Exact same thing happened when I also tried to collect my $15 reward. I followed every step exactly, funded the account and EVERYTHING!.. tried it over a dozen times, STILL got nothing. Seems like a straight up false advertising scam, to be honest!!

See above review… the exact same thing happened to me.

I did a Coinbase activity to earn Vara. I sent Vara to this app and staked 150 tokens. I think I got them unstaked but they remain locked after a few weeks. The stake, unstake, and unlock processes are impossible for me to find without Googling outside sources. Even then it is all unclear. It isn’t a lot of money but it’s the principle. It’s like giving me the key to a car with a hidden ignition. If I can’t get it figured out soon, I’ll just cut my small loss and uninstall SubWallet . If crypto is ever going to be the norm (and I don’t think it will for reasons exactly like this) it can’t be rocket science for the average user.

It sure is easy to send crypto to this wallet and stake it, but don’t hold your breath trying to access your money ever again.

Trying to unstake to send out, and I keep getting “undefined error, contact support”. No, support needs to contact me about your broken app, not the other way around, if your app doesn’t let us unstake and send our crypto when we choose, then SubWallet nothing but a scam.

Followed the “earn steps” in Coinbase for SubWallet. They have you transfer the funds you made previously, then ask you to ‘mint an nft’ only that page won’t load or transfer. Making you lose the amount you transferred to their app. It’s a shame on both Vara and Coinbase. I expected more out of both companies. Do not use this platform. Find an honest alternative.

I can never figure out how to do anything on SubWallet. Been trying to figure out how to unlock a token and for the life of me I can’t figure it out. I know ultimately I can google it but the fact that I have to do that is why I am leaving this review. A good UI should be at least somewhat intuitive, even if complex. Frustrating. As soon as I can figure out how to unlock it I will transfer and probably not use it again 😒

I did the initial steps to claim the $3 and it was fine. I did the followed the steps on the second instructions to claim $5 i transferred $5 worth of vara. When I received the money in sub wallet it kept giving me error codes on gas fee. No instructions on why on Coinbase it states “15 vara is required” 40 vara and it will not let me continue in to making an nft. DO NOT RECOMMEND ON USING TO GET REWARDS FROM COIN BASE.

Did the Coinbase Vara missions, which led to staking on SubWallet. Went to unstake them, waited the 7 days, updated SubWallet multiple times, and still haven’t been able to retrieve my Vara. Tried contacting customer service (SubWallet doesn’t allow for this feature). Emailed the contact that was listed online - undeliverable message.

Not happy. They need customer service and should not release another update without this available.

Spent over and hour on a 5 min mint of and NFT and didn’t get reward if thats not gonna work why would I bring more assists on this wallet thanks for wasting my time

You would think if Coinbase was pushing someone else product it would work. Having to in put seed phrase every time to access SubWallet instead of the password is getting old.

Even after following the instructions on Coinbase step-by-step to earn the VARA from using SubWallet, you will not receive it. It’s been a day now and still nothing. Don’t bother.

Some part of SubWallet doesn’t recognize my device. Even with two step authentication turned on and setup with passkey/face ID, SubWallet doesn’t remember my account. And when I choose to import wallet by passphrase the button link is broken and redirects me to setup a new wallet and password. Please fix it makes sub wallet useless.

My initiation was through a coinbase wallet quest. I was able to create my this app acct with password and seed phrase. I was able to mint an nft. However, while switching between CB wallet and this app, the this app resets to the main account creation page!!! My options are create account (no!), import account (???), or attach account. I don’t understand why the wallet I created just randomly deleted. There is no was to log in with my password. Why would i have to re-import my wallet using my seedphrase. I never deleted the wallet address. So do i just have to keep creating new passwords AND type in my seedphrase and create a new password every time SubWallet opens? This is insane. Help!

Cannot find anywhere to mint an NFT.

