Lexus Integrated Dashcam Reviews

I downloaded this Lexus viewer because the latest lexus main app won’t work on any iPhones running iOS 17 or higher. I confirmed that iOS 16 works using an old iPhone 8 running iOS16 on the regular Lexus app. My hope was this newly released Lexus viewer app would help address the iOS 17 and 18 issues, but LexusIntegratedDashcam won’t even connect at all to an 2025 Lexus nx450h+ with factory installed dashcam.

At least the regular Lexus app will connect with iOS 17 you just can’t view any saved recordings nor does live view work either. So I have to carry a microSD reader inside the glove compartment just in case of a crash to show footage to the police. For Lexus vehicle they need to get their act together and fix these apps. I even contacted Lexus corporate care and they don’t even care and just told us to work with our local dealer — very poor customer service!!

I’ve had a tx500h for about 3 months now. DashCam seemed to be installed properly at first and I haven’t had a reason to check into it again, I have assumed it was working properly. This morning I encountered a crazy driver who was very erratic and driving dangerously and I was glad to have the factory dashcam. Pulled over to view and LexusIntegratedDashcam says dashcam not connected. The light is green on the dashcam itself, as it has been all along. I’ve tried all morning to connect, and after a long wait “connecting” it always says not connected! There are no recordings or anything available. Biggest waste of $400 ever. Do not bother! Lexus car app is a joke too. Do yourself a favor and get a BMW. This was my first - and will be my last - Lexus. What a joke.

Does not work as expected. Live video does not work. It was bad idea to pay $600 for this .

Another masterpiece for my Lexus, just like the Lexus app—complete garbage. Honestly, even circus clowns could make it more functional.

I cannot see the live view on my newly installed Lexus Integrated Web Cam. But the Technician was able to view it with his iOS 17.3.1 😩😭

Need to agree with other users. No live stream or even previews of events show on iPhone 14. Totally worthless. Lexus….let’s get it together.

I spent over $600 on the cam and install, I didn’t know LexusIntegratedDashcam was going to be this bad. If I did I would have never purchased it.

Can the developers please update LexusIntegratedDashcam so one can download a few minutes of video to pictures then access the video file ?

It kind of works. Not intuitive at all! My mother couldn’t figure this out at all. Live video does not work on my iPhone 14. Transferring files to my phone is sllloooowww? Why in 2023 is it like less than 1MB/sec? But, it does work. Hopefully you neve need it.

I do not like it it will not stay connected to wifi!! For a $395 feature from Lexus I expect better!! Experience Amazing?!? Please fix bugs!! This feature was not requested. Didn’t find out until car was purchased it had a DashCam!! I can do without it! Are refunds being honored??

App will not work on iPhone 15 pro max ios 17.5 , the developer said it will work on ios 11.0 or later Please upgrade this to work on updated iOS version Lexus is selling these dash camera in 2024 you should be able to use LexusIntegratedDashcam on updated IOS … there’s a lot of threads on line about LexusIntegratedDashcam not working on iPhones please fix the problem

For how much money I paid for the (not really) integrated dash cam, it’s anything but. Four hundred dollars and a buggy app will have you just yanking the SD card to view the field on your computer because LexusIntegratedDashcam can’t stay connected or transfer files in any sort of a reliable fashion. UX is terrible. Preview is unacceptable. Avoid it at all costs. Get an aftermarket dashcam if at all possible. This is a joke.

I finally bought my dream car ‘24 RX350 premium. The dash cam is one of the expensive add ons that I really need. LexusIntegratedDashcam won’t connect w/my iPhone 14. Frankly I’m shocked that Lexus has such terrible apps. I looked at other luxury car apps. BMW, Audi, Mercedes all have 4+ star apps.

I wish I had known how poorly rated the Lexus apps beforehand. It would definitely given a second thought about getting a Lexus. At least I’m only leasing for 3 years. 😡

It’s 2024 Lexus. I can buy and off the shelf dash cam that would work for a fraction of why I’m paying for. How is this even possible?!

I’ve already gone back to my salesman to have him fix this. He couldn’t. So I have to come back AGAIN to meet with the “technologist “ to figure this out. For the amount I’m paying for this car TBH I expe things to WORK AS ADVERTISED. Zero stars if I could. 🤬

DASHCAM won’t connect to app.

I had a 360 dash cam (front and rear) installed the other day and immediately downloaded LexusIntegratedDashcam. I attempted to connect my iPhone to the Wi-Fi on the dash cam multiple times each time it failed. I went and watched tutorial videos right through the connection, troubleshooting slides, and eventually stumbled upon a YouTube page that if your phone has a VPN, then it will not allow you to connect to the dash cam’s Wi-Fi. The next day, I disabled my VPN on my iPhone as well as disconnected it from my vehicle’s bluetooth, not until then was I finally able to connect the dash cam’s WiFi.

Once I set up my account on LexusIntegratedDashcam I noticed how clunky the site is and it still doesn’t show video for my rear camera. I’ve put in a call with my Lexus service advisor who is going to find someone that knows more about the 360 dash cam and they are to call me back.

I also want a note that it is very annoying That I have to disable my VPN and disconnect my iPhone from the vehicles Bluetooth every time I want to at videos recorded by my dash cam.

Need to have LexusIntegratedDashcam recognize an iPad and display in full iPad landscape mode.
LexusIntegratedDashcam does run on the iPad, but it runs as a small window. Not full screen.

Good app, needs work on usability and connectivity.

App works great. You need to modify iOS Wi-Fi settings to get it to function but once done… works like a champ.

All Dashcam apps including aftermarket ones connect the same way though slow WiFi so not sure why people complaining as if this is a Lexus only issue. It’s always going be faster to just pull the SD card to get to much needed clips. As long as the light is green it’s recording and doing its job. Not just because you can’t get it to connect from your phone.
