Absolutely Terrible

Overall review

If I could give VyStar a zero star I most definitely would, VyStar is absolutely useless! I am constantly being hit with some sort of error type message when trying to log in to my own this app account. I know all of my information but yet either an error message appears or VyStar crashes all together, I’ve tried to reach out to customer support but to no avail so I’m not exactly sure what else to do to access my own account information. The older this app app is no longer available to be accessed which was working just fine, I’m not sure why they felt the need to do away with it suddenly. Again I would not recommend switching over to VyStar at all until everything is fixed properly but until then VyStar is pointless.

Atrocious new app 4 straight days of unable to login

I’ve never in my life heard of a bank taking 4 consecutive days to install a new system. Can’t get through on the phone, that doesn’t recognize pins/pwds, can’t do a vychat, can use bill pay, can’t access your balance or any transactions. Basically blind to the activities of your bank account for 4 consecutive days. This is 2022 man. Don’t make me move to a bank instead of a credit union just so I can get basic abilities. This is very frustrating. Makes this app seem inept & in over their head, or with criminal/suspicious motives. Doesn’t make sense otherwise. Your customers are losing money everyday they have a non-functioning bank!! Get it together this app, and quick.

Update doesn’t work…. Multiple issues.

I would rate fewer stars if I could! I was forced to upgrade to the new app. Often I cannot login because I my login “data couldn’t be read because it isn’t in the right format.” Yes, it is. If I get through that, the two factor authentication often can’t find my contact info in order to proceed. One of just the two times I have succeeded in getting logged in, I was able to see my balances, but VyStar could not load my transaction histories on any of the accounts. The other time I was able to login, when trying to make a payment on my auto loan, VyStar said that my payment was rejected! Please go back to the old app!!! Too many issues!!!

Days offline and still does not work

In this day and age, to have your system off-line for days on end only to bring it back up and not work is absolutely ridiculous. Although I absolutely agree that the former system was dated and archaic, The new app is just plain terrible. Not only can you not login on VyStar , Web login doesn’t work either. There’s so many bugs for something that should have been tested. In this day and age, customers don’t expect to be without service for over four days only to roll out a subpar product. Very frustrating and concerning that the only way you have access to your money is to go to a physical location.

Valued member no longer

After 15 years of banking, I will be switching over to chase. To not have access to banking for several hours is upsetting but I haven’t had access for several days. this app has not even expanded their hours to help compensate. This was a terribly executed system upgrade and I really hope they pay attention to how this has impacted their members. If you are a new member downloading VyStar for the first time I recommend you close the account and switch to another credit union or bank. A delay in service like this is unheard of and speaks volumes to how this credit union is being run.

Not even functioning properly

Recently costar just released VyStar notifying bank holders that online and mobile banking will not be available until Sunday May 15th evening time. It’s currently Monday and VyStar isn’t even functioning good users such as myself can’t even get pass the login screen. I’ve called customer service and a representative told me some can’t even get pass security. I have to literally log in through safari and that’s not even working. Good luck trying to get in contact ladies and gentlemen because I had to wait an hour just to get a horrible or even reasonable response.

Issues with logging in

I have been using this app for a few years now and they haven’t made any notifications to it’s users about the new app. The issue I am having is when I go to log on using the same information from the previous app, it decides not to show my number or gmail for security log in and when I exit out VyStar and try again it shows but the info has expired to send me my verification codes. I’m not sure if I am the only one experiencing these types of difficulties, but this need to be fixed quickly all my bills relies on these transfers that I make.

Unacceptable

This is honestly so ridiculous. this app said maintenance would be from Friday to the afternoon of Sunday. It’s not Monday night and I’m still in the dark about what my finances look like. I’ve tried to be patient but at this point it’s like hoping and praying my card doesn’t decline because I’m unable to check/transfer due to the bank. I don’t even understand why this app decided to update their whole system and switch to a different app. It really is such an inconvenience and it makes me want to switch to a different bank at this point.

