Do I really have yo delete the app and reinstall every time I use this??

I am a daily online banking app user. Or I was. Every time I try to open Everwise I get the no online connection message - and I AM connected. All my other apps work fine. When I contacted the help line, I was told to delete Everwise snd reinstall, which solved the problem. But the next time I went to use Everwise , I got the same connection error page. Wash rinse repeat. And it works until it’s closed and I need to reopen it again. Today I had to call to find how to deposit a check, because the “help” just have me an answer that was telling me to choose it from the tiles — obviously the help data has not been changed to match the new app. And when I called in and found out where it is now, guess what?? I had to delete Everwise and reinstall it AGAIN. This is not fun and nothing at all like what I have been used to in my years with TCU. Going to be a real pain for people like us who are 60 miles fyom the nearest

Garbage

Worst banking app I have ever had the misfortune of using. Refuses to connect anytime I am connected to any WiFi, whether it be home, work or restaurant WiFi. Once I am finally able to log in half my accounts don’t even show up. 29 times in a row of logging in I have had to “remember” my phone. Still have to sit there and wait every time to get a text message to verify. Never had problems with the old TCU app. Worst decision the credit union has done. Will be emptying my accounts and going somewhere else. 25 years of banking with one credit union down the drain.

STILL NOT WORKING! @$&#%

Waiting to see if my review from this morning gets posted…meanwhile, STILL can’t get on…🤬 And to any of you looking thru these reviews, it is painfully obvious to even the most non tech savvy users, that any 4 & 5 star reviews were generated by the developer or employees… Just scroll thru and count the 1’s, and then multiply that to the nth power (for those who don’t know how to submit reviews)- That should give you a true picture of the frustration and and anger this site (and switch) is causing 🤨

Total crap now

If I could give no stars I would. I see everyone is having the same issues. It’s not just Everwise but also online. As soon as the name change went through nothing works. Won’t even load. I was told to go off my wifi and it would work. It does if I’m close to the bank! Also can’t get it to load on my laptop! I’ve been with teachers credit union for 17 years! Never had a complaint until now. Get your stuff together “this app”

Never available

I have tried so many times to do my mobile banking and I almost always get a “pop-up” saying it is unable to open at this time. I am truly more of a TCU fan than this craziness!

New name/ Even worse app

I was hopeful with the name change Everwise would get better....boy was i wrong. It went from a one star app to a I wouldn't want to use to app if my life depended on it. I hate changing banks but this is my final straw. It's 2023 and your new "redesigned" app is worse than your old one. It won't even show my accounts or their balances and of course you can't use their website anymore to check those balances so I'm virtually screwed. Well done "this app". I'm "ever gone".

Best App I’ve had

I’ve used a few different systems and this is the best app I’ve used yet. I love the new name change and not to mention the color but I never have any issues with information loading.
Every time I get on it works perfectly!

App Update

My TCU app didn’t update automatically, but after I turned my phone off and on again the option to update to this app showed up. The new layout is much better!

If it’s not broke don’t fix it

Everwise got changed like 3 times in one year. The original app was great and worked fine, never gave me issues. This one on the other hand, now it won’t even let me login. I can login on the website fine but then try Everwise and it says my login is incorrect. I know my login is correct because it lets me log in on the website.

App will not load for 3 days now.

I liked Everwise well enough at first but now I can’t even get into Everwise . Deleted and reloaded several times. Turned off my phone several times. It’s not my internet as it suggests because everything else works fine. Please get it together, this is so frustrating and shouldn’t be. This is the age of technology, not Fred Flintstone.

Absolutely beyond horrible. The person who they hired to create these apps for this bank is living the life. He or she gets to make a steaming pile and hand it to TCU and they actually use it for their infrastructure. Repeat psalms 23 over and over again as you use Everwise and you should make it through with a little luck.

Inconsistent System

Wow, can you all just pick a system to work with? There’s the original app, then the new one, and now some rebranded “this app” or something without a heads up (as far as I was aware)? Not to mention Everwise crashes instantly if you’re not updated to the newest version. Extremely frustrating overall.

Not happy

Ever since Everwise changed & updated it never wants to load or even open I have to delete it multiple times and redownload it and still having trouble. Now it’s saying something about the network not working but I’m not having any other trouble with my other apps

Since I've been using these apps this is the third time they've switched over to some other system, and I've been trying to get this thing to update for almost an hour and it's still loading, I just wanna check my account.

Extremely inconsistent

Constantly get a “we are having trouble loading this for you right now, check your connection”. I need to see where I’m at and this is beyond frustrating. As soon as my loan is done I will be leaving this business ASAP.

This is horrible

We have tried for days and still can not get our banking app to work. We have been with TCU for over 30 years and are about to make changes to another bank if they can’t figure it out.

Frustrated 😣

I utilize mobile apps for 3 different financial institutions and I have never been more frustrated than with the this app app. Ever since TCU switched I have had maybe a 15-20% success rate of opening Everwise . The remainder of my attempts have had various failures…connection error, trouble loading etc. I am trying to be patient with the transition, but if this isn’t resolved within the next couple of weeks I will definitely be switching banks.

Is anyone going to fix this.

