While I absolutely love the idea, I think CancerBuddy still needs to work through some kinks. It won’t even allow me to create an account. I get a message saying I’ve exceeded the number of daily logins for my email when I try to create an account/password. Not sure how I can exceed the login access, when I’ve never logged in? Excited to see improvements!

Looked at it, but I don’t really see the point. I want support from the people who know me and love me. And on Facebook, Insta, etc there are plenty of ways to connect with other patients and survivors. Cute idea but not for me. I don’t have the energy to follow another channel right now.

Wonderful idea but CancerBuddy doesn’t seem to work well. It took lots of time to create the profile due to crashing and not loading properly. Once I was done I tried searching the groups but nothing showed up when I typed in the keywords box. All that shows up is the preloaded groups. Finding buddies isn’t very easy either. I can’t search by state. And when I do get results from the filters, they are minimal. So either there’s not many people using CancerBuddy or it’s not loading properly. Either way, I wish it wasn’t so hard to use. I’ll be looking for other options that are similar.

If you are apart of cancer community, this is CancerBuddy for you. Caregivers, survivors, newly diagnosed!!! Join a community that understands.

A great app to help cancer patients, survivors and caregivers, the groups are wonderful place to get advice and support. Hope more people connect and join to build a community.

This is a really important way for patients, caregivers, and family to connect with others in their area, with a similar diagnosis, at the same institution or in any way that is helpful to build a supportive community.

CancerBuddy is exactly what I needed as a young adult who is trying to navigate a life with cancer. I not only met people on CancerBuddy who understand exactly what I’m going through but even made a friend who I was able to meet in-person!

So thankful for the ability to support and make connections with other survivors. The ability to make friends and connect with others is so important, and I love the features CancerBuddy has to make that possible. The groups are great and everyone is awesome!

Really appreciate a modern take here, only issue is it’s not letting me finish setting up my account. When I get to the “Diagnosis” box it can’t find any relevant cancers no matter what I type in (regardless of how generic or how few letters are in there).

And I don’t have the option to skip that section so I can’t get to the core of CancerBuddy :(

Great resource for cancer patients, survivors, and caregivers. Individuals can connect or there are also support groups through CancerBuddy . I love the support groups- accessible 24/7 When you are going through cancer you need support. You need to know you are not alone. Thank you cancer buddy!

As an oncology nurse, I struggled with finding a good solution for patients looking for support groups especially those who are unable to travel until I found Cancer Buddy! CancerBuddy is exactly what cancer patients and caregivers need! Being a caregiver in the past and now a patient myself I have found CancerBuddy to be extremely helpful and has helped me feel less alone while navigating these medical journeys. When my Dad was diagnosed with AML and underwent a bone marrow transplant, it was difficult to find people who could related to our experience. Cut to Cancer Buddy. My Dad and I are able to connect with other patients and caregivers. Hear their experience, strength and hope.
