Terrible terrible

this app Qatar is the worst. They don’t deserve not even one star. 2 freaking incident in the same day . The first one the driver was behind my building and i called him and told him i will send the location he stated im in the right location and i cannot find the building which means he is in the wrong street he asked me to come to him i sent the location on whatsapp at because he didn’t have internet i can see there is one tick im telling him put your internet on so you can recieve it he is said its on its on and he hung up. While talking with the agent via chat i asked him to open file so he can see that i sent the location 15 min ago and now he is behind my building for more than 30 min i dont want to recieve the order cold . She said she doesn’t have access to open file . Second incident is hilarious the driver gave my pre paid meal to another person in the same building . While calling him and asking where is the food he said i recieved it i asked him about the aprt number it was wrong he hung up and cancelled all my calls . Again i chatted with the agent they didn’t show no concern nothing just said the concern department will contact you after one hour. So the order is late my prepaid food was given to the wrong person and i have to wait one hour. And the cherry on top they never called .

Worst app . I deleted talabat after this repeated incident I can’t waste more energy. I don’t recommend download local apps are much better

Extremely slow and stupid system

talabat used to be good with fast deliveries. However, the the past year they’ve declined significantly. Every single time i order, my order gets stuck in the “order placed” status instead of moving to the “preparing” status. And it’s always the same excuse when i contact them, which is that they’re still looking for a driver. The dumbest part is, they don’t send the order to the restaurant until they find a free driver. This is stupid!!! It slows everything down!!! It toes forever until they find a driver and then i have to wait for the restaurant to prepare the food only because they didn’t send the order as soon as it was placed! The ideal system would’ve been to send the order immediately to the restaurant and by the time they find a driver, the restaurant would’ve made progress in preparing the food. And when I contacted them about this suggestion, they completely refused it and claimed that it’s to prevent loses with the restaurants. That makes zero sense!!! The driver would’ve eventually been assigned anyway, so there won’t be any loses! Not to mention the constant forced ads on talabat that are plain annoying.

Rebranding FAIL

OTLOB is a pain to begin with. The ONLY edge it had over ELMENUS was some wider choice of places. But otherwise, no customer service to speak of; when your order just doesn’t show up you’re on your own; a sloppy interface; no way to save your go to places.
Enter this app: OTLOB, but much worse. Everytime I search for a place I order from, I get a bunch of duplicates. Suddenly many places no longer deliver. And yet, these places are sill there, menus available, add to cart, checkout, you’re only told after you try to confirm the order! Places are no longer shown closed or busy. Every time I choose a place from search it prompts me to pick my only recorded address.
Honestly, it is JUST GARBAGE. I don’t understand how these glaring errors went unnoticed, especially when some of them were not in OTLOB. They look less like bugs and more like a general attitude of careless negligence. Everyone involved should feel a little ashamed of having created such a sloppy product if they have any professional pride, though it would be hard to imagine that a proud person worked on this.

Worst Customer Service

I was able to make one perchance before they randomly blocked my account. They didn't tell me why, didn't tell if I had a case number. It took me a day of talking to my bank and then visa directly to figure out it was this app preventing my purchase from going through and that my account was blocked. There was no one to talk to, the live chat was real people, but they just wanted to get you off the chat as soon as possible. They say there’s a survey at the end of the chat, but it never loaded. For some reason they couldn't call my cellphone. It would take them 24 hours (or more) to get an email back to. When I did get an email back, it was apologies and very little (or no) information.
I it has been over a week of being band, I’ve “live chated” with about 50 different workers and all I know is I’m band for suspicious activity, a case number, and they are are sorry. I just found out what I was banned for and again, it has been over a week for begging for some information on what’s happening.

Review for Talabat Egypt

I made an order using the exact same address I used to use with the previous app that existed before this app purchased it. I waited 40 minutes before calling the actual restaurant to find out that they never received my order. So I just told the restaurant my order and told them to cancel any order coming from this app in my name. Finally I receive a call from a this app representative telling me that my order was cancelled due to an incomplete address. My address had the city, district, compound name, steet name, villa number, and owners name. So when I asked the representative what was missing, he told me that I didn’t specify whether I lived in a villa or a building (an irrelevant piece of information as the restaurants delivery man knows the compound has no buildings), clearly the representative was just making up an excuse. This was my first order with this app and my last. I received my order from the restaurant 20 mins after I placed it, clearly this app’s system doesn’t work and just overcomplicates / slows things down.

