Very disappointing app. I opened it, played with it for a little while and promptly deleted it. You can't import rosters, add photos, take attendance, snap to grid, on and on.

Almost impossible to use. Whoever designed it has never been a teacher. I don't need cute little ethnic icons to represent my students. I need movable desks/tables in multiple configurations and a place to type the names. This thing is useless.

Very hard to set up. Disappointing to say the least.

SeatCharter is a complete waste of money.

This used to be a pretty decent, functional app. Since I've upgraded to iOS7, there's no way to save a chart. No way to rename it. But, it's almost the end of 2013, and it hasn't been updated since 2012. Don't buy unless updated within the current year.

I will glad increase my stars to five if you could make a few upgrades.
1. I have six classes. Is there anyway to create a "save as" option that would allow me to create my classroom template for one class, save it, then make name modifications for my others?
2. I teach at a school with more African American students than white, with plenty of Spanish students as well. The option of adding their pictures means less to me than simply being able to match an a avatar that better represents them. It helps to ensure some degree of desegregation!
3. I would like to be able to attach the label to the avatar or otherwise group them together, so when I am moving them around, I don't have to move a picture and a name.

Disappointed that I can't rearrange pictures with students or keep in rows. It would help to place desks and SeatCharter would recognize that is where students go. Printing didn't show all the students.

SeatCharter is great! BUT it would be excellent if it would not freeze all of the time. Very annoying, but awesome when it works!

SeatCharter is perfect for what I need. I have 25 classes coming into the computer lab each week. This is a huge help in memorizing 450 students names. I simply saved a blank template of my lab setup and then saved as each new class so all I had to do was add names.

Only problem I have had..it freezes regularly and I have to power down my IPad and restart it. It would also be nice to improve the rearrange option. It just randomly moves names around the screen. It would be great if it rearranged according to where you have saved your labels. Otherwise this is really a useless feature.

This would be a five-star app if I could save a seating chart with another name and then make changes to it. That way, I'd be able to record each monthly seating chart without having to start over from scratch.

Instead of using the preset icons, I upload each student's attendance photo for the chart. Once the chart is done, I email it to myself, post it on the smart board, and the students move their desks based on their picture. It's easy for me to use, and the students like looking for their photo in the seating chart.

There are a few seating chart types of apps out there, but none of them quite hit the mark for me. SeatCharter comes closest to what I need for my classroom. While it has room for improvement, and
doesn't do it all (yet), the developer is very responsive and I feel confident that SeatCharter will prove to be the standard for its class (pun intended!)
Features I'd like to see: swipe/pinch to resize; color customization for shapes; ability to import names from text files or email; a place to make notes on students. Those are for starters, I'm sure I'll come up with more. But focusing on what it does, as well as its potential, I give it my highest rating!
