This is literally the worst ride sharing app I’ve ever experienced. I have a monthly membership and can’t use it half the time because nextbike isn’t working. I’ve been charged numerous times because nextbike didn’t register that I ended a ride when I did. I’ve had to spend tons of time waiting to talk to customer service to get them to correct it... because on top of nextbike not working, they never respond to help requests or comments. The only reason they’re still around is because they’re the only bike share option in Hoboken. Horrible, horrible, horrible.
Forgot PIN option doesn’t work

I’ve tried numerous times to get my PIN reset through the login screen. Once I enter my phone number, I’m prompted with “we will text you with a new PIN.” I’ve tried about 15 times and still haven’t received a text. I’ve tried re-registering with my phone number Incase my Account was deleted, but I’m told my number is already register. Looks like I won’t be riding until this issue is resolved.

I’m a user in NJ. The system always has errors saying the bike is still running even after you returned and locked it successfully and the panel even said “Returned” and the phone app meter stopped. But somehow hours later it came back telling you it’s still running. One time the GPS map says I have ridden the bike from NY across the Atlantic to Egypt (no joke, I have a screen shot). And no one picks up the customer service line at the time of the issue.
And this happens a lot with the Port Imperial station. The dock does not talk to the central system to register Return resulting the “meter” keeping running on their backend.

I'm using iPhone 6s, when I try to activate my account on nextbike, however, it navigates to a webpage which asking for credit card info, after I fill in, it was not submitting the form, and nextbike is unable to get it, and that is the ONLY way I could found to pay, it even not support Apple Pay !after 3 try to bind my credit card and it keeps failing, I wish the dev team could provide a payment method that WORKS. Thanks!
There is always something wrong nextbike ! I’ll rent a bike and it will automatically lock and return; other times I’ll have trouble returning my bike, other times nextbike won’t even allow me to return the bike. Literally the worst. It’s decent when it actually works though so hooray. You think nextbike has eaten at least $25 from just screwing up alone.

- the register is limited to phone number, and I never receive any PIN number so I need to find another phone number to register. I don’t know why I cannot register by email. - I rent a bike and it shows unavailable, but the service still cost me $2.14? I don’t know why since I never unlock the bike. - the return flow is confusing. I don’t know whether I should press ok or other buttons to confirm my bike return. My friend returned the bike but he received a message about the bike was renting for 7 hours...so he needs to call customer service to correct the status
Many features and services need to be improved. I really feel frustrated about this renting bike experience.

Here in Riga they don’t look after their bikes so having no brakes or broken handle is considered as ok by this company. Parking locations is very limited and App not showing exact spot where to park, showing approx green field only. Parking within green zone still charging a fee from your account as incorrect parking without any prior notification that you are not in correct place. Upon registering you pay 10€. You will never see your money again even if you do not like to ride malfunctioned bikes. Customer support? No they do not have one. I still give them 2 stars because they do have bikes and you can roll it if you are brave enough.

I will start on a + note: the customer service is excellent. Every rep I’ve spoken to has been kind, helpful and super professional.
I also really appreciate the monthly service plan. Very reasonably priced.
A lot of bikes are out of service but so are citibikes.
I don’t like giving negative reviews but I think it’s necessary to help improve the service. nextbike is horrendous. I have to call customer support to rent a bike every time. Updating credit card or seeing what bikes are available! Forget about it. I have customer service on speed dial for this reason.
If nextbike worked I’d be really really happy!

I was excited to us this. The prices are great, but I spent more time on customer service (which is fast and awesome) than riding the bikes. Tried using it as a primary means of transportation, but this isn’t possible because even if nextbike shows bikes, it’s 50/50 as to whether or not they work.
I love love love biking around any new territory. For me, the absolute Best of both worlds: getting some exercise, while learning the ins and outs of the heartbeats of the cities, pueblo‘s, nooks and crannies of any place I’ve ever lived in or visited. this app is a awesome platform, however it’s Zagreb is not the best bike city, even though 100s bike everywhere everyday. The bike paths are not wide enough, nor leveled curbs so you can get up on the curb without bashing your tires. My biggest problem with this app is the fact that I have to walk 3-6 klms just to get to a station. I believe you should have more stations in all the hubs all around the city and in some of the out-of-the way areas wherever there’s a congregation of 100s of people. Even if it’s just five or six more station hubs, in six high-traffic areas will make life a lot easier, and y’all would be taking in far more money. I’m a travel writer and in all my Strava biking posts, your bikes are prominently featured. I’d love to write an article for Trip Advisory and others promoting your wonderful services. Please think about adding at least 6, but hopefully 12 or 18 more bike stations. Thanks Shawn Carson

