I bought dreams x40 ultra. I find the UI of app confusing and hard to use. My biggest problem is settings for frequency of washing the mop pads. The only options for minimum washing frequency for mopping pads is 1. 108 sq ft 2. 10 mins 3. After finishing each room. Clearly all the options are too high time and the mops get really dirty by then. I certainly do not want the mopping pads go on mopping without cleaning for this long on all the options. The minimum time should be least 5 to 6 mins. The mopping is barely using any water because it barely washes pads 5 times for my whole apartment. I was using Ecovacs before this which allowed me to set the robot to return to base station and clean pads every 6mins.

This is literally one of the worst iOS apps I have ever tried to use. I have the newest iPhone 15 Pro and this is literally the only app I’ve ever used that makes the phone burning hot to touch. Like all Asian device manufacturer apps, this is clearly an Android-first effort and is using some sort of compatibility layer to get it to run on iOS, while using some software decoder for Google’s video codec, which is what causes it to run so hot.
I literally purchased THE MOST EXPENSIVE robot vacuum IN THE HISTORY OF ROBOT VACUUMS (which is pretty good) and this is the best App they can come up with to control it?

It worked perfectly fine before but today I wanted to change a scheduled cleaning for my L10S Ultra but Dreamehome crashed immediately without opening (“Dreame” text on the white background and then home screen immediately). I tried to delete it and reinstalled several times but no effect at all, unfortunately((

Confusing and illogical navigation and organization, lacking intuitive UI design.

- Rooms numbered for cleaning order but no ability to spot clean or clean a single room

- AI did a decent job on mapping home, but no ability to edit walls that were detected but do not exist (limited furniture options, ability to edit floor plan after creation, etc)

- Overall layout and organization of Dreamehome is choppy, no real flow or logical organization of functions

- Siri integration is lacking, can set command to clean whole house only

Would like to see Dreamehome match the quality of the robots. I have two L10S Ultras and an L20 Ultra and have only used the L20 Ultra so far, but plan to use the L10S Ultra’s shortly. Will update if/when the functionality is improved.

As part of the pairing process it asks you for a wifi network and password, then just becomes completely unresponsive. The buttons do nothing, it just sits there frozen.

Also loses points for completely unnecessary cloud nonsense. This doesn’t need a login, a cloud or an internet connection for any of these features. Super creepy given there’s a remotely accessible camera on the vacuum. I think I’ll just stick with pushing analog buttons with my analog fingers.

Ask for email subscription every time when I open Dreamehome ! Can not be turned off!

Please do iPad version, it is easy!!
Just scale elements properly

I have downloaded two different programs for the DBO D9, and neither one of them work! This particular application will go through all the steps and says everything is fine and then refreshes the page and there’s no device so it doesn’t actually add anything so I have a brand new vacuum sitting here at my house and I can’t even use it!

Owned several robot vacuums this one takes the cake for buggiest app and most annoying vacuum. A $1,000 vacuum and it has worse obstacle avoidance than an old $150 vacuum. It refuses to map my whole house. The no-go zones can’t be resized to anything smaller than a large box. The robot continuously hits the same thing over and over, as if it will move on the 100th time. Overall disappointing experience for this kind of money.

Dreamehome was good before the update, it it slower now and the saved shortcuts are gone

Dreamehome, and perhaps the company is rubbish. After the latest update it required a login. Instead of logging me in, it created a new account and lost all prior data, including floor maps etc. reached out to support and they treated me like garbage, basically ignoring the issue and didn’t assist in data recovery. Beware.

App won’t allow iOS strong passwording so you have to use your own. Even still, the rules it gives you are wrong compared with what it will/won’t accept. Messages are often in very broken English. Network attachment doesn’t work as written - the wizard clearly wasn’t test for either auto or manual configuration. Edit: they gave incorrect written instructions for which buttons to push. Picture is correct, wording is wrong!!!

The vendor should qualify their software against their instructions.

