Why would you require two factor authentication for an app like this? I understand you want to know the person contributing to your data is real and not a bot farming impressions to make a liberal product appear more conservative and vice versa. But you need to make a version of Veebs that just requires an email address and restricts that account’s ability to update certain brand’s status. Two factor authentication for a free app screams data farm… especially when primarily touted by conservative circles

Thank you for Veebs! Can you please make like a rotten tomatoes and rate movies on a Wokeness scale. Seriously, last year I wasted $50 at the movies because I thought maybe Candy Man wouldn’t be that bad… no! Had to walk out 30 minutes in! Would be much appreciated!

I’m a conservative mama bear, and I’ve been looking for something like this for a few years now. All I can say is bless you this app, and to all the companies shoving their ideas on me and my family— Bye. Vote with your dollar.

I don’t feel comfortable using my phone number

This is starting to get a following by us progressives. We use Veebs to buy from the most progressive and woke companies. Thank you for making this easy.

Great app. Great idea. User friendly. Kudos for empowering users to support those companies who espouse similar values. this app in an outstanding tool for those who prey on the uninformed.

Hoping it will help me keep from buying anything that supports trump and the white nationalist campaign to destroy this country

Cant use Veebs without an account and registration won't accept the number even though I get the text. Why would Veebs want your info anyways? It's a honeypot. Don't give them your info. Just a poor attempt to get more money out of your pockets and gathering your personal data. Avoid.

I tried the “free” version and it was worthless! Unless you’re willing to pay you won’t receive any recommendations or alternatives to the woke companies products. What’s the point in offering as free when it’s unusable?

Love the idea of Veebs but the fact that you have to give them your information before you can even try. It makes it seem very suspicious.

What a cool concept, and it’s easy to use. Impressive database of stores and products, too.

No scores are visible unless you pay. Half the products I scanned were non existent and it asked me to add the information. Im not going to pay someone and then do work for them to build their database to sell later. Ill pass.

Sadly it’s all set up to harvest emails and phone numbers and force you to pay to use it. I might have tolerated a pay to use but there is no good reason to give up my email and phone number too.

Veebs is awesome. Easy to use and very informative.

Deleted this instantly as soon as I was signing up. A conservative app like this should be the last place that allows you to choose something other than male or female. Shame on you.

Veebs won't let me drag and drop the options I want to set for Veebs .

I tried entering my cell # that I have used for 15+ years and it said invalid. So I can’t use Veebs.

I like the idea behind Veebs.
But, I live in North East Ohio and 2 important grocery store chains are missing from the Store list: ALDI and Marc’s. I shop at those two places a lot. Both stores have a big enough footprint that they should be on the Store list.
Also you can’t try all the features unless you start paying right away.

Nice idea, but can’t use it without an account. Should have a guest function.

Unable to drag a value pack over preventing me from using Veebs . I can’t progress until I select one. Drag and drop operation not working. Don’t bother with it. Closed out and restarted phone.

Can’t select values on iPhone 14 pro max. I want to use this but drag and drop doesn’t work and there is no method to move past this poorly designed screen.

Absolutely love what you are trying to do. I hope this takes off. Veebs has a very outdated design and it’s not intuitive to use. Little ridiculous that you have to pay to use Veebs . You give them your phone number and email, and then can’t use anything in Veebs . At least offer a free trial so we know what we are getting into. It would be nice to have an option to not support companies. Like the top review says, I would like to support conservative companies but I downloaded Veebs so I wouldn’t support climate activists or the alphabet mafia. Please don’t stop! Add more brands and keep doing good.

I love the idea and I would gladly pay for Veebs if I could be invisable to tracking and not have my personal information associated to conservative or liberal buying decisions. Maybe Veebs could have earned a place on my phone had it allowed me to use it first before asking for my personal info. The easy answer for apps like this in todays world is to say no to giving away your private info. Hopefully in the future we can anonymously test Veebs first and then have the option to pay for it .

It's a great idea for an app. I've wanted to build something like this for a long time. But I'm not giving my phone number and email address associated with my personal views, which means I can't use Veebs . As we've seen with Facebook and others, privacy policies don't mean much, especially not from a new developer. I'd buy Veebs for $5-$10 if it was supported. Not interested in my data being sold or stored on some server somewhere for later use, and I don't trust the privacy policy that it won't be.

Veebs is a great idea, but with just a little research you can find the same info by yourself.
However… as soon as I started Veebs , it asked me to create an account and asked for my email AND phone number. Why is that?
I can only come up with one answer: this developer is in the business of making money by selling users info. It plays on people feelings and offers a product of dubious value in exchange for personal info.
I uninstalled Veebs immediately!

Subscription plans for a service that can be monetized in several other ways that would appear to be free for the consumer? Nope. Instead? Let’s charge a subscription fee. Someone stop me if you’ve seen this model fail before and you don’t need this pointed out! Veebs also hides behind vagueness in its rating scales. At some point, a solid service like this will be free to use for consumers, and it will link SPECIFIC work agenda stories/facts, summarize the companies record on a myriad of issues, and provide the positives and negatives that are associated with the company and products.

