Unprofessional

No other app compares with Mirastar with making check deposits. It can’t recognize text , rejects and expects you to take multiple pictures, and eventually rejects the deposit one day later due to frivolous reasons.
The update has also made it difficult to use, rejects password, poor layout of information. Stay away if you can.

Terrible App

New App is terrible, the old one was better. I called SCCFCU yesterday because I couldn’t deposit a check. After multiple attempts over the weekend Mirastar would not let me make a deposit and kept booting me out of Mirastar and I had to keep logging back in. I was told over the phone that the problem was fixed, however my first attempt today to deposit a check, Mirastar shut down and booted me out, again. My second attempt went through. But, I had to do it twice, so there’s still something wrong with Mirastar . The old app was much better and I never had this issue with depositing a check.

Impossible to pay credit card

I have a secured credit card with SCCFCU and now it’s impossible to pay my credit card. All it does is show you a balance but not what the transactions are or what’s pending and you can’t pay anything. I have to log in through a desktop computer to make a payment which is annoying. App needs to be updated to be able to see your transactions and actually make a payment with your external bank account or whatever payment method from Mirastar itself; or even website through your mobile devices.

New app, but is it necessary? No

Okay I got a notice saying my old banking app was going to be replaced with not one but TWO new apps. Why would anyone think making one good app split it into two? Why not make a superior app that can do what the two can?
Anyway I downloaded this one because how can one function without their bank app anymore these days... I go to login and it’s asking for my social security number. Excuse me why do you need that for a bank app? My card number sure, my account number, okay, but my social? I’m not comfortable with that. And Mirastar doesn’t even have anything that assures me that it’s safe to enter that sensitive information like the lock symbol thingy or saying it’s “secure”. This whole thing has left a bad taste in my mouth and I’m not about it.

I have to verify it’s me, even though I know my sign in and password Information? And even when I entered all my information for the “first time sign in” it still didn’t work, they “couldn’t validate my Information”. This Was absolutely not necessary, why not just update the old app VS creating a new one? This is garbage and have been on hold for 30 minutes and counting....

Looking for a new bank

I'm no longer able to depoist checks with the new app. When I called customer support their suggestion was to install Mirastar on someone else's phone! Now it doesn't allow me to log in at all so I guess depositing checks is no longer my main problem. I've banked with SCCFCU for 20 years and the recent upgrades (the new website is a joke too) have me looking at other banks.

Today's update ate my Face ID

I had no issues with Mirastar until I updated two minutes ago. After the update, Mirastar acted as if I had mever set up Face ID. When I logged into Mirastar manually, I could see that my phone was enrolled, but I had to delete it and re-enroll it in order to get Face ID to work again.

Biometrics not working well

I have been with SCCFCU for many years and overall it is pretty good. However the mobile banking needs some fine tuning on the biometric sign in. It is constantly having me input my I.D. and password instead of reading the biometrics. I think I this maybe a security measure. So maybe update the security so it is in line or up to date with other banking and credit card companies. This is the only bank that does this, that I do business with. It is frustrating, because sometimes I am away from where I have my password stored and then I must change it again, making it even more difficult to remember; because I have had to change it so many times. Argh! I hope this is fixed soon. Thank you.

External transfer issues

For me the main reason I use the account is to do external transfers. Worked great the first time. Then it has not since. App looks great. I have not used any other features. For me, it is more of a hassle than a convenience.

Fast Balance Widget doesn’t work and the redesign is okay

The new fast balances widget doesn’t work, I’ve tried to make it work, I emailed customer service and their answer was just not to use the feature. It’s frustrating when a feature isn't working and the response is, don’t use it.

Log & check copies

To log in wether through your own mobile or computer, it ask to verify all the time. And it doesn’t give you an option to copy your check anymore.

I liked the old way of bill pay, you could print the confirmation. I kept those for my records.
However, I do like the option of the camera being controlled by you. I shake a lot so it really helps.

Face ID doesn’t work

It’s been working perfectly fine the past years, but I believe the recent update has a bug or something, because it will not let me use Face ID no matter how many time I re set it up. Very annoying.

I loved the old app, but they discontinued it, and I didn’t realize until I tried to reinstall it... the “first login” questionnaire is an joke. And the User interface and experience is a HUGE step backward for legibility and clarity.

What a mess

First of All it won’t let me up date my home phone to my cell phone. Then Mirastar wants to verify each time with a phone call. Ok In! Now it’s in Spanish. Why?? I didn’t select it! How do I change the language to English if I don’t understand the instructions? What a mess!

Why did you kill the old app. This whole thing is pissing me off. They killed the old app. Now they want me to re login and asking me for a whole bunch of information I dont know. Why do I need to give you my ss and member number/ What happened to just using a password and id. I am irritated and I have stuff to pay and I am locked out of my account again. And due to this virus hysteria the local branch is closed randomly. This is way too difficult. I am going to leave you guys for another bank till you figure your **** out.
