Hypic - Photo Editor & AI Art Reviews

Downloaded this today for the first time and was excited to try out the features advertised, but the only ones available are basic editing tools such as brightness adjustment and filters. There aren’t any AI, background removal, or makeup effects available. A feature that changes facial expressions in photos is even advertised on the home page of Hypic yet when I click on “try now” it leads me to choosing a photo and then nothing, there is no option to use the feature - it just doesn’t appear anywhere along with a ton of other features Hypic claims to have.

Are these features available for only some people while others don’t have access to them or something? That’s the only reason I can think of for all the positive reviews, or they’re from bots. There are reviews explaining this same issue going back months yet it still hasn’t been fixed. I would have loved to try out Hypic properly by exploring all the features that are currently being advertised but so many of them are simply not there.

Every month, for most of the month my VIP features (retouch, templates, effects, etc.) are no where to be found even after signing out and back in, removing Hypic & redownloading, signing in, checking that version is up to date, hundreds of pictures erased for storage purposes, cache cleared, shutting off and turning on phone, closing it and opening it. I’ve reached out at least once a month to resolve and most of the time my features are available shortly after but I never received a response. In July, alone, I have reached out 4 times with not even a single response and no compensation for my troubles. It’s really unfortunate that their customer service is less than mediocre because this app is by far my favorite photo editor.

Hypic has such great potential to be amazing, if the developers can just quit adding unnecessary features (Faded Film?). For the past 10 days all of the AI features have been missing. Hypic is just so annoyingly unstable. It’s like a crapshoot if the AI features and others will appear. Which stinks if you have to get something done. And yes, I paid for Hypic .

Their customer service… WHAT customer service?? I messaged them on Instagram days ago and haven’t gotten a response. I have attempted to delete the cache and even deleted Hypic . Nothing works. If I were you I would steer clear of Hypic unless you like your app to vary in experiences.

Hypic has some amazing features you can only find in multiple different apps, but this app has it all in one along with some great AI. But unfortunately Hypic has some serious bugs especially it’s most popular features disappearing depending on your luck opening Hypic . Which is very frustrating for users. I’ve personally DM’d them and thoroughly explained the issues, but they refuse to fix them and claim it’s a geographical error despite multiple other reviews stating the same problem.

To solve features disappearing soft restart your phone and quickly open and close Hypic until you see the “templates” feature in the bottom left.

This is an awesome alternative to adobe Lightroom but of course it does not have as many features but for a starting point it is perfect. There is one thing that I hate about it though you can not operate that app in landscape mode. You have to use it in vertical. this app please fix this!!!!!! It is impossible to switch into landscape!!!! I work on a iPad and this makes it impossible to do anything with a keyboard!!!!! Please fix this Thank you.

Hypic is really good for editing and stuff, but i mostly use the makeup and face stuff to make my friends look silly. Whenever I open Hypic for a second time portrait options never show up. There is supposed to be a little column at the bottom that says portrait and it never shows up. It has such good filters and fonts but with this glitch, I might as well delete Hypic .

I love Hypic but there are so many times that not all the features appear on Hypic . The “templates” and “ai filters” are not always available. It’s disappointing because I pay for the VIP features but those features aren’t always available. You have to close Hypic and retry later and hopefully they’re there. Other than that, it’s a really solid app with great features. Makes editing pics for your socials super easy and unique!

Hi, I absolutely love Hypic. I use it everyday to edit the pictures I need and it was working great for months until today. When I went on Hypic today I realized it took away my portrait option and that’s the option I use the most. I’ve deleted and re downloaded Hypic 5 times and it’s still not there. I’d really appreciate it if you can put it back. Thank you.

Great app and it does pair really well with CapCut when needing to edit a photo. However, the additional features show up randomly when accessing Hypic in my experience. The majority of time using Hypic , most of the features are missing. I’ve done the usual tech steps, such as restarting, clearing cache, etc. and it still happens randomly. I’ve messaged them before, and never got a reply for this, and I actually had the paid version of Hypic . Due to the features not appearing a majority of the time, I cannot recommend a subscription and give it 3 stars.