This a very helpful app when I need to locate a bike or if there are none at any stations near by I know I need to use alternate transportation. It sure beats going to the local station and none are there! It’s also way more convenient to actually rent the bike using nextbike , very quick and easy

The bikes are excellent and easy to rent. Highly recommend it. Once my suggestion is allow me to rent two bikes so two of us new to the city don’t need the same app. We’re only talking about a couple of pounds per bike rental show the time it takes to do nextbike makes it a pain in the rear. It was my first time using nextbike in West Palm Beach. nextbike was super easy to use and set up. The bikes themselves are in above average condition and the functionality of each unit works nearly 100% (my bike had a broken bell - not that I would use it but my girlfriends bell was brand new). We loved our experience and will be back next weekend.
Registering in the system was a little buggy and took about 15 minutes so if you ever think you’ll want to rent one, I’d say download nextbike register and activate your account before you get to the bikes.
When i returned the bike, it didn't register as returned on the trip meter in nextbike and I didn’t realize until hours later. But i sent a report and they updated it within 24hrs. So it was cool. If you want to avoid that, just make sure the bike is returned properly before you leave.
Can’t wait to ride again!!

I absolutely love renting bikes using nextbike and it’s so easy to use ! I must say though that the 24h rental is far more convenient than renting it just for one hour or two. The price is set up so that it caps at $25, and so you can’t be charged more than $25 within 24 hrs from time of rental. Therefore, that’s to say that the cost of renting it for 5 hours is equivalent to the cost of renting it for 24hs. My friend and I picked up the bikes at North Hudson Park in North Bergen and rode the bikes up to Fort Lee and across the GWBridge to NYC. We then rode the bicycles along the west side highway and down to Central Park, around two laps and back home! One word, AWESOME!!

If you feel like a bike its there and relatively cheep. A few occasions this summer we spontaneously showed up downtown and then hopped from place to place around pgh. Lawrenceville, northside and Southside are all easily reachable on a bike from town. Like last time we parked downtown rode to the strip to shop and had a drink. Ate in Lawrenceville after checking out a festival at the cemetery then rode to north side for a drink then back to the car. A full day and a fun way to see and experience Pittsburgh.

Loved this first time bike ride on the trail near the jail where we rented the bikes. Perfect day for an hour bike ride. Called to register and someone helped us with no problem. Very patient she was to have us only pass the cell around to each other and set us up. Bike comfortable and East especially for a first time on one on about 30 years at least.
I’ve used their bikes (and of course nextbike) in Hannover, Germany. They both work well. I had some trouble confirming my payment method on nextbike but can still unlock and use the bikes (while paying via Paypal later) so it’s all good. Keep up the great work!

You would think this project was completely abandoned if it weren’t for customer service. The bike software + app is absolute junk and I literally have to call customer service every time because their tech is atrocious. It often won’t shutoff the meter after I clearly parked it, charging me more and there are constant bugs just to rent thing. I hope they improve the tech because I appreciate the overall service.

Sometimes the bikes that nextbike says are there are not there. Sometimes there are countless unused bikes at a station but nextbike tells you they are unavailable. Occasionally the bikes won’t allow you to return them.

Sometimes the GPS and map are off. The other night I spent 45 minutes going to 3 bikes that were on the map but didn’t exist in real life. This was disappointing as it was raining and I was then late for my event.
We’ve tried systems like this in other cities and these are by far the most comfortable, higher quality bikes we’ve seen. Every bike seems to be ready to go with everything in top shape. Love it!!!!