LOVE THIS IDEA buuuuuut I’m not willing to give up BOTH my phone number & email. I have less issue with giving up my email, but with companies like FaceBook “sharing” info I’m just not comfortable giving that, mainly my phone number, to a company. Especially since I live in a state that doesn’t align with my values.
Maybe make a payment option for those who don’t like to share our number with sites. We pay $2 through the apple app to skip it.

I’ll try this again bc my review and rating keeps getting deleted. Veebs is a lie. The premise is great and it had potential. But and this is a big one, it claims to be free with in app purchases. There is NOTHING free about Veebs. You get no scores, no information of any kind on the free version essentially it is a barcode scanner that gives you the product name, that’s it. If you want Veebs to act according to its description you have to pay monthly. IMO all this is is a scam to get email addresses and phone numbers for data collection and associate your information with your political leanings. “Buyer” beware!

If the creators of Veebs want to capitalize/get more money they really need to put a free 7-14 day trial version to help customers decide if Veebs is good for them or not. I was ready to get a subscription but seeing how i cant see what Veebs does…..how can the creators expect me to throw money at the screen?

If you’re not paying for a product….you ARE the product. I’m happy to pay 3c a day for the ability to have this information. It’s killer that you’re supporting a multiplicity of perspectives

I understand you have to make money, but the amount locked behind the pay wall is kind of ridiculous, I love the concept of Veebs but it’s invalidated by the fact that the main point of Veebs (seeing if a brand is following your values) requires paying.

It’s a great idea!! Glad to his now exists, this would definitely get a 5⭐️ if you could scan other things than just food and groceries. Is there a chance that possible you will be able to add like shoe brands, clothing brands, car brands and other things as well in the future??

It’s a cool idea, but very few of the items I scanned were in the database. It’s got the major brands but most of us already know what kind of values of the largest corporations. I’ll sign up again when there is more of a database available.

I installed Veebs twice Hopi g to fix this issue. When I am answering the forced personal questions and it says to drag drop my values when I try to drag/drop any of them it scrolls up and down the list rather than letting me grab one to drag/drop. Please fix this. I am Willing to go through your annoying intrusive account setup process however I’d like to use Veebs in exchange for it!

Veebs could be so much better if you didn’t have to put in email or phone numbers, we all know what’s coming once that happens. Spam from hello and telemarketing calls all day and night.!!! Show me a app that doesn’t need your personal information and i will show you a blank page.!!

Veebs has an interesting concept, and we all buy products based on our values and relationships to the producer. However, the way Veebs turns this into a partisan and identity-based feature is in some ways dangerous and further dividing America. They feature “Values” catering towards both Liberal and Conservative consumers, which to me seems like feeding into and profiting off of the growing political polarization of U.S. demographics. Instead of displaying if a company is woke” or not, they should probably focus on things that actually matter about the food like; quality, non-gmo / gmo, vegan / keto, worker conditions, production location, etc (then Veebs would be more likely to gain traction). Millions of people face hunger every day, boycotting products over the owner’s political or philanthropic stances makes me genuinely concerned for the future of humanity. And, on top of this, Veebs ’s UI and software is clunky and needs to get some reworks.

So I heard it was a good app to highlight how a company invests the money you are giving them by buying their product. Sounded interesting. However, you can't even access Veebs without giving a valid mobile number AND valid email. No way. No app needs both unless they are also selling my info on the side. Maybe if they change their policies, I'll re-download and actually be able to give it a try, but with no free trial and no ability to even see what Veebs has without signing away all your info, forget it.

I downloaded their app just a few minutes ago filled out all information requested. After filling out all information requested first time kicked out or dropped never got confirming txt(both email and phone number works I use them everyday). Tried two more times same thing. Deleted app. Went to their website to resolve the problem was not able to. Got noticed that I have to reload page not once but twice then turned phone off and started over same thing. What’s up with that?

Just installed Veebs and completed setting up my profile. Once all the pins were completed I looked at my profile, no way to go back other than exiting Veebs .
App needs more testing but I like the concept!

I am bummed the developers went this route. I don’t want to give my data up to be sold to marketers or main stream GOP RINO PACs. I certainly don’t want to pay a monthly fee for the privilege of having my data sold. Make it free and charge for extras and do not sell the data, who knows who they will sell it to for the right price.

Ok i get the email. But this is a SHOPPING app. Why can’t I use it anonymously? You gona call me to check my shopping experience? Go ask a stranger for their phone number and see how that works out. Could use a burner email and I would do that. Im still a real person if i use a burner. I just want my privacy protected. Especially if I’m rating products based along political lines. And you wonder why your growth is bush league. I can’t even see what I’m getting myself into.

Veebs is a great idea and something I wouldn’t mind paying for. But I’m definitely not giving out my personal info especially on something like this that’ll identify me as having certain beliefs. I’m not accusing Veebs builders of anything nefarious but if the government wants to compile a database of citizens and their wrong think this will do all the work for them and if the government wants that list they’ll just simply take it. So thanks for what y’all are doing but it’s a huge NO THANKS for me. I hope this isn’t some type of honeypot by the very trustworthy and honest intelligence agencies are using to gain a list of their next political targets once all the J6ers are freed and “convictions” are overturned.

I would like to see an option to pay for 12/24 months vs. monthly. Even if it’s the same price. Don’t like monthly subscriptions in today’s world. Consider this for your next update? Thanks!