Customer service is terrible

Each time I’ve had a problem, a (generally not-very-cheerful) this app customer service rep has informed me that a “member of the team” would contact me. (I’ve received only one callback in five). The one time I was called back, I was promised ANOTHER call, and then THAT call never came. There is a clear morale problem amongst staff I’ve spoken to. Just try asking them when you can expect to get a callback.

Right now this app is the only show in town, and they know it. Order directly from the restaurant if you can. Otherwise stick to the few restaurants associated with talabat who will behave professionally - and call THEM if you have a problem with an order you’ve placed through talabat . If you get a restaurant that is incapable of solving a problem, it is unlikely (at least in my experience) that this app can/will help you. I’ve thrown two deliveries directly in the trash because they arrived cold, or too late for me to eat.

In the meantime, I suspect I’m not the only Doha resident anxiously waiting for a competitor to enter the home delivery market.

Ok app, terrible costumer service

If there was an award for the worst customer service experience, this app would get it- with no close competition ...

Orders take more than the expected time, technical issues arise from time to time, refunds are ignored, if you manage to talk to a technical representative though the chat using the web interface (bc talabat interface chat doesn't work) they will close the chat as soon as you tell them your issue, they have the same reply to all issues and they close the chat after they throw that reply onto your face.. It's as is the representatives are competing against themselves to which one of them will give the worst experience..

Hope other businesses enter the market because those guys are terrible..

Worst customer service ever

We are in Ramadan and I ordered the first order about 2 hours before Iftar. They cancelled it after 10 minutes and told me that there were no drivers and that the restaurant is using his own drivers, then I placed another order, they canceled the second one after 35 minutes too, I contacted the customer service on the chat was impolite and I asked him many times to let a manager or someone to talk to me. He told me someone will call within 60 minutes and by that time I would have passed the Fotor time. 2 hours passed since he told me that and no one called so I sent them back and again they told me someone will contact me within 60 minutes and 4 hours passed and no one did. Bottom line I think the people behind talabat. will take you lightly even if you are a valuable customer and you use their App always. This would be my last time using talabat. There are many alternatives that would really take care of their customers.

My experience with Talabat Jo is excellent so far.

I knew about this app for more than three years now. But I never used it until the start of this year. Mainly because I like to go out and get my food myself, and/or I used to not trust deliveries unless from selected restaurants.
I have used this app 6 times in the past 6months (4 of them are this month only), and tbh, I have no complaints. All my 6 orders were correct, fresh, hot, and fast to arrive (beside this one time when they forgot my diet Pepsi). The delivery guys were polite and dressed well. They brought me my orders fast and delicious.
At the time of writing this review, I would recommend this app Jordan to anyone. I will be keeping on ordering through this app for the foreseeable future.
5/7 if you know what I mean.

Worst delivery company in jordan

The company has the most impolite and dirty employees I ever seen in jordan, the riders talk to you like you work for them, they mess your orders without a single apology, wear no mask or have it dangling on their chins, and they don’t carry change with them so that you have to bump up your tip. And the company doesn’t do anything about it because they already pay them low salaries, when you talk to the company they just send copy pasted “we’re sorry for the inconvenience” messages. I’m not the only one that had troubles with this app, nearly 2 of every 5 friends I know deleted their app after a couple of experiences. If you value yourself, I highly recommend you to avoid this “service”.

