Should be much better
This has nothing to offer but very simple data which can’t be drilled down into to see details. I couldn’t find a dispute option anywhere and why would there be a separate app. to view and lock credit accounts. You should take a look at Experian‘s app., which looks like their developers wanted to give the user of their app. a lot more of the users own information. Developers, think about what you want to see in a credit report and then think outside of the box of things that can be added to the app. that gives the user more information and more control of the users information. *if a manager or VP won’t let you make this app. better than you should update your resume because that person is dumb as a box of rocks and should be transferred to the data entry area because that’s typing information directly from a piece of paper. ie.... no thought involved. I can log in!!! Yay
This new update actually works. I stopped using TransUnion because I didn’t want to log in through a browser. It’s been a long time. There are still bugs it seems. After 2-3 different menu selections the app shuts off. It’s happening regularly. Anyway, I’m happy to at least be able to login :-) Sad that such an important organization can’t get an app to work on a iphoneX with the latest iOS.

I was a victim of ID theft and having this app allows me to lock my credit and view my credit reports anytime I want.
Great except for debt ratio glitch...
I really like the app and the it displays. A couple complaints: There is no way to contact TransUnion other than to call during business hours for minor questions. One such thing is that the app shuts down every time to try to do something in the debt ratio section. When I turn to that feature now, there are several multiples of the same “debt added by me” data (like 20) and the app crashes if I try to delete them. The website just wont save any changes. Weird.
This App is ONLY for People that Pay for Transunion to Monitor their Credit
Unlike Experian and Equifax, nothing is free from transunion except once a year you can get a free credit report. I have spent a very long time on the phone with them and finally today I asked the person about the app. All of the customer service reps I spoke with said this app was no good. I finally asked if it costs to use this app, and it does. To use their “free” app it is “My Transunion”. It’s a waste of time with one exception, if you need to freeze or unfreeze your report with them then that is the app to do it with. What a huge waste of time.
Poor Password Management
I signed up and successfully logged in through a desktop browser, and then downloaded the iOS app for easier access: same credentials do not work. This is also the case on their myTrueIdentity app. I then went back and tried again on their desktop browser based website. No problems! I’m in. However, when I attempt to access the sites from a mobile browser - FAILURE! TransUnion: you have a mobile issue - I suspect that your full browser site accepts different passwords than does your mobile sites. Embarrassing.
A joke to be honest
First off the app kept timing out before I was done signing up even though I was doing it in a timely matter. Secondly they have a design flaw where they didn’t send a verification text until after they had taken my money. I kept inputting the number exactly as they sent it to me and it some how couldn’t verify me making me call. All the questions they asked to verify me where like 10 years old and they had none of my recent addresses or loans on file. App is poorly made, the whole operation is a joke.
Timeliness of Updates
TransUnion is exceedingly slow updating my accounts. I refinanced my mortgage 6 weeks ago; the old loan has been repaid and closed on the Experian site since two Weeks after the refinance. TransUnion has had both loans outstanding on my account for 3 or 4 weeks and still maintains both loans. So my outstanding debt appears to be twice what the actual amount is. I would love to see the account balances updated timely. Another week has passed and still no update.
ATROCIOUS, not WORKING. SCAMMERS
Completed all the sign up info, get to the credit card information. Can’t log in right away, getting error message “Something went wrong”. But they already charged me subscription fee WITHOUT ME LOGGING IN ONCE. Called customer service, they said, I should’ve completed my profile on the computer instead because subscribing through the app doesn’t work. THEY WILL LEAD YOU THROUGH SUBSCRIPTION SIGN UP IN THE APP AND CHARGE YOU MONEY FOR IT THOUGH. For the app you can’t even use!!!! Mind me, they have different subscriptions through website and the app. Web - $25/month, app - $10/month. You can’t complete online profile without signing up for more expensive service of $25/month. Tell me: what’s the point of your app if people can’t use it?! SCAMMERS, don’t give them your money or personal information.
My Bank Of America with is power by Trans Union and my Experian Credit monitoring system that also looks at My TransUnion Credit does not match yours, which is TransUnion. And you are always lower than who else monitors TransUnion. In others words you are not correct again 1) Experian who monitors TransUnion and 2) Equifax, who I also pay to get your TransUnion score and 3) Bank Of America who is power by TransUnion. And you are always much lower than the other three that monitors your scoring system.
This is a terrible app especially since you pay for the service. When using app it keeps kicking you out when using some of the option in the app, such as turning off a loan that you have paid but hasn’t been received by credit bureau. Unable to simulate credit score. I have deleted app and reinstalled still does same thing. Ready to cancel especially since I pay and does not work right.
Over priced subscription
At they current monthly subscription price one would think that you could done more within the app itself. You pretty much can only view your score which is NOT accurate based on the actual score the lender sees. The features are pretty basic in that you can only see the score/accounts but can’t dispute or do anything else from the app.
Investigation are done properly and credit card not updated
I have been trying to get to thing corrected on my credit report and nothing was done even though I sent documents approving my cases. Second they credit card showing the wrong balances and some I paid off. My correct has been up dated since July. They have me with a credit usages if 12% and it’s only 6%.
I’ve had this app for a very long time and enjoyed it. I can’t seem to get back into the app. I’ve tried logging in and my user Id doesn’t work and it’s not that simple if you hit the forgot password. I called the support, tried using my ssn along with my last name and that’s a failure. This is the most frustrating experience.
The app crashes — Can’t edit the Debt Analysis data Monthly Income or Monthly Payments. Even though my income is not displayed correctly, I’m not able to change it. Even though some debts are zero or lower or wanting to add a new one, I’m unable to do it.
