Waitr is making moves

I’m definitely impressed with Waitr, in my opinion, over the past 6 months or so they have constantly been telling us to update this or update that, combining apps and asking for feedback from the drivers. I’m liking the direction they are going, trying to keep this as simple as possible. I do wish that we as drivers had a rating system on our profile that customer’s could answer a few questions about the delivery process and bam, there you go. Somethings are out of our control and those should be removed from management. I work for another company and me personally, I constantly refer back to my ratings. I want to know how the customer feels I’m treating them (that’s what really matters), not how I feel I’m treating them. Also, if they could give the distance from where we are to the pickup location and to the drop off location as soon as the order is being sent out, that would be helpful. Instead, we have to accept order to see total mileage and then can release order. I hate releasing an order.

Like it but needs some changes

Louder notification and more distinct sound! If you get 2 orders at once you should be able to jump to each other order. Last night I was at a restaurant when I received an order from THAT restaurant. Then you sent another one that was close by. ASAP MADE me (or tried to) leave where I was- go get the other order- and come back to get that one. Obviously I didn’t do that I got the one where I WAS first. Here is my problem - you can’t go to the other person to send them a text that you’ve picked up their order. Please make it where you can switch from each job to the other if only for contact purposes. AND I cannot use your map. It seems to have a delay. When I finally get the address I just go to my apple map. Problem fixed but still would be nice if yours did actually work!!! Thank you!!!!!

Really buggy

I get signed out of app constantly and than won’t be able to sign back in for 10-30 min. Support doesn’t know why this happens, heck 8 hour shift and only 4 orders most days, new vip system doesn’t seem to give more orders. Either someone is giving their friends all the orders or new system is not being fair. And new routing for drivers is useless can not even zoom in on the map to see street names it just pops back to normal size, so what is the point of that? Maybe change or allow the option to change the notification sound cause if I get a new order while navigating to a customer, I usually miss it. Today prime example of another bug can’t schedule anything for today or rest of the week. And why does the scheduled bonus not show up in ASAP anywhere, would be nice to see how those bonuses are added in.

There are waaay to many notifications

I get letting people know that there’s surge pricing or that drivers are needed in their area; but, all of those notifications are CONSTANTLY going off. At least let us select the area that I’m getting notifications from because I definitely don’t want to hear about surge at an area over an hour drive away. Or have some sort of feature to turn them off during a certain time so my phone isn’t going off every 5 minutes while I’m at work

Do not drive for them without reading this

Update this update that, new layout this, new merger that.

The number 1 thing drivers need is missing.
Drivers need to see the hotspots in the area
Every driver app has this user friendly feature but bitesquad/ waitr just doesn’t.

Bitesquad wants you to just drive through the city blindly through much traffic just hoping your near orders. It’s such a huge flaw I can’t believe it hasn’t been addressed yet. Drivers are quitting because ASAP can’t provide competitive base pay, pay bonuses last 1 drive instead of a full day or specific few hours. It’s used to lore drivers offline on the road for 1 busy hour. ASAP is terrible for helping drivers maximize their mileage.

For multiple years it was hard to even figure out how much you were getting paid or cash out and only recently it’s been simplified, almost as if the developers really truly have minimal understanding of user ability

Only recently you can now see total mileage before accepting the drive

We need hotspots with on a visibility map before recovering orders or just an indicator of which locations in the city are busy

TERRIBLE APP FOR DRIVERS

YEARS BEHIND IN TECH

Has a Few Bugs

Usually very responsive, but the last few times that I’ve driven, I will get random “your order from *blank* was released” notifications. The problem with this is that I never was notified of or accepted an order from the restaurant in question. This is annoying because I don’t know if these releases are affecting my standing as a driver and also I would have preferred the opportunity to do those deliveries. This past time, it happened while I was in ASAP ! Definitely a big bug that needs to be fixed quickly.

Extension to my last review!

I forgot to add that y'all need to NOT SEND other orders until either the order we are on is finished or at least when we are at the delivery destination! It's hard to look at the next order when driving to the order we are on then decipher if it's worth accepting by looking at the distance of the pickup and delivery points! Door Dash doesn't send you another order until you are done with the order you are on and THAT IS HOW IT SHOULD BE! To have the attention that each order deserves you cant have other orders coming in before you are finished the order you are in because it takes attention away from the task at hand period! That takes away from great customer service!!

This app could be a lotttt better

1. There needs to be a go offline after this order option.

2. Instead of sliding accept delivery we should just be able to click the option instead. When you are driving and trying to slide the button it’s takes your attention away from the road.

3. The notification needs to be better. I deliver in a rural area so sometimes I don’t have signal. When I make it back to an area with service I’ve missed 2-3 recommended orders. Them sometimes I’m in a perfect location no notification received yet I get the notice that my order had been released.