Edit: oh great, I got the copy pasted “sorry, but not going to do anything about it” response from the company

Keep your apology to yourself, this is the second and last time I uninstalled this terrible app, I already gave you two chances

My review for this latest update

Well I started using this app from their beginning since there was like 5 restaurants that it grows great and succeeded well and now I'm writing my opinion about this current latest new layout it's very nice but it looks much better on a PC monitor I guess . Now everything seems to look super small with all that new details gray colored font drop down flash it suits bigger screens much better but on an iPhone even the food picture is small can't see it clearly so I hope you guys bold the font a little so guys with glasses can see better lol thanks a lot

Horrible Service

It wasn’t the first time I have a problem but it will definitely be my last (app deleted). My order was late. I used the “Live Chat” and explained that according to talabat it says my food has already reached but it’s really 1/2 hour late. The reply: “the driver must be nearby and marked it as delivered. Please wait 15 minutes.” I replied that 15 minutes is not nearby but I will wait. 30 minutes later I contact the live chat again. I am placed on hold and finally I’m told he needs 15 minutes. On top of being an hour late already! Needless to say he did not come in 15 minutes. I tried calling I tried the live chat again! Maybe I cannot blame this app for the restaurants short comings but their service to help you track the order is miserable 😩. Uber Eats gives me the drivers number and I can track his car as soon as he leaves the restaurant. Never again this app. Horrible app horrible service!

Careless

this app is just sort of agents between customers and restaurants. You guys never offer support on delayed or never show orders from suppliers. The worst is that KFC always cheats and play around with the system put in place. As everyone know, KFC delivery time is 30 mins upon placing orders. What actually happens is that KFC mark the order as DELIVERED while it still in restaurant just to make sure they close the order within delivery time frame. I reported this upon my first order with KFC and today again 1 June 2020. KFC did the same and you guys “this app” done nothing about it. My order arrived 1:25mins after placing the order. I sent the driver back because he also was not decent enough to answer my phone calls.

I’d rather drive my self to other restaurants better than ordering through this app from filthy restaurant such as KFC being managed by cheaters allowed by your platform

Used to like it

this app go is a disaster, I ordered from a burger restaurant and the delivery time was estimated 45-55 min with tracking, my order arrived after 86 minutes, my wife was already asleep and I went to sleep starving as I refused to receive the order.
Tracking is good and bad in the same time, I noticed that my order took a considerable time to go out of the restaurant, more than the usual to deliver and the driver had another order to deliver before me, and when I told him that the order was late his excuse was that the location on his map was far from my house (you could have called me)
When I called this app their compensation was to deduct the delivery charge. Pathetic.
The funny thing is that the driver refused to leave from the entrance of my house with the food because and I quote “I paid for the food from my money”, so I had to call this app again to ask him to kindly leave.
I got a clarification/apology call later.

No customer service

I placed an order today that I should have gotten in 30 minutes (according to this app’s own calculated time) but it took two hours. The time kept on changing and they were adding minutes (between 10-20) every now and then. The restaurant said this app’s driver took over an hour and a half to get to them. The driver said he was an hour and a half away and this app doesn’t usually take that into consideration. I tried to communicate with this app’s customer service representatives but they apparently have canceled all direct phone lines and the voice message I get is that I need to use the live chat inside talabat . The problem is there is no live chat inside talabat in Jordan.
This was not the first time that an order took too long, but it was the longest.
I do not recommend this app in Jordan at all. Many other more reliable apps out there.

Talabat Egypt is amazing!

After making multiple orders on this app, I can say that the service is absolutely amazing (in Egypt, at least). The 1-star reviews I’ve seen are mainly about bad management in other countries or technical errors that have been fixed. this app arrives extremely fast, I can see exactly the delivery man is, the products are always top-quality, and I’m always receiving free gifts! Many people might overlook this review thinking it’s an automatic bot review, but it’s not. I am very pleased with the service and am extremely satisfied with the quality of items and the friendliness of staff. I would 100% recommend this app to anyone who is in Egypt.

Horrible customer service

Avoid using this app , due to zero customer service support. My credit card was charged wrongly by this app for 12 times for total of over 3000 AED. There is no way to contact and speak directly with a customer service representative. Only way to communicate with them is through horrible chat service which is basically an automated computer. They give standard computer generated replies and tell you they find not issues with any wrong charges. When you ask for someone to call you they claim you will get a call in 5-10 minutes and never actually call you. I plan to report them to the consumer rights and local police for theft. As well file a claim at the bank. I will never use this app again due to this horrible customer service and I plan to share my experience and ensure others avoid them as well.

