I manage multiple businesses under the same LLC, utilizing DBAs for each. Initially, I registered two ventures - a women's clothing store and a soap and skincare business. While addressing shipping challenges with the clothing shop and actively collaborating with TikTok to resolve those issues, they unexpectedly shut it down for shipping violations. Surprisingly, my soap shop, which hadn't made a sale, faced a similar fate due to “shipping issues.” Despite relentless efforts to contact TikTok Shop for resolution, automated responses hinder progress, making it challenging to reinstate both businesses. Despite initially enjoying TikTok Shop, the lack of human oversight in ticket handling creates frustrating obstacles post-removal.
Although I initially sought clarity and resolution for issues with both my shops, the current situation has led me to reconsider the value of continuing with TikTok Shop. After extensive online research, it appears that such challenges are not unique to my businesses, and this seems to be a common experience for many small businesses.
I would advise sellers to exercise caution when considering TikTok Shop.