Hypic is truly remarkable in its capabilities. I have a small suggestion that, if implemented, would greatly enhance its value. It would be fantastic if Hypic could incorporate the functionality of the Files app and share extensions. Personally, I find myself using the Files app for about 90% of my photo editing, rather than the camera roll. Therefore, if it were possible to import photos from the Files app and perform batch editing directly from there, I would gladly rate Hypic a perfect five stars without any hesitation. Thank you for considering this feature.

Hypic lets you edit with such good makeup options it’s not even funny Hypic is great but you can only do pictures but you can cut out certain things and add them to pictures like for example if you screenshot a Starbucks pink drink and have a picture of a roblox character you can cut out the drink and put it in the character’s hand this is an amazing app so please get it and if you like this CapCut has the same stuff and works on videos ps there the same company get it it’s the best so easy to make roblox skits now!

I use it for allll my pictures I post ! I absolutely love it . Only suggestion I have is I wish it had a touch up feature so I don’t have to do my edits on here , save it to my phone then go to CapCut , upload the picture on there , do touch ups & then save it to my phone & then delete the other one from my phone & that there was a background blur that doesn’t blur the actual object at all . I make the background blur that’s provided on Hypic work , by tweaking the controls on the filter but it still kind of blurs me as well & the background blur isn’t what I’d find on other apps ( the type of blur that I prefer ) but other than those two suggestions & opinions. Hypic is great ! Definitely get it , especially if you already have CapCut .

Look Hypic is great, I use this all the time for my media and just for fun my only complaint is when you want to use templates, it doesn’t always appear when you open Hypic , the template option will just disappear. I try closing the tab and hoping it’s there again, at this point it’s a bit disappointing but the features are really good, please fix this. Sincerely, someone that wants Hypic fixed 🙂

This is a great app overall, the only flaws are that you have to pay for the pro features, an (I don't know if this is only me) my ai filter takes forever to load, and sometimes never does. Other than that great features, like makeup and reshape and edit your facial features. And I you want to do your own makeipvthe hav a brush for that! Backgrounds are amazing, love the text an effects! 4 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐!

I like Hypic. I was looking for a good photo app & came across Hypic in capcut. Perfect timing because I was editing a photo when I was led to Hypic. It does a lot of things I need it to do. It doesn’t have all the features needed but the features will have you editing pics for social media or if you’re a content creator Hypic is for you.

It’s an interesting app. I’m beginning to think that the anime characters it makes based on you, aren’t really based on you. Other than that it pretty decent. I suggest Hypic if you want to add funny effects that probably no one will believe.

Hypic is good. Oh wait, Scratch that. Hypic is Amazing!!! It’s great for editing photos and is a lot of fun. My only problem is that when I try the ai filters it won’t work on my face no matter how hard I try, which is kinda bizarre, because it doesn’t work on a human face but is does on a Roblox character. Other then that, great app. I do recommend. Bye! (Sorry it’s kinda short)

It's very simple to use it looks pretty basic but there's all kinds of hidden gyms and a lot of different variations to use those tools. I've tested the theory on one particular photo and made probably 12 variations of the same thing that visually stand out as different without putting too much thought into it and I'm sure I could double it if I really got creative. The idea of it being simple yet helpful and useful gives me the ability to give a five star rating and a recommendation for anybody that does extra tidbits on their photos before posting

So easy to use, extremely simple and high quality. I started using Hypic around a month ago, and it has never let me down. So many options to use for free and very little of it is paid. Only complaint, I do wish that Hypic would enhance the eraser quality just a little tiny bit more. Other wise, SO worth it.

Great editing app advanced features I would recommend especially for using CapCut it works seemingly and you can even do most of your edits with the free version which is hard to find nowadays anyone on a budget and still wants quality editing software this is Hypic for you. I absolutely love Hypic, there is a premium plan, but 99% of the things you can do are free. It has some great features, and I use Hypic all the time. I’ve been looking for a app, that actually has good stuff without the premium for years. And this is the only app that actually allows you to do everything, without the premium. Highly recommend.

Hypic is so fun to use when you’re trying to make a bit of AI or when you’re editing a photo to get rid of things just for the fun of it. It’s very fun to use and useful when you need to get rid of things when you make a mistake on a picture i’ve always liked using it just for the fun of it. It’s very basic so you don’t need to like work hard to find things and one of the best part is, you don’t have ad barging in your face all the time and you don’t have to pay for any of it, so it’s very fun to use and easy like I said I know what I’m saying doesn’t really make sense but just try it out for yourself and then you’ll be pretty speechless because Hypic is so undescribable awesome!

