Carl's Jr. Mobile Ordering Reviews

Let me start off by stating that I love Carl’s Jr. food. I’ve eaten there for over 20 years now. That being said, CarlsJr is my only issue with them. I try their app because every restaurant has one now and it usually is more beneficial. Not CarlsJr. Here’s my experience, I go to place an order. I click checkout. It loops back to the cart with no confirmation and all my orders still in the cart. I try again. Nothing changes. Check my credit card statements and I got charged multiple times. I go to the restaurant. They have no order from me. They are unable to help me and I need to talk to the customer service department for CarlsJr . I check CarlsJr for any help or support button. There is none. I’m now stuck in an endless circle of trying to contact “customer service” and get my money back. I’m well into over an hour in dealing with all this. And just because I wanted to order on an app. Don’t download this. You are welcome.

Paid 30$+ through CarlsJr, they transferred it to door dash, door dash went to the restaurant and told me someone had taken the order and it’s not there, so door dash canceled order and told me we can’t refund you since it’s through carls jr app, I called carls jr branch that I ordered from and was told they cannot do nothing since I order through CarlsJr and I should contact CarlsJr customer service, well CarlsJr has no number to call and I have contacted them through their mailing service in app and got no response. I assume the restaurant employees know that CarlsJr is garbage and will never refund or assist or accept a complaint towards employees so they can just take the food, money, and tell the door dash guy someone else took it.

I made a order on the and when I was going to pick my order up at the restaurant it was closed “due to system issues” and I was charged and didn’t get my order. When they were open they never got the order and I was charged 🤦‍♀️. First time using CarlsJr was a disaster. CarlsJr doesn't show the order numbers or I didn’t get a email confirmation or txt messages.. I see the order on my app and the restaurant says they can’t give me a refund because I can’t prove unless I have the order number I’m like omg 😡. I feel like it’s a scam. So beware. Make sure your restaurant is open and take screenshots of you see numbers or have the txt on. BEWARE!!!

In this particular case as a first time user was an utter fail. I made the order easily enough… No issues there. CarlsJr and subsequent email and text directed me to join the drive through line and let them know I was ready to pick up my order. When I got to the location, there was no drive-through line to join. Fine. No worries, I went inside and let the gal know that I was there to pick up my mobile order. She didn’t have any knowledge of my order and I had to reorder at the counter. No convenience and no point in using CarlsJr. Also the counter person copped a real attitude which really galvanized the experience. Deleted app…

Let's take it from the top.
1) when using SSO (Google) login, it does not use the correct system methods to authenticate. It uses an isolated minibrowser that looks like a phishing attempt - asking me to enter my Google creds into an unknown website that looks like Google. This is horrible practice.
2) ordering is INCREDIBLY CLUNKY AND LAGGY. There are no "loading" indicators to show that it "heard me". So I have to tap everything 2 or 3 times because it doesn't seem like my tap registered.
3) afterwards, I was given a survey as to why I was dissatisfied, but it turned into Twenty Questions, and actually dead-ended at "what location did you place the order at?", which was nothing but a blank page that doesn't respond to anything. So, no way to proceed through the survey.

Oh, and when I got to the restaurant, it turns out you also need to tell it to "make my order now" (as Jack in the Box, and only they, also do). So I'm waiting here anyway. :(

I recently made an account because I saw you could earn stars (points towards food) from orders. It works as good as any other food ordering mobile app.

Only took a star away because it did not distribute the correct amount of stars (I paid more on the receipt, but in my Rewards history it displays $10 less meaning I missed out on some extra points). Not sure if that’s a problem with the barcode or something else.

Kudos to joining the 21st century when your competition has had apps with online ordering and pickup for years. But you should have had your systems set up for online pickup in your restaurants first before you launched CarlsJr . If people wanted their food delivered they would use what ever service to do it. Plus no one wants to pay more via CarlsJr compared to how much you charge in the restaurant.

Also no way to view the menu via CarlsJr . Yes I know the website exists but everything is way too large on the website as if it was designed for phones in 2011 and not 2021.

