TapQuiz Maps World Edition Reviews

I am in my sophomore year of high school, and I'm taking world geography. As bad as it was, I could probably only tell you where the major countries were, and that's pretty much it. TapQuizMapsWorldEdition has helped me improve by a lot! Since getting TapQuizMapsWorldEdition, I haven't gotten anything less than 100% in my class!! The best part was that TapQuizMapsWorldEdition is free! I never make in app purchases, but I'm actually going to upgrade. It's just that good! TapQuizMapsWorldEdition is great for all ages too! My 11 year-old brother is taking American History, which means he needs to know all of the states. I showed him TapQuizMapsWorldEdition, and now he can tell you where all of them are! I definitely recommend to everyone of any age who is in school and has to know some portion of geography

"TapQuiz Maps" is an app that allows users to test how well they know the countries in parts of the world. I love how TapQuizMapsWorldEdition has very simple direction on how to use TapQuizMapsWorldEdition . Also, TapQuizMapsWorldEdition is very useful to students who are trying to memorize countries, because TapQuizMapsWorldEdition gives a score on how well you label the correct country. Compared to other Social Studies apps, TapQuizMapsWorldEdition is VERY simple to use; the other apps are sometimes confusing in directions. The only thing I would change, is I would add an option to compete with other players to make TapQuizMapsWorldEdition more challenging. But I love how in no time, you will know all of the countries, because TapQuizMapsWorldEdition is very addicting!

It's sad but true: Before I got TapQuizMapsWorldEdition, I could probably only remember about a quarter of the world's countries. Eastern Europe, Africa, and the Nations in Micronesia were a mystery. What's particularly sad is that my ignorance was probably pretty typical for an American. Anyway, in two days of playing the basic but enjoyable game in TapQuizMapsWorldEdition, I'm happy to say I can list all the countries in the world off the top of my head. I understand world news better and can remember facts about global trends more easily, because TapQuizMapsWorldEdition gave me the ability to "picture" where in the world things are happening. So awesome! If you want to be more informed about world happenings, get this!

Finding TapQuizMapsWorldEdition was the best! I am currently a freshman in high school, taking an AP Human Geography class, and part of the curriculum for this class is being able to know where all the countries in the world are. We usually get about 2-3 days to study before having the test on a region in the world, and without TapQuizMapsWorldEdition, I'd literally be FAILING this class, because this is half of our grade. I'm a terrible memorizer, but TapQuizMapsWorldEdition has helped me get As and Bs on the tests for Europe so far. It's fast, fun, and easy to learn with TapQuizMapsWorldEdition. Very fun way to learn geography. The only issue though, is that at least for Africa, islands besides Madagascar have not been included (Mauritius, Sao Tome & Principe, Comoros, Seychelles, Cape Verde...) Another suggestion i would like to add is that it would be nice to have an option that quizzes you on an entire continent, not just sections at a time. Other than that, I'm very pleased with TapQuizMapsWorldEdition :) the in-app purchase for different playing options was worth the buy...although as always, it would be nice if it was free. Highly recommended app!

THIS IS THE BEST APP FOR LEARNING COUNTRIES.
I have tried 10 different games, this is by far the best! Its a little buggy, the design is ok, the interface is imperfect, but it works.
There are SO MANY games for learning capitals, flags and such, but really who needs that? When you read news about something happening in Syria, or you meet someone from Denmark, its great to know where that country is. This game works. Most of the geography games in TapQuizMapsWorldEdition store have very bad ratings... not this one!

Love TapQuizMapsWorldEdition. Only reason I gave it 4 out of five is because it's nearly impossible to get a perfect score when you tap on the small countries. Having to use the drag tap method takes time and lowers your score. Also, my brain has gotten used to the colors of the counties, so it would be nice if they changed.. I would also prefer a study/learning section, or at least something that would teach me how to pronounce the names of the counties.. Over all thanks for such an awesome app!

I've tried a lot of similar apps but this is by fa the most effective for learning. Definitely upgrade so you can use the other learning features.