Ok Hypic is everything! You can make collages and edit pics and more. I mainly make collages but I love making them my background! They look so good and can be in many different shapes. I use Hypic at least twice every day. It is also so good at editing your photos and not making it obvious. Totally giving this 5 stars🤩

Features are really good photo editing software, I’ve used many others, including Snapseed, which is my favorite before this one. There are a few paid features however, you don’t need them to still get a good experience with Hypic . I can see how it would make it easier, but I appreciate that I don’t feel pressured to pay for things to make this usable.

It is a little tricky to get used to, but when you do get used to it, you’ll almost never close it, guaranteed. It allows you to edit photos in various ways, so that’s pretty cool. You can also make collages as well, if you’re interested in that.

I like this app because it’s really easy to edit photos and it’s not complicated to edit. You just click import, access all photos, pick the photo you want to edit, then you can do whatever you want! It’s really easy! Also, all of your projects will be in a tab so if you want to edit more and get another photo, there you go! I love Hypic and the best part that it goes with a pack with CapCut! So, I would advise you to download Hypic and get to editing photos!

I love the free version alone! It offers already a lot of options without having a charge, although paying for the more is tempting!
Super convenient being able to do a batch edit and copy and paste the edits onto all the pictures and adjust individual ones from the set. I do wish I could add more photos in the batch edits because I can never remember all the tiny touches I do per set to redo them on another set of 9 pictures. Overall still great app!

Hectic is an awesome trust worthy editing app, but there is one downfall to this hectic is a good app for editing photos but my only downfall is you can’t edit videos so the person who made Hypic please consider my idea please make it so we can edit videos to but otherwise Hypic is great. You can do a lot with that and you can do pretty funny stuff with it too if you’re just trying to get one color that you don’t know how to get if you have like one of the rainbow you can just use the ray shape and then you got swell and you just put it into one. It’s easy to use too!

this app works well for what it’s meant for, I mainly use it for thumbnail editing but everywhere else works fine too. The ai effects and filters are pretty cool, but the ai cutout features need polishing and improving.

For and editor that’s free I’ve been able to to so much with this application. Editing is actually honestly easier even with some of the features being just tap, adjust and apply it’s very intuitive for the fact that it’s free.

this app is such a great photo effects, adjustments, filters… super simple to use yet a powerful editor for my use case. Looking forward to many years of utilizing this app for my image touch ups or edits. Only two things could make this app better for me - VIP offered a one time cost/price rather than subscription only (subscription burn out it real…) and for a frames section within this app. Other than those two aspects, which are my personal opinion/hope for Hypic . I do highly recommend and suggest downloading and giving it a shot, it is a freaking awesome app overall!

this app is my first editing app it’s so good and easy to use for beginners! It has the best filters and the new template feature I love it!
However there are not enough stickers and even if there are the way they lined it up doesn’t make it comfortable
They should maybe make a search bar for the stickers

I really enjoy Hypic and I can make lots of photos but can we have like a photo clearer like for if it’s a bit blurry or dark you can make it better with AI then re-edit if you want. It’s a really great app because you can really enhance photos, and give them cool effects. It would also be cool to be able to add like fog to photos. Overall a really great photo editor for experienced editors and beginners!

this app is a really good photo editor! I use it all the time, whether it’s for making memes, playing around with goofy images, editing yourself, ect! My personal favorite filter is Berlin, it’s so pretty! There’s even a filter to make yourself look Tim Burton (I love Tim Burton movies they are my fav!)! You can upload images and they turn into stickers you can use whenever, there’s even a Ai cutout when you make stickers, so you can create PNGs! I love this app and it’s very underrated. Only thing I would want added was a photo/png gallery so we can find images instead of uploading our own.

Literally so many options in one app, dramatically changes pictures so you can get whatever aesthetic you want. Also has a decent eraser/removal tool to get rid of unwanted distractions in your photos. Highly recommend Hypic to everyone looking for a free photo editor that has it all.