Dreamehome is horrible… proves something I always wondered about that product reviews are fake and I can tell you for sure some are.

Just got the vacum and Dreamehome just wants to do too many things, have not got past the network connect. Absolutely rediculous. So until I find a tech savvy person, I CANNOT VACUM ?? Absolute nonesense. Whoever wrote Dreamehome needs to understand upfront that this a vacum cleaner...

If I don't get it to eork by tomorrow, qell it will go back to the shop

Do not use the dreametech vacuums. They intentionally bricked most peoples devices via Dreamehome with region blocking, even if you use your device with the correct region.

Customer service will not email you back and they hang up on you when you complain. (Hearsay).

Dreamehome is terrible. It only lets you clean manually.
That’s it.
Everything they list is false. It does not allow scheduled cleaning, fast mapping, no go zones, etc.

Unfortunately app not able to set up a dream vacuum robot.

It appears they updated their app. Now nothing works. I have to start and stop my robot manually. Having flashbacks to my first rumba.

Dreamehome has a bug where the status of the robot vacuum does not update until you back out to the home screen , then choose the robot again. Often times, the robot will have already finished cleaning, but when I open Dreamehome it continues to say it is still cleaning. As a software engineer, I know this is extremely easy to fix. Just listen for Dreamehome foreground event and trigger a refresh.

The English translations for Dreamehome are awkward. “Pour out the waste water in time” could be less awkward as “Pour out the waste water soon”. There’s also poor word choice. For example, “dining hall” is given as a choice to label your rooms. “Dining room” is far more common in USA. Dreametech should have hired some native English speakers to fix up this awkwardness.

The overall UI/UX of Dreamehome is really bad. It is not intuitive as one might think. The mapping of the house by the robot needs to be fine edited, of course, but the ability to do that on Dreamehome is very limited. Rooms have been created and named but there is no way to simply edit the room names. Tapping the edit map icon and Rename button opens the screen to rename the whole map but not an individual room.

Wall adjustments are limited to moving them using a plus/minus button but I’m unable to redimension the wall if it is wrong

I want to love Dreamehome but sadly it’s not ready for prime time.

Dreamehome no longer updates to tell me where it is and what has been completed.

A recent update requires me to resetup, remap and do the whole nine yard of setting up restriction zones. Who in your SW team thinks this is a good idea?

For some reason I’m not able to get to the fifth step and connect this to Wi-Fi. It’s very frustrating and I’ve tried everything. I do see the dream tech when I look under Wi-Fi connections however. But I do not believe that my phone and this system is going to connect.

Like others have said, Dreamehome no longer shows you where the robot currently is during cleaning cycle, nor what has already been cleaned. Not sure how this made it past QA since that’s a pretty important feature.

I only use the tasks to clean and one update moved it from the main play button into a small button on the side which is hard to click and so laggy. I have to click it multiple times to open the tasks menu. Pls revert this change or make the button bigger

Dreamehome is extremely slow to run and responses are delayed to the point that you begin wondering if you ever pressed a button at all. I am used to immediate responses when pressing buttons in apps and this is very, very far from it.

Please, add d9 pro!!!

I have purchased a robot vacuum cleaner

After a dust my allergy diagnosis, we decided to remove all the carpet in our home and extend hardwood floors throughout. Keeping up with sweeping and mopping was a challenge so we invested in a Dreame. It’s really easy and does a good job. It also causes us to be aware of and minimize clutter on the floor, so in addition to removing dust and mopping, it’s keeping us more tidy than ever. The only challenge I’m having is that about once a week it goes off-line and requires us to reset our Wi-Fi.

Dreamehome does not refresh back to the map after a cleaning is completed. I have to restore the map each time for the furniture icons to reappear on the map.
The no go zone feature works well and the object avoidance is pretty good.
On the iPad you also have a VR option for furniture and it says refer to the manual but there is nothing there. Support is responsive but judging by the responses I received it was clear they did not understand the question.
If they can improve Dreamehome and documentation it will be a winner.