Useless app

So you log in .. takes you to the next screen saying we need to verify your identity you pick 1 of 3 options hit continue a pop up error message “oops your session has timed out.”Close out of VyStar try again this time where the options appear it says “ no data to display”. Close out and try again .. oops session expired.. And why doesn’t log on screen show option to use your fingerprint instead of typing your password? Completely useless and broken app . The old one was fine

This app is worse than the original

After first downloading VyStar i really had hope for it, but after one day all i can say is i’m not very happy i can’t even get into VyStar first of all, then when i go to try to reset it thinking maybe that will help it won’t even let me do that, so i’m really just at loss you can’t even transfer or see money on your MOBILE BANKING ACCOUNT and that is just ridiculous. After these experiences i will be switching banks because this app continues to let down.

If I could give this zero stars I absolutely would I have been trying for the past six hours to confirm identity and says loading and takes so long only to come back with the preposterous “can’t validate communication.. error loading I don’t even know what that means… this is my money and having to worry about all of these glitches especially when rolling out a new app is unacceptable should’ve just left it alone it had a fine app before

Poor

Having the same issue everyone else said it also locked my account so now I cannot get in ! I’ve tried calling the past couple days but no one will answer! Now I do not know how much money I have and that’s my only income card. My brother also did not get paid he banks through YALL, it is not his work that is not letting him be able to get paid the check simply hasn’t gone through YALL. Fix this this is so frustrating!

Terrible experience

VyStar is terrible man! Bad user experience and it wouldn't recognize my password. I can understand why do I have to download another app for an update. That's unbelievable. They probably went the cheapest way to build VyStar and that's the result. I even feel like moving my money somewhere else. Terrible experience!

this app is no longer qualify for my business anymore. You mean to tell me y'all launch VyStar with no testing whatsoever?? 🤦🏾‍♂️

Bad decision

Maybe VyStar will be good when/if it works, but this was a TERRIBLE decision to completely close everyone out of the old app, force them to get the new app, and it doesn’t even work!

Why wasn’t there an overlap where the old still worked for a week until they worked out the bugs? That’s a simple, routine process when going to a totally new app.

And if that wasn’t possible, how about a warning to the customers that a new app is coming? And maybe have someone on the back end actually TEST THE FUNCTIONALITY OF THE NEW APP before just rolling it out there??

Find out the new app doesn’t work? Fire up the old app until the new one can be fixed!

Come on this app, we expect better than this awful process. Big thumbs down on this mess.

Horrible

I am only giving 1 star because it won’t let me give 0 stars.
You don’t have a choice. You have to download the new app. I have tried everything, and I am not able to login or do anything. It keeps telling me error you are using the wrong format! I’m using the exact information that it is asking me for!
I have been trying all day! This is crazy and I don’t like not being able to access my account!

Terrible new mobile banking app

Absolutely terrible !! I haven’t been able to access the mobile app all day due to them updating the system. Come to find out they made a whole new app. I go to log in and my logins are not working. I try the “can’t sign in” button and that doesn’t work. Then I tried “enroll banking” and that didn’t work when I got the agree or disagree step it said it wasn’t in the “correct format”. this app please do better!!

The worst

You can’t even log in no matter what you do! I just got a new card and am trying to set up auto pay for my bills with the new card but looks like I’m going to have to pay late fees thanks to their lack due diligence before launching the new app. Maybe they should of left the old app available for use until all the kinks were worked out and their customers were able to switch over?

Upgraded App

this app you can do better than this! Cannot sign on, doesn’t let you reset password or enroll in banking. Called customer service, left my number, got a call back 45 minutes later. Girl said my member number was wrong and was rude. I tried to tell her it wasn’t, after a few minutes, I got tired of her rudeness and said I’ll call back later and hung up. I plan to close my account at my earliest convenience!