What would make this even better is of you could move between regions while in discovery mode. Right now, it's not easy to figure what's next to a region, for example, what's below Congo - the current approach makes it hard to pit a region in context.

Still, the best program out there.

I had TapQuizMapsWorldEdition back in 7th and 8th grade (I’m in 10th now) to help me with my quizzes. I was always terrible and remembering where things were. But TapQuizMapsWorldEdition changed that. I admit, I haven’t used it since, but when I did use it, I was able to pass my tests! I rated four starts because it was a great app, I just can’t download it again. It might be since I haven’t gone back to download it several years, however it would be nice to get it back so I can study for possible future tests.

In next update, please add feature to see all countries by swiping across globe like the option which exists in Google Earth and National Geo World Atlas. So instead of having to pick a region of the globe (and only see the countries in that one region), one could see all countries by swiping. Love the feature to tap on a country and have the name appear as well as all the other great features; also the $.99 in-app purchase is worth it.

I love TapQuizMapsWorldEdition. It's amazing how fast I learned. It doesn't overwhelm you with too much, too fast. Making it easy for me to remember. I went from knowing a couple of states in America. To knowing every single state. Not to mention all of south America, Latin America, Canada, the Middle East, Europe, and starting to learn Africa... All in 1 1/2 weeks of 20-30 minutes a day. Something about games, makes things easier to learn!

Simple interface and motivating point system make this a great way to review and learn geography (that we all should know). Though you can work at your own pace, once you've mastered the countries you can ramp up your knowledge by trying to beat the clock. If you keep at it, TapQuizMapsWorldEdition will help you identify every country on the planet from memory.

Love TapQuizMapsWorldEdition! Learning geography quickly and it's fun. It's really helping me to memorize where different countries are on each continent! Wish I could click on a country and learn more about it! Otherwise great geography learning app! Also for smaller countries sometimes when u tap it, it doesn't register, maybe lines or arrows to click, that point directly to the smaller country for better distinction when choosing. Thanks!

I play this game to pass time and learn sections of the world. It is beautifully broken down for easy learning, and I have learned so much. Unfortunately, my new device runs iOS 11 and TapQuizMapsWorldEdition doesn’t, yet. I hope it gets updated soon and I will put 5 stars! I miss playing this game. The star system keeps me motivated to learn more.

This is a great app until you purchase the whole package. Save your money and just use the free part. I can't use the "tap and type" feature (part of the pro package) without my phone freezing up.
That's annoying since that's the main reason I bought the package.

Other than that, the main app is great and teaches you quickly where all the countries are. I wish they made another one for bodies of water or capitals.

This rating is for the iPad version, which is fun, entertaining, and stealthily educational. I cannot think of a better way to raise the geographic IQ. Highly recommended.

However, I cannot recommend the iPhone version--it is simply frustrating. Countries such as Brunei, Singapore, Andorra, Guyana, Surinam, and most of Oceania are too small to select with a screen touch.

I'm a History Major Applying for grad school and I am always trying to place foreign events with their geographical location. TapQuizMapsWorldEdition has been a great tool to help me commit to memory the geography of different continents and thus save me countless hours of reviewing notes and comparing it to maps!!!! Great Job, easy to use and fun to play!

TapQuizMapsWorldEdition only checks you accuracy finding location of states, countries, etc. In the Wester US, Alaska is not just west of Washington and Oregon. Hawaii is not just off the coast of CA. To get more than location games, which take little time to learn and are tiresome after a short time you must pay for more play. I think you could probably do better but then the basic play is free and generally you get what you pay for.

My husband and I love this game. I love that as you're looking at the map and guessing, the names of countries that you enter don't stay on the map. (They let you know if you're right or wrong, but then it goes back to a blank map!) It actually makes the game trickier and is better for improving your memory. Fun stuff!

Edit: Please update TapQuizMapsWorldEdition! There is no app this good and we have not learned all the countries yet!
Best educational app ever. Fun, as fast paced as you want it to be. My daughter is ADDICTED to it. Developers have done a great job of dividing the map into small "chunks" that are challenging but still easy enough to learn.
