App doesn’t work

The old app was awesome but since they updated to this one wallet version it no longer works on my iPhone. The Home Screen just has an eternal spinning loading icon and doesn’t give me a prompt to log in. I have to use a browser to log in to my account. When calling customer service for help they told me to change my password, which worked once and then I had the eternal loading screen again. I refuse to change my password everytime I need to check my account so I just never use it. Terrible app.

Updated review

The developer reached out, instead of simply putting a make payment button the answer is. . . Go to “pay/transfer” click TRANSFER (nothing in the word pay. Then guess at the monthly payment because it’s not there and as a new mortgage I had to contact service a second time to find that out. Click payment due - NOT principal or escrow. Put something in the memo line noting the month your paying to keep track. Last step - Immediately freak out when you notice every payment you make only goes to principal, the call customer service to tell them their app mis applied the payment. When asked which one? Unknown, IBONEWallet doesn’t show memo’s. Real Final step, call back customer service when it doesn’t fix in a few days

Cannot authenticate after launch

The application does not let you sign in to your account after opening IBONEWallet —either on WiFi or cellular. Either an unknown error occurs or a message stating to contact the main line appears. Even after an uninstall, clear of the cache, phone reboot and then re-install, the application fails to authenticate.

Even after working with customer support, the workaround was to use the website on my desktop or via Safari on my phone.

At the current moment, this application does not perform its function.

Terrible

Hate this new app, previously when I would make a purchase I would be standing at the credit card machine/kiosk and get notified of my purchase. Now I get notified 1-3 days after my transaction.
I’ve already experienced fraudulent charges a few months ago, if you can’t fix the immediate notifications I’m leaving this bank, I’ve been with Independent bank for 20+ weeks years.
This is not ok with the technology that’s available and especially that it worked great before this new app and website.
I wouldn’t even give it one star but that isn’t an option.
Beyond frustrated.

Garbage app

(ExPECT 2 hr wait times if you want to customer support) IBONEWallet is useful if you like wasting money and time because when you try to transfer any amount of money it will eat up your whole afternoon loading and sending error messages. When your tormented evening is over, you’ve not only lost the money you were trying to transfer but you can say goodbye to any plans you had the next day because, as a reward for being robbed of your balance, you can expect to spend more hours on hold in an even longer line than before thanks to your bank merging with a mega bank. Do NOT download IBONEWallet if you are sending any serious amount of money or if you value your time whatsoever. They do not. I’ve gone through these issues multiple times and there’s really no sign of stoppage. Ever since I joined independent bank in 2017 it has been a downhill ride. Reduction in quality, customer service, and response time. It’s insulting banking with these clowns.

Could be useful. It’s not.

Supposedly IBONEWallet was originally released four years ago? I’d been using the IB Banking App before this and switched over after IBONEWallet was taken down (and everything was offline for four days!) just to find when I had finally managed to log in (9-10 attempts later, it wasn’t registering anything I was doing for a hot minute) that my none of my deposits had registered! (Over 200$ worth of deposits!) Lots of problems with transactions registering or not, finicky overlay and fussy interface. If IBONEWallet were more reliable I would find it likeable. From what I’ve seen just about any other banking interface runs smoother.

Completely dysfunctional and makes baking stressful

I have tried to use IBONEWallet for over two years. I dread having to use it; it takes multiple attempts to transfer money, and I find myself having to close out of IBONEWallet at LEAST twice per usage. The Zelle feature is absolutely terrible. If I miss a payment, it won’t let me make it up. It won’t let me change or add an account to use with Zelle. I’m stuck using the same account (that’s not even relevant to the payments I’m making) for every payment. The overall app experience is slow, stressful, and frustrating. I was hoping IBONEWallet would be convenient. Instead, it makes me want to drive 25 minutes to my nearest bank. I’m sure it could be great with the right attention. It just needs a lot of help:(

Internal transfers fail

Every immediate internal transfer that I have attempted to make between my checking account and loan account has failed. Also my new recurring scheduled transfer from my independent bank checking account to my independent bank loan account also failed. The only transfer that has worked is when independent bank is pulling money from an external account into my independent bank checking account.
Finally, after attempting to make a transfer through the listed phone number-which also didn’t work- and finally got a representative on the phone they stated that they could not help me stating that they were with the online banking and that I would need to be transferred to customer service.
Independent Bank is not winning any points with me today!

What a horribly designed and executed app. To transfer money between accounts now takes multiple tries and closing IBONEWallet several times. Countless white screens forcing me to close IBONEWallet and try again just to press facial recognition and wait for IBONEWallet to buffer and load for 10 minutes. And that’s if it even works! Don’t know how many times I received the massage that an “unknown error has occurred please try again later”. I’ve only used IBONEWallet successfully maybe 7 times. It’s difficult to pay your bills when IBONEWallet is constantly down and you cannot see how much money is in which account so you have to either drive to a location to physically put your card in the ATM and get a receipt or call independent banks telephone number. Please for the love of Christ, fix IBONEWallet. The old one was much better.