The layout and CarlsJr is actually a lot better now. The added rewards is nice and now there’s even coupons on CarlsJr itself. Lost 2 stars because you can’t even order at all. Not even for pickup none of the restaurants allow you do order not even drive through either. The 3rd party delivery doesn’t work either and it defeats the purpose of being able to order for pick up.

Whatever happened to the Carl’s Jr app that was available before Covid-19? You couldn’t order with that app but It at least provided value by making some deals and coupons available. This new app’s only functionality today is to find a nearby location and link door dash for delivery order so zero value today. However, I welcome their efforts to finally come up with an app and will patiently wait for rewards, online ordering, coupons and similar features that all other fast food restaurants have already been doing for a year or two.

Download CarlsJr , because I really enjoy a good Carl’s Famous Star, but no one in the area for better the 15 miles around is taking online orders. What’s the purpose of having and app if no stores accept it? Carl is way behind their competitors! Wendy’s app has it mastered! Maybe the should follow their platform. I do all my fast food ordering from the apps. I guess CJ is willing to let their competitor win over these customers! Sad. Don’t waste your time. I’m sure I’ll get the “canned” response, we’re working on bringing more stores on line…. When 2030?

I love Carl’s Jr. I think their burgers are amazing. But seems like they are not aware we’re in 2021. I download CarlsJr I can’t even use it. Says the nearest location is unavailable for mobile orders. Ok I can somewhat understand that. However it doesn’t even let you look at the menu at least. So I thought ok maybe their website will be better. It wasn’t that much better. I love Carl’s Jr. it’s a shame their website and app are light years behind other fast food chains.

Was excited to see Carl’s Jr. back with an app, but sadly it does not work. My Carl’s Jr. is across the street here in San Diego, CA so I wanted to order for “Pick Up” to get my FREE chicken sandwich and start earning rewards for installing CarlsJr as noted in my welcome email. Unfortunately while the “Pick Up” tab is present when selecting it the only option shown for my restaurant is “Delivery” which is then noted as not even being available through CarlsJr . Not a happy long time customer.

I’ve been waiting for Carl’s Jr. to join us in the 21st century. But CarlsJr is not ready for it. I ordered from my regular closest location that I frequent. I first added a large drink and noticed the price was way off at $2.29 instead of the normal one dollar. Nope.

Also, CarlsJr has no offers, but I’m still getting paper coupons mailed monthly. Deals are the single most important thing in a new fast food app! Ugh.

I downloaded CarlsJr , signed up for the rewards, picked the food I wanted, but there’s no option to pay through Apple Pay. Weird since the restaurants I’ve been to accept it. I try not to use physical credit cards or store my credit card number on apps and websites due to hacks. I guess I won’t be using CarlsJr . There also seems to be no information on how to delete a rewards account.

Every App Out Has Either Free Food Or Point System To Earn Food. In some cases both. That show is customer appreciation. But Carl jr is so greedy and clearly don’t give a fk about its customers. It’s A Take, Take, Take With Them. So As Of Now I Will No Longer Spend Money with brand until they create one. Al the other company can do it, they can too. Let all come together and make them show us some respect for our money and business!

First, CarlsJr doesn't automatically find the nearest restaurant. It doesn't even prompt to allow location services. So, I manually enter my location. I eventually am able to select a restaurant.

Once I select the restaurant, it only allows me to order delivery. If I select the delivery option, I am redirected to the Doordash website which wants me to download a separate app.

Stuck at the black screen with the logo. Let it sit for 30 minutes and still nothin

The food is great when they get all of the items you paid for in your bag. 50% of the time Im missing items. Downloaded CarlsJr thinking there would he deals or coupons but it was very disappointing to say the least. At home their coupons are in my mailbox, but come on, its 2021.

Like to see app specials and first time user coupons

Gets the job done, but there’s no scanner for entering a card number, no rewards in my area, and prices aren’t listed until you click on an item, which is mildly annoying.

App can’t even seem to find its own locations. I’m standing right next to one and it says there are none in all of San Diego! Can’t even look at the menu. Someone hasn’t figured this thing out yet!