New app, new problems!

I recently downloaded the isolated app just to not be able to use it. Apparently it no longer recognizes my user name and password that was being used prior to these new enhancements. Just another reason for me to be rid of this app all together. Using an app shouldn’t be this hard or frustrating. I’m sure I’ll waste my time calling customer service, they probably can’t get into VyStar either!

Be patient. Servers not working yet. They just uploaded the new app today.

Garage

this app can’t get VyStar bugs worked out before they force you to download another new app to start over, just to have an impossible time signing in. Last app of theirs it took a long time to get set up not interested in doing this again. The developers can’t get it together… honestly looking for another credit union because I’m so sick of not being able to sign in without glitches and problems.

App dosent work

So far this app has been down 3 days. Now I get this new app takes me 30 tries to log in. When I finally get in my home page only shows 1 accoubt, I have 4. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling now takes 5 tries to log in and my whole page is blank. I would have rather stayed with the old app. At least I could see my money, pay my bills, deposit my checks. Now I cant do anything. Super frustrating!

New App Broken May 16, 2022

I have been enjoying my this app online mobile app for years and patiently waited all weekend to download the newest version of VyStar so I could continue using it for my daily needs. The new app will not allow me to login and displays the error message: “API call exceeded rate limit due to too many requests”. I have been trying for 24 hours. I have uninstalled and reinstalled VyStar . Very frustrating.

Poorly Implemented

this app shut down mobile and online banking for an entire weekend to implement the new system. When Monday rolled around they stated that there were delays to the new system causing mobile and online banking to be down even longer. The inconvenience created by trying to implement a new system that nobody asked for and delaying the implementation is a terrible look.

Push updates even when not ready

this app continues to push out updates to their app even when they are not ready for use. My guess is that they want to have their users be the beta testers. Based on the way they continue to have issues, I would recommend another bank or credit union.

Hard to log in. Verification number Keeps expiring within seconds making it impossible to log in. Not sure that because is new it has bugs that need to be worked in. Usually app is user friendly and fast. Hope this could be worked out soon.

Won’t load

Sad to think in this day and age that we delete so much on technology. New app heralded with many new options but I can’t even get it to log into my account. I assume based on the error messages that everyone in this app is trying to “re-up” their log in to access VyStar and the system is bogged down.

Hate the new upgrade

I’ve tried over and over to log in won’t let me. Keeps saying to many api what ever that means. I’m out of town and can’t check my account. Super upset they changed it to this. Won’t let you log in now have to wait to go to bank to figure out why I can’t log in

Error displayed at login “API call exceeded rate limit due to too many requests.”

Seems this new app for this app isn’t working, would be okay with this if at least the “old version” was still available. But no, that app is disabled now.

Have a backup if you’re launching a new IT system!

I have been trying to get it past the buffering symbol both on VyStar and online. Spoke with com workers that also use this app today and they are having the exact same issues.

Mobile banking

I may reconsider this once you can actually log in to your account, but to be with out mobile banking for multiple days is not a good look. Supposed to be able to log in today and all I get is this session has expired log in again.

Won’t let me sign in

I’m sure once the initial bugs get fixed VyStar will be better than the previous version. But for now, it only sometimes lets me have access to my account.

Another Failure

VyStar is horrible. I can’t even access my account and when I try to reset my password the website doesn’t work. I tried going to a branch and no help there either. It’s time for a new bank!

Get it together this app. You told us it would be over the weekend for the new app to be out. Weekend is over and while part of the new app looks good, you can’t log into anything. Can’t check anything, get to fixing the problem.

They claim VyStar is better and new but it’s the same old hot garbage this app keeps putting out. Can’t access info can’t log in. Makes me wonder why I’m even a member of this credit union when I can’t even bank from my mobile.

The old app never worked properly and here you go, this app is upgrading to something even worse then the previous one. I can’t even login to VyStar for the second day in the row.