I understand theres a lockdown and riders are hard to come by, but your app could make things easier for the customers. Simply saying little riders near by is not enough, literally close off the area unless you find someone.

A rider picked up my items but “had” to be home before lockdown even though he had well enough time to drop off the items and be home before then. And instead of him canceling the order or reaching out, he reached out to this app themselves. this app should've canceled the order then (if what he is saying is true) or asked him to reach out to me. An hour goes by before i finally get irritated and try calling him multiple times and then he says he cant deliver and theres another driver out. There is no other driver.

Unfortunately this isnt the first time something like this has happened, and i can only excuse this so many times because of the pandemic and lockdown rulings. Getting this app credit is a fine business move but honestly its pushing me away from talabat .

talabat needs to update itself for the riders specific to every country. If it is an expat driver, they shouldn't be able to take order within 45mins of lockdown.

Talabat GO Drivers

Their driving service is the worst. You get phone calls about your location and address. And if you don’t answer they will cancel your order. But their drivers call even when they are standing outside the door. They won’t ring the doorbell only call- not even knock. I get 5 phone calls from the this app drivers every time they have to deliver and then I always miss a call and never get my food. By far the worst delivery service in the area. A this app go driver called me this last time to ask me to send my address through WhatsApp. I did that. An hour after that he called twice which I missed and then they cancelled my order. But I confirmed with him the building number and flat number when he called. Order should have never been cancelled. this app GO is the worst. If you have to use talabat try using restaurants who don’t use this app go.

Love Talabat but Had a VERY Bad Experience

Am a client of this app, I order frequently although I never created an account.

I ordered from this app go were they mentioned they will deliver within 20 to 30 minute and I have a one hour break so I ordered because of their promise timing.

But unfortunately the food took an hour and fifteen minutes on top of the half an hour which was not convenient at all, I didnt eat, I couldn’t extend my break, the food came cold, and my drink was missing ONE OF ThE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER.

As I called this app call center, the agent apologized and said next time open an accout so if this is repeated we will compensate you (WHAT NEXT TIME) so shes like except my apology and what can I Do more, i told her please follow up and until now she didnt contact me, I sent through this app live chat finally they said you did t reply so sorry to close the chat although they said please wait and I replied I will and they close the chat, I sent a chat again because nothing is done and I havent receive my drink although I have paid via KNET.

summary: good service, poor app, good website, horrible support ad zero quality control. detail: so they used to have an ipad app, now the ipad app doesn't have jordan, and it actually tells you its time to move to iphone. the iphone app is not universal, so it is ugly tiny and deformed on ipad and only works in portrait mode. better off using the website. the 1 star is for talabat and the really really crappy support team. basically they are undepaid, and unhappy and will take it out on customers. even the feedback form in the website is broken and does nothing on submit. Otherwise the service itself is 5 stars but only if you use cash. credit card payment is buggy, and iffy, and inexplicably/illogically charges you before the restaurant confirms the order is possible, also sometimes this app conveniently forget to refund the charge when the restaurant can't follow through. i also had them charge my card and not finish the order and they didn't even bother to call, i had to follow up to fix it for hours. then you have to deal win the aforementioned dismal support team. quality control is non-existant.

The worst food delivery service EVER

Resturant has nothing to be afraid of when you order through this app, they know that if the order is 2 hours late, this app will keep dealing with them because this app only cares about profit, and customers comes last. RESTAURANTS DOSE NOT RESPECT this app
And if it’s not your day, you will contact the customer service, they will ruin the rest of your day and you will lose your appetite, and guess what?? THEY WILL DO NOTHING, just some sentences they copy and paste to you saying that they will contact the Resturant, but at the end your order will reach late, cold and tasteless.

Thee ABSOLUTE WORSE!!!