Coinbase says I need to hit start then mint nft. I don’t get that option just goes to App Store when I hit start. How do I mint a nft

There is nothing that pop up the let you mint a nft, they get people to download this wallet for nothing

Total Garbage. If you enjoy spending countless hours searching thru an app to figure out how to accomplish something that should be simple and easy to find out about. Then SubWallet is for you . Not to mention when you break down and contact support to resolve your issue . You get an email explaining they can’t help , but watch the attached video to learn how. You click on video and it’s just a 5 second clip with no volume. Apps like this are generally like this for a reason.
The less we know and can find out the more they can take advantage .

I sent 10.0292 Nodl tokens from Nodl cash app to my polka dot wallet and my correct balance isn’t showing. Please help me guys!

I tried what some say in here but when I tap on start the second time it keeps sending me to SubWallet Store.

I can’t earn my $15 in Coinbase because SubWallet won’t accept my password I just set up and nowhere did it say to mint nft.

Done almost everything except the last part on to “mint an nft” no instructions on how to do it and you don’t get the last part of task on minting an nft.

I tried the Coinbase learning thing as well. No problem moving the funds to this wallet. But TRIED to complete the reward process and it keeps bringing me to SubWallet Store rather than opening the wallet to mint an NFT. Looks like the reward process stops just before minting an NFT… worries me about what other bugs may lie deep.

Who in gods name thought this was a good idea to make available for public use 😂 and why did Coinbase recommend these chumps

Did all the instructions with Coinbase. Can’t mint nft with SubWallet , horrible interface with SubWallet . Definitely needs major improvements.

I downloaded SubWallet and transferred my
VARA tokens from Coinbase. Coinbase shows completed successfully but tokens do not show up in this app. Verified the correct receiving address was used. There is no tech support available. You have to join their social network communities. Don't know how they can handle account transaction issues over social networks.
Also, Coinbase offered $15 to download SubWallet, transfer some VARA and mint an NFT.
There are no instructions or menu options to tell how to mint the NFT.

So what do i do??

I’ve used over 20 wallets, and this is by far the worst! It's cumbersome, even for the most experienced user. It's not user-friendly or intuitive at all. There are tons of glitches as well.
Good luck trying to send. There's always a glitch whenever I press send to put in the address; it goes to the home screen.

Anyway, I only use this wallet when it's the absolute last resort.

This might be the worst wallet I’ve used. It is cumbersome just to send and receive, which has been figured out for almost half a decade at this point. You shouldn’t have to scroll through a massive list of coins, or have to search a specific coin just to do basic things. Anything you want to do will involve you scrolling through infinite menus, almost like a UI designed for a desktop environment, not a tiny cell phone.

I was following the steps on Coinbase Earn. I got to the step that said to transfer the Vara coins to the Vara this app to start staking the Vara coins. In two trans actions I transferred 278 Vara coins to the this app. The transactions show in Coinbase but the the this app doesn’t recognize my password word now so it asks me to create a new password. I did get a pop up message about iOS 17 causing issues with Vara and the this app and that the Vara team was working on fixing the issue. I have not heard anything since. Is there any way to get the Vara coins back?

I have two VARA accounts but if I import one then when I leave it deletes the other. I’ve gone back and forth troubleshooting for way too long. It doesn’t keep the name change of the accounts either. Major bugs need to be fixed. Also if you stake you can only unstake on iOS and not on desktop.

I just finished the quest for minting an NFT and then after i got out SubWallet , my account aint there. Like it went back to the create account screen, i cant log back in bruh.

There seems to be some back and forth on the promo through Coinbase. Seems that people that have figured it out are happy but the rest of us are pretty upset because it’s not straightforward at all. I’ve even tried doing what some of the reviews suggest and even that doesn’t help. Wish I could get the free $15, but if I can’t, I guess there wasn’t anything lost anyway. Deleting SubWallet .

I know a lot of work went into SubWallet but it seems to be very buggy! Something's the coins show up and sometimes they don't. I'm still working on getting the staking completed but the first coins I sent disappeared and the others still hasn't arrived in the wallet and Coinbase said it's sent! Happy I'm working on your dime not mine but I'll keep trying I want to see you guys succeed! 👍🤑🖖

Problems with the nft button missing got fixed. Transferred tokens showed up. Upping to 3 stars. Still don’t like the lack of direct contact with tech support.

