In Google Earth. Trying to open My Places on new computer. The My Places column is empty. I cannot access any of the files that I had created on my old computer (Windows 7). Computer shop suggested that I download the backup drive to this new computer (windows 10), no luck. Tried transferring KMZ and KML files directly. It worked but I have several thousand files to transfer and I am not sure they are all on the backup drive or if that is even the correct process. These files were accessible immediately when I opened Google Earth on my last computer when it was new and I was transitioning from the old one. How do I access my old MyPlaces files?

I bought Earth on Microsoft and it says no connection so doesn't work.

Trying to do a search, just not working at all !!!
Common dislikes about Google Earth app
- Countries like China, Russia, and North Korea are not 3d
- Maps don't update
- Image quality and resolution is poor
- Can't adjust any type of visual settings
- Impossible to tell one country/state from the next with the impossibly thin tan line separating everything
