Rubbish!

Absolutely rubbish - App crashes on a brand new iPhone every now and again but when it works its good. Some UI tweaks needed however for a customer who is a smart pass member and spends £200-£250 on average a month for past few years I finally pulled the plug and shopping elsewhere heres why...

- week in week out they keep missing items
- even if you place an order 7+ days in advance it prompts you with out of stock items warning which sometimes could be anywhere between 4-12 items that you need to find elsewhere
- most weeks we have at least 1 or 2 substituted items because out of stock
- recently its been getting more missing items not sure why....
- today (November 6th) we had 24 missing items! over half of our ordered items and customer service team apologised but offered no help meaning wasted time not working and waiting at home to receive a handful of items but they missed all the essentials that makes shopping with them a headache!
- Sometimes this app offers are useless for example 5 for £5 or £1.5 each whereas other supermarkets price their items £1 each regardless if you buy 1 or 6 items making flexibility greater at other shops.

When the likes of other supermarket giants offer same branded products cheaper and cheaper flexible deliveries (with no missing items) one may wonder “why am I using this app?”. I stuck with you this app but did not like how you treat your loyal customers.

Using push notifications for marketing / ads

I love this app’s delivery service but they have begun abusing push notifications by sending unwanted marketing / advertisements to me. As there is no option to opt-out of these, as required by the Apple App Store guidelines, I have had to turn off notifications for Ocado entirely, which means I will be less prepared to receive my groceries when they arrive. I emailed them about this, to which they confirmed I have to turn off notifications entirely but advised that I can use SMS to be notified. However, the phone / email addressed on our account belongs to my partner so this is not helpful.

Great app, horrible customer service

I’d still use them when I have the luxury of time to order, however they have horrible customer service and do not deliver same day delivery! Other than having horrible customer service

App is disabled

I understand that Covid threw everything off but to have Ocado still disabled 6 months into the pandemic is hardly an excuse. Use Waitrose app.

Missing offers

You will NOT get last minute deals or Flash Sales if you use Ocado , only direct online. Forget Ocado and go directly to them.

They cancel orders

Last minute without giving any option to amend or reschedule. Really inconvenient if you're relying on the delivery.

Has not worked for 6months.

Laughable for an online only supermarket. Over the last 3 months, have given “a small number of customers”, leaving the rest of us customers who actually pay a subscription fee, to have a poor experience. Poor communication as well, only communicating via a copy/paste response that is meaningless. Why can’t they figure it out, if this is meant to be their core area of expertise? So here is my copy/ paste response : Let's all agree to give @this app App a 1-start rating in either the Apple App Store or Google Play store... why? Simple - it's available to download, but does not work, has not worked for months (for all). How's that for a copy/paste response to respond to everything with?

Get the basics right, folks

Lowering my rating.
Come on- delivery is at the heart of your product. Don’t tell me you are on time when you are quite late. No tracking, no real updates. Get the basics right folks. Tesco (right…really) is 2 stars above you

Best delivery ever!!!

I love this app because they have amazing choices and it is so affordable. The food always comes fresh and never damaged. this app is my go-to. 10/10

Excellent App

Easy to use and efficient