I have to log in and add my seed phrase multiple times a day if I want to open my wallet. Helps me remember my seed but doesn’t help using this wallet.

They have issues every other week. With something, but their support on discord is helpful and this wallet has huge potential if they can solve all the minor issues everyone keeps experiencing.

I was having some trouble earlier today following Coinbase rewards but I came back later to find that I got my NFT and rewards! It just takes a little time.

It’s slow to update balances and half the time nothing shows up when you open a new page. I was looking for a polkadot compatible wallet to be my new daily driver. I’m sorry to say, but unless some things are fixed sub wallet will not be it. If it was a couple weeks old i could excuse some things, but it’s been around for more than a year. Also, it says 7 day unstaking period before you can access your coins, but I’m going on nearly 3 weeks now and it’s still showing locked. I dunno maybe it doesn’t deserve 1 star , but I’m trying to make a point.

Edit: apparently many of the problems were due to the new iOS update. And the staking issue was my own fault for not keeping a big enough balance to cover network fees.

It was a bit more difficult than others and I followed the steps a couple times. Went back to the reviews and read it again. Tried it again and it actually worked so I guess if it doesn’t work one time, don’t give up. Try again. Got my reward within 10 seconds.

I wanted to go back and give it 5 stars bc of how quickly SubWallet people responded and their willingness to help. Thank you! Great customer service! :-) bugs and glitches happen, but good customer service is hard to come by anymore. Thank you guys!! :-)

Coinbase said this task takes 5 mins and it took me about that long. There seems to be some confusion about the task list. After you download SubWallet , create your account and send your 15 Vara you need to go back to Coinbase on the same device you installed this app on and hit the “Start” button a second time. It will open a page where you can connect your this app account to the NFT generator and mint the nft. Go ahead and mint the nft and youll get a little block guy. Switch back to Coinbase without navigating away from the guy. One last time go back to your learn and earn for Vara and hit start one last time and I received my Vara within 10 seconds.

Must admit, this is pretty close to nova wallet actually. So far it’s working pretty good and might still be in beta mode as some things in the wallet state about further updates coming from the team.

So far so good actually, fairly easy and quick. I use Nova wallet and can’t say there are much competitive wallets out there, especially for a DOT ecosystem. Looking good team! Imma keep revisiting SubWallet and check it out throughout the coming days, one thing I would like to see is the description of the validators/nodes.

For those complaining that the Coinbase reward doesn’t work, please pay attention. Copy the web address to your account within the block explorer to your clipboard. Within the this app app, navigate to the “Manage Networks” tab under settings. Search for the VARA network and click the edit button. Finally, delete the default address for the block explorer and replace it with the one you copied to your clipboard. Your balance will then be visible if enabled. Hope this helps everyone having issues!

Their discord group is the best support respond ever. Literally had an issue with staking vara from coinbase and their support helped me unlock and I stake all my vara and withdrawals. They really help even more than coinbase did.

I am happy with this wallet. From my mobile phone I can easily send and receive different types of assets, stake and delegate tokens, play games, and collect digital collectors items and memorabilia. Get one!

Reviews made me nervous but it actually worked. Took about 10 minutes for the 15 to credit on Coinbase after minting the NFT and restarting this app to make sure it shows in your wallet.

App works as expected. Not really any different than working with any other blockchain wallet. If you’re having troubles, I’d start with blockchain basics.

I’ll delete my last review if I can find it or change to 5 stars. It’s working it just takes time without any explanation. None the less it’s a Vara thing not this app. I like the wallet for what its worth

Unfortunate to see reviews complaining about confusion as it applies to a Coinbase promotion.

SubWallet runs smoothly and also provides a comprehensive set of utilities, including: staking on parachains, an integrated multi-tab browser, NFT viewer with metadata, etc.

As a developer, myself, I can see the team has exerted a lot of time and effort into building SubWallet.