Rarely updated…

This is the slowest functioning app I have. I’m no longer able to use zelle to receive money because for some reason it’s button was removed. They updated the layout of IBONEWallet and somehow made it even less organized than before. The original layout was better. Make sure to save your login because if you don’t, it’ll take 2 years just to load the login screen. Mind you, I have a fine connection to my wifi so it’s not a problem on my end. IBONEWallet is so bad I’m considering switching to a different bank. It shouldn’t be this hard just to check my balance.

Completely non-functional

I don’t like to leave bad reviews but I’m frustrated and at a loss. I’ve had an ongoing issue with IBONEWallet for over 2 years now without any resolution.

I’ve worked with IT on this several times now, they point the finger at Apple & then try to fix my iPhone’s settings like that’s the problem. After having sat on the phone with IT for an hour the first time, & sat in the bank managers office 45 minutes the second while he worked with IT, I can confirm that “resetting the cache,” “reinstalling IBONEWallet ,” “resetting network settings,” etc. had no effect.

I again reached out to Apple support, who told me that this is a problem on the developers end. I dug my old iPhone 8 out of storage to confirm that the problem exists across all of my devices.

Independent Bank’s IT department has been really helpful in trying to resolve this issue, but have so far failed to identify what the problem might be. Not having access to mobile banking outside of safari is really inconvenient, especially when the problem has persisted for so long through numerous updates.

Slow to respond

Each button tap is quite slow to respond. It takes more than 3 seconds for an action to be completed. Sometimes when I tap a button, I’m not sure if it actually took.
The number entry lines could also be cleaned up. Some put in a decimal point automatically, while others don’t. Some have a number keypad, while others show the full keyboard. Please add number keypads to ALL number entries, and have the decimal automatically added.
I’ll change my review as IBONEWallet gets updated.

Unstable

IBONEWallet is very unstable. You login and after 2-3 seconds IBONEWallet boots you off due to session inactivity. I even pulled IBONEWallet up in the bank lobby. I tried to update information via app—nope! Teller didn’t have much to say. You can look at your account information but that is about all. I have a new iPhone 14, uninstalled app… and the challenge questions at the start of each login. That is old, too. Maybe a reminder? Click a box and if I need/want another layer of security I will apply it to my app/account.

Doesn’t Work Anymore

When I first opened up my account through Independent Bank, everything worked great. However, these past few months I can’t even log into my account on IBONEWallet . I have to use the browser. It’s not that big of a deal to go out of my way to use the browser, but I would like to use IBONEWallet . It always says “The mobile banking application is experiencing intermittent connection issues, please try again.” It has been this way for months and I have tried everything.

Customer Service is Horrible

I’ve made several attempts to contact customer service and each time, if I’m lucky enough to get someone on the phone and most times I’m not, they’re unable to answer my question. Time on phone the majority of the time is over an hour.
I’ve made several requests for a copy of the agreement I signed when setting up IBONEWallet , I still don’t have a copy. It looked like I was gonna be able to print it after I agreed to terms and I couldn’t.

Forced to use

When I first started using IBONEWallet, it was not designed for iPad. (It did not fill the screen.) Then, it starting working fine, and I was able to do all of my banking from the iPad. Now, over the last 4-6 weeks, it no longer works. Whatever version update was done, made it revert back to the beginning issues with Pad, and it does not format properly. IBONEWallet needs work.

Lots of features!

I have been banking with Independent Bank for a long time. I really enjoy the ONE Wallet app and all the updates that have been rolling out over the last few years. I love all the features in IBONEWallet , especially card controls, so I don’t have to worry if I lose my card. The transfer functionality has also improved greatly, thank you!

Bills calendar

Can you please include a Bills calendar for budget planning? Has these features: - A monthly calendar view - Write in recurring bills in the square for that day of the month - Write in recurring incomes The Day Squares will show Bills in Red Numerals, and show Incomes in Green Numerals. The Day Square does this function: - Shows each Bill Name and Amount - Shows each Income Name and Amount - Shows Net Amount

Great app

Easy to use, convenient, gives you peace of mind. Love the purchases alert feature. I got an alert that my debit card was being used out of state and I immediately logged on and shut the card off. The following day I got a new one printed out at my local branch. Thanks Independent Bank!

Does not work on iPhone 12

When IBONEWallet was first released it worked great, I really liked IBONEWallet because it removed the hassle of logging in using a browser. After about a month it stopped working as has not worked since. I’ve removed and downloaded IBONEWallet multiple times across several months and the issue has never been fixed.