Not Really Good

ASAP has a tendency to want to send you to locations that are incorrect which isn't good. The GIS/GPS is off. ASAP will state "your session has expired when you are within blocks of a delivery" which is a time waster. When this happens a user has to reinput their email and password amd in order to do this a driver has to park in order to accomplish this safely... what else? A lot. The tech team really needs to figure these things out. I've lowered my initial review to 1 star due to the "I'm sorry... please make sure you are running the latest version of our App..." response. Just awful. Apparently they assume we are as dumb as the current leader of the free world.

The pay is not enough.

Waitr is a cool app if you’re delivering without close proximity. However , when I get an order for $7.39 and the person lives 15-20 mins from where the restaurant is that’s a problem especially with deer seasoning approaching . I really wish they would make the customers pay more for that because essentially you’re wasting so much money on gas doing order like that along with the wear and tear of your vehicle for a little of nothing …. Only to get what ? Enough money for gas ? And the best part is they don’t really tell you how far the place is that you’re delivering to from the restaurant so you’re basically going in blind.

Super frustrating to use

ASAP stresses me out. Some days I get notifications of order offers in real time, and some days I get notifications that my order was released when I didn’t even know I had one offered to begin with. I miss lots of orders when that happens, especially when I’m navigating. It is incredibly frustrating. The only way I’ve found to mitigate the problem is to stay refreshing, quite literally constantly. Also ASAP regularly logs me out, even mid delivery. Sometimes it refuses to log back in. Currently it’s insisting it needs an update but ASAP Store isn’t reflecting an available update at all.

Please change to a button instead of slider

App is fine my biggest complaint is the slide button used to start/stop driving>arrive at restaurant>pickup delivery>arrive at destination>complete delivery. The slide button is to wide and close to the bottom of the screen that any error will close ASAP or change to a previous app.

Frustrating

I often miss deliveries that I never received a notification for.

When an order comes in I would like to see the complete information(pickup, drop-off, and estimated distance for both) BEFORE I accept it. There’s nothing more disappointing that accepting an order, then finding out the delivery is out of town.

Don’t send me a delivery notification while I’m in the process of making a delivery, that’s also frustrating.

The “estimated delivery time”!is a complete joke. We are driving automobiles with city traffic, and sometimes it takes 10-15 mins just to find parking spaces for some pickup locations. We are not driving super sonic aircraft. I had one delivery that said I made the delivery 84 minutes later than estimated, which was a huge exaggerated lie because I hadn’t ever been on shift for 84 minutes.

Never works

This thing signs me out all the time I think I’m on and waiting and I go check to see if I’m still logged in and what do you know it says start driving and that I’m logged off. I constantly clear cache uninstall and reinstall and nothing fixes this issue. I have delivered to the wrong address once before because this signed me out during a delivery and I fought with it over and over to get back in thought I had address in my head and nope I drove off and get a. Call it was wrong. Def the most frustrating app I’ve ever used.

WORST version so far!

Please stop updating ASAP when it’s working efficiently! I’ve had nothing but problems with this for the past 4 days. Sometimes I get notifications, and sometimes I don’t. ASAP CONSTANTLY freezes, and my orders keep disappearing during the delivery process. Also, I get logged out at least two or three times a day, and sometimes I have to turn my phone completely off and restart it just to get back in. I shouldn’t have to restart my phone on a daily basis. This is ridiculous! Please, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!!!”

By

Fix please

Pretty great app, easy to use. Only problem I have is that when I’m in a new area visiting or anything it won’t let me change locations. I have it to where it can track my locations for me to pick up orders no matter where but it will only pick up orders based where my address is and not where I’m actually at.

The Worst Delivery App out there

Waitr is a complete joke when it comes to pay. Go look at your statements and explain how they float the customers tip to stiff you out of a base pay.

My phone blows up with 20 notifications an hour saying my area is surging which is dangerous while driving, all to hardly get a job that pays either $5-$6 and driving absurd distances.

Uber eats pays me a min $15 a job and most the time it’s $20+ . So again explain these outrageous gas prices we are paying now and receiving no realistic pay from the company.

By

Still a little glitchy

Overall, it’s a good app and easy to use. They apparently have network issues because my weekly ranking sometimes says my acceptance rate is much lower than it should be (68% once when I accepted another 60 orders out of 60.

It still sometimes log you off, so you need to keep your eye on it.

By

Notifications

The notification sound is difficult to hear especially if you are driving with your window down. It’s easy to miss a delivery opportunity. I have missed a few because of that issue. Another drawback is that ASAP doesn’t tell you total mileage for pickup to delivery when you get a notification.

I also don’t like the fact that that you have to put settings to track you 24/7.

By

Not that great

I do not like that I can’t see where or how far I am going before I accept the order. I drive for another company and can see exactly what street it is on and how far of a distance it is from where I am at, to the restaurant, to drop off point. I don’t want to have to accept an order before knowing how far away it is. Especially with high gas prices. I probably won’t drive with Waitr much until that gets fixed.