When I saw how few and bad the reviews were, I got kind of scared. But when my bot arrived and I started using Dreamehome , I was totally relieved. If you are anything like me, relax! This is by any means a full-featured, awesome app. You get every control you ever need (or even dreame?). You can even tweak the tiniest details in the workflow. P.S. I just had to write this and support Dreame because it's an awesome company. -- Future suggestions 1. Why are pause and home control above the icon on the dashboard? This is bad UX. Same thing applies to shortcuts and camera. 2. I added a carpet manually. Will the mapping be automatically refined by the bot? What's the use of adding furnitures? These are minor matters that certainly will benefit from more info-sharing. 3. I understand your design thinking. But allowing more settings to be changed when the bot is running could be a good thing. 4. When the robot shares pictures of obstacles, there should be a button to ignore the one I'm viewing if it's wrongly detected. And ignoring obstacles should be possible midway through the process. 5. Give us more info about the cleaning process and what stage the robot is in.

Dreamehome is unfortunately poorly rated but my experience in setting up my vacuum has been great so far. A lot better than the brand that starts with an E. I’m optimistic for it to continue to go well. If this review is t updated you can consider it going well.

I have owned two other robot vacuum brands, and this is by far (again, by far) the best I’ve owned! I am able to schedule vacuuming and mopping separately or together. I mostly vacuum, which is scheduled to run everyday. But you can do different rooms on different days in any combination you can think of. And, I can still run impromptu cleanings of any one or more rooms. Which I do frequently after family get togethers. The fast map feature had me up and running quickly out of the box. I love being able to set electronic no go zones instead of needing physical barriers like other vacs. For me the whole system is a game changer. And the navigation is very accurate. It isn’t constantly crashing into my future. In fact, I don’t believe it’s hit anything yet. Now if they could make it climb stairs! I’m sure that’s coming at some point in the future. But for now, I guess I will have to purchase another one for the second floor of my house.

Dreamehome and vacuum are hands down the best I've had . Ive moved over from the roomba and have no regrets people who complain about Dreamehome clearly haven't used another one.

I think they are both great so far. The complaints I read here in Dreamehome Store seem more to do with network and connectivity and perhaps just unwillingness to spend time with Dreamehome . The vacuum maps out your house. It’s not perfect. It knows that and it depends on you to sit down and READ instructions, set boundaries, set preferences, and for best measure watch over it a few times, etc. After you sit down and make it perfect for you, it will be perfect for you. You just have to take a few minutes and make it worth your while. It says here that Dreamehome was updated two weeks ago and may have been not so great before that (idk I’m new to it), but it’s great now! I’m so glad I shopped for sooooooo long before finally making this purchase. ❤️❤️

I’ve had the vacuum and have been using Dreamehome for the last month . So far so good. No issues 🤙🏽

First day using this robot and Dreamehome .
My Ultima L10s ultra does great job (both vacuuming and cleaning) and for me it was easy to set up Dreamehome , pair it, and the interface is pretty much clear to me and functional as well.

I had to write a positive review even though I’ve only had Dreamehome one day. Using this with the l20 ultra I have had no issues and have been wowed by what it can do and the many features I have discovered so far. I’ve set a virtual wall, cleaned by room (which was mapped and correctly labeled automatically) and by zone. It correctly identified carpets and can lift the mop for them but I’ve also set one carpet area to be vacuum only. Tried out the camera feature which I can apparently drive around like a drone on the ground. Seems like Dreamehome is working great for me!

Initial setup took a while but afterwards everything is working perfectly. Love it, I am sure the team can improve the initial setup experience in not time :)

We recently purchased the L20 ultra. This vacuum has surpassed our expectations 100 fold. I am amazed at the level of attention this vacuum/ mop pays to specific details in the cleaning process. When I come home and look at the floors after L20 has cleaned the floor shines and I am amazed.
I highly recommend this unit. I have no regrets!
