App works as promised, and once you figure out the syntax is easy to use (use tutorial)...that being said it needs to be updated! What would take this to a 5 would be the ability to use it split screen, or in slide over mode. As DEWALT stands now it literally only operates in full screen mode, so unless you like app switching for your calculations you’re stuck! Please update and make DEWALT great!

To preface: I’ve never owned a construction calculator before.
It seems silly for me to input fractions and have it give me an answer in decimal form. Doesn’t really help me if I have to take extra steps to covert it back to fractions.

I recently got DEWALT and really like it so far paid the 5 bucks for the carpentry add on and started to try and figure out the stairs for a deck I’m building. Only thing is it only asks for a total run which unless you know exactly the run you need for a specific tread depth doesn’t help maybe there could be an option for a single tread rise and run and it would give you your total run. Also the specs it gives are a little confusing. Are they measurements for what the finished product will look like? Or is that the specs you need to make the stringers? Maybe a simple diagram of the stringer showing measurements could be an option. Just some thoughts. I googled a stairs calculator and found one that had single or full run options. Other then that love DEWALT so far.

UODATE - I was able to redownload the Addons but only if I was co texted to a WiFi network. DEWALT would not recognize my cellular data connection. This an issue that should be resolved but since DEWALT is doing what I want it to do I will edit my rating.

The Add-ons I paid for are no longer showing in DEWALT . When I click the add more calculations it says it can’t connect to DEWALT Store. I was so disappointed when I went to use it today for some plant spacings just to find out that was missing from DEWALT interface. If the issue gets resolved in a timely manner I will happily update my review. It’s a shame that an app I’ve used for years and really loved is no longer as good as when I first got it. 😢

App has been extremely helpful.

Right now I’m reading the baluster examples and it says to select the “=“ on spacing for it to calculate an even amount without a “last” odd number. I’m selecting the “=“, however the calculation stays the same. I must be doing something wrong. Any help would be appreciated.

Good for doing material take off but I purchased the master pack on my iPad expecting it to also be on my iPhone and got nothing so I guess you have to make separate purchases for each device. This needs to be corrected.

Good app. Use the load calc feature a lot. Would like the ability to delete the laundry circuit for apartments and would also like commercial load calculator. Not complaining, just feature requests. Thanks this app developers.

DEWALT is DEWALT I have long waited for. It does so many of the same calculations I previously had to do through an Excel spreadsheet I had saved to my phone. Now I can do it all from DEWALT. And it even lets you save different calculations for different areas of takeoff. Hey, and it's free for now. Definitely no complaints about the power of DEWALT or the price!

I recently started a handy man business, and have had several tile jobs for kitchen backsplashes, so I use their tile feature a lot. I recently had a client select a 3x9 tile. DEWALT did not have that selection. I emailed them, in less than 24 hours they added it. Bravo on your response time! 👏🏽🤟🏽

DEWALT has everything and if it doesn’t you can get it, for a fee of course. Why not support such a great app and purchase the add ons. This is great for the handyman, do-it-yourselfer, and the professional alike. I use it regularly to help with the honey do list and my on lists as well. Get it you won’t regret it.

I haven't even started using DEWALT yet and I can tell it's going to be a godsend for all my estimating projects. I haven't come across an app in a long time that has this much versatility right out of the box. And it's free! I can't recommend DEWALT strongly enough

Teaches you everything you need to know to be handy around the house and also to help estimate how much a job should cost. If a contractor tells you some price ask for specifics and do the numbers to see if it makes sense.

Paid $5 for DEWALT just to make calculations on concrete bags per sq footage. Fortunately the developer listened and made a few bag weight adjustments. I work with different t bags sizes that include 20lb, 25lb, 55lb and 88lb bags. Thank you for making this an even better app!!!

DEWALT is amazing. I can’t ask for anything more. Yeah their cordless drills are absolute garbage, but DEWALT is spotless. I mean what other app tella mowing time, paint amounts, YOUR MORGAGE????!!?!? You don’t see porter cable pro? Milwaukee mobile pro? Nope. this app or nothin.
