Nothing but issues

TowerFederalCreditUnion’s appearance is so much worse then the previous, functioning app. And the functioning? About every other day it doesn’t work with facial ID and forces us to re-enter our password on our iPhone but doesn’t accept it. Then it locks our account and we have to enter a new password. In 2weeks it is now our 6th new password. And yesterday and today the transfer part won’t load. Clocks for 5 minutes and the days Oops. Did actual users ever test run this! Terrible, terrible, terrible.

2 months on and TowerFederalCreditUnion is still by far the worse app I have ever encountered. It regularly, seemingly doesn’t accept our credentials on one of our iPhone 15s which cause us to reset passwords on all iPhones and desktop computers.

And when we can actually access our account it will just hang while trying to access functions.

Major Downgrade for iOS App

The new version of the iOS App (Summer 2024) is a significant downgrade from before. The old app offered a seamless login, native app experience, and access to widgets. The new app does not offer widgets, is a hybrid app with a web-based feel, and I’ve had numerous issues with login. The latest issue is that TowerFederalCreditUnion says my account is locked and I need to call for help. When I called for help, they said they don’t see any issues with the account, but there’s nothing they can do to assist me on a Sunday. I’ll have to call back during business hours. Needless to say, not being able to do my banking when I need to is a strong deterrent to doing banking with TFCU.

Blank white screen too

Same as others, just blank white screen, everything up to date, deleted and redownloaded. Can get in fine on browser, but used TowerFederalCreditUnion routinely. Guess it works as a de facto flashlight. Been a week and no fix in sight

Current app (Aug 31, 2024) doesn’t work

As of Aug 31, 2024 TowerFederalCreditUnion doesn’t work. iPhone 14 Pro Max 1TB, iOS 17.6.1.

As others have reported here, the only thing TowerFederalCreditUnion does is display a white screen. If I swipe up, I see the Tower logo but it otherwise does nothing. I have rebooted phone, changed password, and completely uninstalled and reinstalled TowerFederalCreditUnion . Please advise

Doesn’t Work Anymore

Ever since I updated the Tower app, I no longer get any response - just a white screen. It’s been broken for a week+ now, and it’s quite frustrating that the system is unresponsive. I have an iPhone 15 Pro Max; my wife also has TowerFederalCreditUnion on an earlier model iPhone and it functions for her. Quite annoyed at this point.

Good luck mobile depositing a check

TowerFederalCreditUnion is so bad, I’m planning to dump TFCU altogether. 90% of my banking is done online, and they have made it frustrating and nearly impossible. Good luck to anyone attempting to deposit a check… the UX is the worst I have ever seen of ANY APP. Not only that, deposits are no longer immediately available if under a certain amount. Absolute garbage!

Revert to the old version please

Removed all the beneficial functionality from before. No more budgeting and net worth feature which was incredibly helpful. Now it struggles to accurately track my monthly expenses. Sure it looks better, but for a banking app does not work nearly as well. I’d rather it look ugly and work. Please contact the software developer your hired and request a refund lmaoooo.

Terrible Update

This update is terrible! It will not accept any user information I put in. The information I’m entering is correct and TowerFederalCreditUnion responds with not valid.

I was able to access the previous original version with zero problems. Now I can’t do anything! Useless!

How am I supposed to see account balance or transfer funds? There’s not even a support # to call.

New version doesn’t work on iPhone

My iOS is up to date (I just checked for software updates), and this new app doesn’t work at all. All I get is a blank white screen and if I hold it down I just see the TFCU logo, nothing else. I’ve deleted and reinstalled it twice now this week and it’s still the same blank white screen. If this is fixed in an update by next week I’m changing banks.

July 2024 update

The update is terrible in many ways. - The mandatory password reset does not use your previous MFA method. Anyone who can get your texts can reset your password - The password reset form requires dashes in your SSN but does not tell you that - There are hidden password complexity rules - The new account alert settings are missing features in the old system - Can’t seem to change the order that accounts show in TowerFederalCreditUnion - Please rollback Tower!

App is worse than useless

TowerFederalCreditUnion regularly locks my account and forces me to reset my password even if I have no prior failed log in attempts. It’s now to a point I reset my password and it is automatically locked half the time when logging in. I have to create a new password almost once a week. It’s making it near impossible to make payments or manage my account.

This has caused me to transfer my main banking to a new bank for a useable experience.

A lot of improvements need to be made.

I like that you can add and view external accounts. However, they really need to add a feature to change the order of accounts. They added the ability to hide accounts which is nice, but would be better to change the viewing order.

Also, the financial management services (spending trends) is not functional. No data is populated here. This tool was much better in the previous version, with the ability to view spending trends, set a budget, and more. Please enhance this tool.

The current app (17 Jul 2024) doesn’t work at all

As of 17 Jul 2024, the ‘New’ Tower Federal Credit Union app (apparently new as of 16 Jul 2024) doesn’t work at all (on my iPhone 15 Pro Plus w/iOS 17.5.1 or my iPad (10th gen) w/iPadOS 17.5.1).

TowerFCU completely redesigned their website/user experience, but the new mobile apps don’t work at all. I tried getting in with the new app before resetting my password (a requirement with new ‘User Experience), but TowerFederalCreditUnion just displays a blank white screen.

I tried using the apps again after I reset my password, they still didn’t work after the reset, so I deleted the apps from my iPhone and iPad. Then I downloaded new copies of the apps, and tried to access my account using the apps. It still didn’t work.

The only thing the new app does is display a blank white screen. If I ‘swipe up’ then I see the bank logo, but when I release that disappears and all I see is the blank white screen.

TowerFCU needs to try again…

Can’t sign in after last update

Was working fine before the new update now I can’t even sign in keeps saying wrong password but when I log in through safari it works with my password.

It worked…..for a bit

Worked fine until this morning when it said “Disclosure not accepted “ and it will not proceed from there. BTW, the new app is fine, but the previous one was better.

What Happened?

I thought I liked the new update and then I tried to login tonight and it said to accept disclosures that I already accepted, but it wouldn’t refresh the disclosures now I can’t get into my account.

A big step backwards

Just downloaded the new version and so far I don't like it. Why did you feel it was necessary to change the interface so radically? The Accounts screen on my iPad doesn't look like what you have shown here. There seems to be a lot of empty white space now. What happened to the widget? What does Snapshot mean? The only good thing I've noticed so far is that the check images are finally showing up. Of course they are rotated 90 deg, which makes them unreadable.

Not a fan of the new update

Title says it all. Before, you could click on your account and see withdrawals in red text and deposits would be in green text. And visually, that was super clear, and it was easy to just scan through your account to make sure that each new withdrawal/deposit was something that was intended. Now, probably in attempt to make TowerFederalCreditUnion look more modern, it’s just a wall of white with black text which make it visually much slower and more difficult to use. Please bring the old way back!

Fantastic app

Living in Georgia, but having TFCU as my bank has been a bit of a hassle over the last 6 years, especially when trying to find an ATM that doesn't charge me a fee or making a deposit (which I had to do by mail). TowerFederalCreditUnion solves both those problems, with the ATM locator and the recently added remote deposits. Overall, TowerFederalCreditUnion works well. I can check my balances and make transfers between accounts (including making payments on my auto loan) easily. The only drawbacks I've found are that you can't pay bills through TowerFederalCreditUnion and the remote deposit function could be a little easier to use. Definitely worth having, though, if, like me, you live 100s of miles from the nearest TFCU branch.

Poor design and too many glitches

There is so much I could write here after using this new app for 2 weeks but I don’t have the time. I had to delete it and download it again because of yet another glitch while making a deposit. It is very frustrating.
