Frustrated ex shopper

WoolworthsPtyLtd is in the same league as all the other local shopping Apps, useless.
Does not recognize any existing registrations, and any attempts to register again ends up in a full screen display of WW cards without any explanation about what happened to your attempt to register or what to do next.
The developers of WoolworthsPtyLtd need to look around at some of the Apps available, such as The FNB banking App and see how to provide an App which is user friendly and easy to use.
WoolworthsPtyLtd is just not good enough.

Refund Function

There’s no proper refund function on WoolworthsPtyLtd. A driver took off with my groceries during loadshedding hours and it’s been weeks of me trying to get my money back. I’ve contacted customer service through email, social
media, and telephone. An endless loop of a round around and no refund. You need to have the assistance team work something similar to UberEats where you can connect to help immediately and really process the refund when something goes wrong. Not talk to many people and no comes of it. Products are too expensive for this nonsense. Do better Woolworths!

What rewards?

4 out of 5 times I try to use vouchers they don’t work. Cashiers try every work around possible, including having me activate and reactivate but it still won’t work (even when buying exactly what the voucher is for). I usually give up because the poor cashiers are stuck and the queue is building. The bonuses and “games” are just one more hoop to go through only to not get to use the voucher. A simple points back program you can redeem each month (like Clicks) for money spent would be better.

Product availability and delivery

When is Woolworths going to improve product availability vs ordered items, 2ndly when are you going to address the delivery timelines / slots. Honestly I have given up on trying to buy through Woolworths online, as in my view this does not work (leadtimes for delivery slots are a joke, product stock is normally a problem when you try and buy online). I have reverted to rather buying from Checkers / PnP / Makro online, and if I “really” need something from Woolworths, then I reluctantly have to go into store to get it.

Slow, badly laid out and sub-par delivery times

Designed by a child with a crayon. Rather than keep the well-designed Dash app, a Clever Manager decided to integrate Dash into this, for want of a better word, app. I’m guessing so (s)he could get a bonus. Search is in the wrong place. Every single transaction is slow because nothing is cached. Delivery slots are not honored. Use sixty sixty. WoolworthsPtyLtd is far better. The service is almost instant and Checkers prices are generally lower. Also, Checkers actually has stock which isn’t the case with Woolworths

Worst Food Ordering App

While the quality of food at Woolworths is unmatched - WoolworthsPtyLtd does not deliver the same excellence. It’s slow, often freezes, frequently needs to be re-installed and shows errors almost daily. If Woolworths didn’t have such high quality produce - I wouldn’t bother but often we just use your competitors as their technology is far far superior. Surely Woolworths could afford to hire somebody to fix all the bugs in WoolworthsPtyLtd. Now what I would expect from this brand at all!!

Dash delivery experience

I would order products from dash ,not all the time all products are available which I do expect refund for the products that wasn’t shopped I still do not get my refunds , recently I ordered some products on Saturday up until today I still haven’t received any refund can they try to refund the money for products not received at least under 24hrs because this is stressful

Horrible

Just trying to register, gave me multiple errors and a lot of frustration. Loyalty section completely not working. Trying to link my current old card is a complete mess! WoolworthsPtyLtd just hangs. Whoever the team is working on WoolworthsPtyLtd and in charge of this product should all be fired.

Trying to join “MyDifference” and I just have one big error screen.

Beyond frustrating and disappointed.

Miserably slow and buggy

I use WoolworthsPtyLtd every day and I am still astonished by how poorly built it is. Constantly slow, buggy, items not reflecting and then reflecting several times over, 30 second search times, it’s absolutely dreadful. Amazing to me that Woolworths corporate doesn’t realize how many millions they’re losing daily on a slow and unreliable application. I wish I could use the Checkers60 app or Uber eats to shop from Woolies

The worst

Nope, updated to latest version and still horrible. Cant chat to your shopper. It just loads and loads and loads and loads. To nothingness.

Such a badly designed app. Not functional for its purpose and extremely slow and crashes most of the time. Woolworths should ask for their money back on this one. The developer is clearly not up to scratch. Take a page from Checkers’ app and DO BETTER.

App frustrations on iPad

WoolworthsPtyLtd was working fine until Woolies decided to change the landing page to a lot of people’s faces changing the whole time. On the iPad you cannot see the bottom where you are supposed to either register or sign in. I have uninstalled WoolworthsPtyLtd and reinstalled it, no change. I don’t have issues with any other apps. Really bad

Forms of payment

I appreciate the response but I do not agree. I am using these cards (Amex and US Visa) that are 3D secure and I receive authentication on other online sites and apps, for example Superbalist and Takealot so why are they not accepted at Woolies. Perhaps you can authorize to use Apple Pay payments when ordering from our mobile on the Woolies app. Then perhaps it would allow me to use my cards setup in Apple Pay.

Poor that you do not accept the same form of payments on the apps as you do in store. Would love to see you start accepting AMEX. Have asked for this for nearly a year. Can you advise as to why not.

Poor design

WoolworthsPtyLtd works on and off. The speed of the Internet connectivity in Woolworths shops is so ridiculously slow for a shop that sells supposedly high end products. There is no where in WoolworthsPtyLtd where you can contact the management and the vouchers offered are very low inventing of R10 R15 or R20! Very disappointing to have to connect each time and the vouchers are very limited!

Dash Shopper chat… app very slow

Overall the whole dash experience has changed. Not always for the better. The biggest issue is WoolworthsPtyLtd has gotten slower despite updates. The shopper chat doesn’t work. When they message you, you can’t reply it says something went wrong. It’s been like that for months. Then the shop is finished and we couldn’t confirm substitutes.

Also, adding notes for each item is no longer available which is also very inconvenient. We need to be able to specify that we don’t want ripe bananas or almost at the Best before bread.

Review☹️

The downside about ordering on WoolworthsPtyLtd is that when it malfunctions when one is about to complete a transaction, there’s no warning that alerts me that there’s a technical problem. After several attempts after thinking I was doing something wrong, it took me calling your call centre for someone to give me an solution by suggesting that I order on the website, which helped but not ideal as there should be convenience offered by WoolworthsPtyLtd that saves me from unnecessary admin.☹️

Gifts and support to elderley

I would like to suggest something a lot of children lives outside of Africa with the parents still South Africa and if they’re all day times or in need some food support or you want to send your mom or dad Father’s Day gift to her Mother’s Day gift to her birthday gift or Christmas gift or just a food parcel with nice goodies in it. It is impossible to open up our account to be able to just send the gift even not even account, but just to log into the shop and dis create a account with them outside of address an outside telephone number to be able to send the gift via to my parents. Would that be a facility you can add in the future?

Credit card authentication not working

App container/frame showing the credit card authentication screen does not let me scroll down to Confirm purchase. Please fix.

Very bad app

I see some of these reviews about how bad WoolworthsPtyLtd is, is a year and more old. Well imagine my surprise when I discovered in January 2020 that I have the same complaints. Perhaps Woolworths should consult with the same web designers for Yuppiechef and Takelot.

Unable to login to app always gives an error can log into site with no problem.