I am a very displeased customer right. It seems to me that every single time I place an order on this app something goes awfully wrong. The food is either cold because it delivered late thanks to the driver going to the wrong location, something is missing from the order, or the other just all together never shows up. Usually, I don't say a word, because it's far too late and I'm way too tired to try to figure out who to contact about an issue but today is my breaking point. Not only did my order show up late, but it had no napkins and no eating utensils AND MORE HAIR THAN CHICKEN. That is my far the nastiest, most unsanitary, things I've seen around food since I've been in Kuwait. I would like a full refund for this terrible mistake. Taco Eataco should be ashamed of themselves.

If I didn't have to at least leave a 1 star rating this review would've gotten 0 stars.

“TRAGIC DISASTER “

It’s truly so so so sad to see one of Kuwait’s first independent food delivery company go down in history as the WORST and most TERRIBLE application / website ! It has become one of the least recommend & the most problematic and multiple complaints from many valuable customers include me & my family and friends from the time of the delivery to the wrong items to the quality of the food and drivers i had the worst experience with this app and I don’t recommend talabat don’t waste your money on talabat it’s old & none of the complaints are reaching the corporate or the current owner even many restaurants already left talabat go check out carriage it’s much advanced and puts their customers first then their sales and marketing unlike Talabt who adds codes and sales to hide the fact that their service is honestly THE MOST TERRIBLE !

Worst app ever, don’t believe the social media influencers advertising this lol

talabat is a joke! No proper customer support, all of the estimated delivery times are basically lies. I’ve never ordered through talabat without having an issue with late delivery and many times NO delivery at all!! As they will eventually cancel your order on you. I’ve tried talabat now in 3 different countries, same issues!
Customer service chat is useless and they don’t actually help you! They tell you to wait 10 mins and get back to them and they still won’t have any answers regarding where your order is or how they can compensate you. I’ve actually been told on chat to “just cancel it” after a full 1.5 hrs of waiting!

talabat is super unreliable wouldn’t recommend you waste your time, patience or phone memory on it. Big Fail.

Excellent Service.

I do have to say so far so good! It’s an excellent service. But I wish there were more options to search from other than general, such as certain dishes/meal/criteria to choose that will easily filter restaurants for us based on our specific needs. If you can provide such service you win all the way. A problem I am facing currently is that I have to constantly re-enter my account information to pay everytime, because the previously registered one as a first option does not work, please advise.

Very bad customer service

Contacting the customer service is worthless it’s even better to contact the restaurant instead of contacting them. Although, there agents have the orders details the keep asking very stupid questions like the name of the company own the franchise. Why the ....should I know that ??!!
With each order you place through talabat, you need to prepare yourself to get 10 calls from the resturant to confirm the order and than to get the location and than to confirm the location, to guide the delivery boy and so on, all because this app don’t send the details of my address to the restaurant. Seriously, I thought it’s a joke from the restaurant until I saw it with my own eyes more than 3 times from different restaurant. Details of my address are hidden.

They must hire people to rate them highly

I use a lot of the food delivery apps in Dubai - Deliveroo, Uber Eats, Zomato, Careem Now, etc. - and this one is the absolute worst. Save yourself the trouble and download one of the others. Orders have been cancelled despite being accepted 30 mins to 1.5 hours prior due to “unavailability of drivers”, “IT bugs”, and “communication issues with the restaurant” on my last 4 out of 5 orders. Not to mention the service when you call is horrible. The employees don’t seem to care that you’ve been waiting an hour and a half for food that will no longer arrive and offer no form of credit for your troubles. Will not be using talabat in the future. How it currently has 4+ stars on talabat Store is frankly baffling. They must hire people to rate them highly.

Really the worst customer service you’ll ever get

The restaurant I ordered from for some reason arrived to a very far area from where I live I don’t know why they sent him there I don’t even have that area in one of my saved addresses. The driver said he’ll let the restaurant contact me and they never did. I was on the line with this app customer service center for 20 mins without any one picking up the line and when they did she just told me I’ll try to contact the restaurant and call you back. She never did! I tried contacting support via chat and the guy just kept saying I’m not getting any reply from the restaurant and left the chat. Mind you, that I already paid by credit card and no one spoke to me about refund and I never even received the food.
