SpeedQuizzing described exactly what I wanted to do. Downloaded it, ran it, it came up with "No WiFi Connected" and that is all it will do, nothing else. And of course WiFi is already on and connected. Big disappointment.
Some things just shouldn’t be done via an app on your phone. Our local bar switched from Tommy, an older guy who loved putting on trivia night with written answers; to this random lady with a dumb confusing app that doesn’t work very well and is HORRIBLY explained.
Do not recommend, if you go to play trivia and SpeedQuizzing is what they are using, save yourself a 1.5 hours and leave the bar. If you are a bar/restaurant owner, don’t sign up for this. Stick with the tried and true method of running a trivia game via paper.
The user experience in SpeedQuizzing is horrible. I love the idea of SpeedQuizzing but it’s not intuitive at all and EXTREMELY glitchy. Please make improvements!
SpeedQuizzing starts and indicates that no WiFi is detected, despite the fact that the phone is connected to a WiFi and the this app program is running on my Mac, and both devices share the same network connection. Since there are no options to configure SpeedQuizzing the application right now is pretty useless. Please update.
I got a new phone - The Iphone 14 Pro Max. SpeedQuizzing does not give me the “connect to local network” option. Therefore, I now cant use SpeedQuizzing . Anyone have any fixes?
What a dumb way of conducting trivia. App was laggy and it was hard to see things like ranking or anything in time before the next question. Awful experience.
The guy using SpeedQuizzing for sending questions allowed some groups to cheat by using google but others aren’t allowed, though I guess being friends with the guy running the game gives you a better chance at winning.
Lacks a lot of basic explanation that would help a lot. Zero alert as to when questions are coming and inconsistent timing. Maybe this is due to the operator? Either way pretty poor experience
The latest updates make it so you can’t see your score throughout the game. Tbh I just want that feature back. I’m not sure why it’s gone in the first place.
Signup of teams at the beginning isn’t very intuitive for new users.
App works well during trivia.
Wish team names could include emoji or special characters...

I’ve been using SpeedQuizzing for over 10 years and the improvements they have made from the third version to the current version our night and day.
You can have your team put a profile photo that shows on the screen when you get a bonus and there are different modes available that are unimaginable at most trivia events.

this app is the best quizzing app available and it’s the best pub trivia around!
I’ve hosted with SpeedQuizzing numerous times. Great that all the questions and pictures go right to the players phone and there is no need for other displays. Tech support is always available and helpful. My only gripe is that the sounds the teams pick are clearly knockoffs and not original audio clips. Hosted last night and folks had a great time.
After 10 years of playing pen and paper bar quiz games we switched to this during covid and will never go back.

Of course, you need to be connected to a this app WiFi network to run SpeedQuizzing . Not sure if those that have indicated it doesn’t work understand that. It works great when you are at a venue where this app is being played. I like the new features. Makes it easier to enter names and pick buzzer songs.