Is Everwise ever going to work? Because it doesn’t, and if this dint going to be resolved I’d rather just bank elsewhere because it’s so frustrating that things worked fine prior to Everwise changing several times in one year. Why aren’t these things being fixed?

Deposit checks rarely works

Welcome to the “new TCU”. We were part of a small bank that listened to customers and had a simple app that worked. With the new this app you now have the big bank feel with the big bank problems and the lack of caring how their app work or rather doesn’t work. You see the poor ratings your app gets and refuse to fix it. Please fix whatever glitch that does not allow me to deposit checks. I hit “deposit checks” and the screen goes blank. I assume you’d like us to keep depositing checks?

Not being able to link to any service that uses Plaid is a pain

I’m going to assume this is an issue with TCU/this app but sometime in the past, support to link your bank account to services like Plaid has be dropped. It happened with TCU and it’s an issue with this app. I can’t link to apps like YNAB, SoFi, the now defunct Catch app. The new “redesigned” app isn’t much better. It was much better before the last redesign as TCU.
this app needs to get with the modern world.

Unacceptable

Trying to see my funds for the past hour and nothing will show. The is unacceptable. Makes me want to change banks. If it won’t work why would I want to bank with you?

Terrible app and user experience.

Everwise is atrocious. I get repeated error messages and notices to try again later. I’ll get messages that I’m not connected, yet every other app is working. Worse yet is when you try to call in, sit on hold, only to have them tell you to restart your phone or delete and reload Everwise . What I really need to do is withdraw my funds and move to a better credit union, of which the list is long as the great service and experience from the TCU days is long gone.

So disappointed

The revision of Everwise before the conversion to this app was bad and it just seems to be getting worse. I’ve been trying to deposit a check for 2 weeks. The page never loads

“Expected” network error

I have been getting an error for 2 weeks. Turned off the phone and deleted the application several times and still didn’t work. Sent and email and now I have to call during certain hours of the day. I also went down to my local branch and they couldn’t do anything with it. Very disappointed! When will this be fixed?

App doesn’t work

Every time I open Everwise it doesn’t load. It says network error no matter what wifi network or cellular. I’ve deleted and reinstalled countless times and it still doesn’t work. I’ve talked to others and they are experiencing the same problem. If you’re thinking about using this app, I’d recommend finding a different bank

Bad

The online mobile bank app has had way too many “outages” since the launch. Not being able to utilize online banking is very frustrating for a client who lives out of region and do not have access to run to an atm. App literally does not work. Fix your services. this is ridiculous.

Mobile Deposits

Sincerely concerned with the state of an app that is unable to complete mobile deposits when all competitors I’m aware of can deliver on this field. Makes me question sincerely why I would bother staying with a company that had this problem reported on September 1st publicly (insinuating that this is probably a reoccurring theme for longer than a month) and has still failed to provide an update or patch to correct this issue. The very nature of this problem should immediately cause any customer of theirs to reconsider whom they keep their money with if they are this inefficient and ineffective at correcting a function that is widely available from most any other competitor in the only banking industry.
And to prematurely answer the “developers response” that will prompt me to reach out with the this app help desk, I appreciate that you have that, however I nor any other customer should expect to have to go through a help desk to deposit a check. I sincerely hope another review on this issue encourages some discussion or even actual change for your app!

Hardly ever works

Everwise is infuriating. I can almost never get the “deposit a check” feature to work, which means I have to make another trip to deposit the check I thought I could at home. Sometimes it won’t even log me in to Everwise . I don’t enjoy this and would not recommend this bank to family or friends.

We’ve been with the company for over 24 years and never had so many problems. The mobile deposits do not work. Over half the time the screen is blank when trying to sign on. Deposits that should be instant take forever. It refuses to verify my bank
Account when trying. Something really needs to be done to fix all of these. I enjoyed the small banking feel of TCU . If I had wanted all of this I would have switched to one of the bigger banks.

fix the app bro

i’ve been with tcu literally since i was 13 and ive NEVER had an issue with it. now its this app and its terrible. Everwise wont even open anymore ive deleted it multiple times and redownloaded it and it wont work at all. its obviously been brought to your attention by these other reviews and you refuse to fix it. i would like to be able to check Everwise and see my money instead of having to pull my laptop out and try to sign in on there. just fix Everwise it’s terrible.

app is not functional

The one most used function for a mobile banking app is to deposit checks. Looking at the other reviews, it seems this has been an issue for multiple months with no resolution. Just tried today (downloaded for the first time) on a completely updated iphone and ipad and it’s unusable. Doesn’t work. Please do not refer me to the helpdesk, just fix your app.

Need’s revamping

I switched over from another Credit Union and their banking app worked perfectly well. TCU wow Everwise works sometimes and it’s frustrating because I have bills due and they need paid. Please fix the glitches. Half of the time it never connects properly.

Bye Everwise

My wife has had a TCU account since she was a kid - probably 40 years ago. These recent web/mobile changes have gone from bad to worse. It is so bad for us, we are switching financial institutions. We’ve loved TCU/this app, but since we do most of our banking online, it’s become untenable. As a web application/e-commerce developer, this is unfortunately serving as a cautionary tale.

Main complaints:
Website/ mobile app is buggy and poorly designed
I cannot connect my account to YNAB.

Horrible glitchy app

Took nearly 25 minutes just to get connected to someone on the phone. I moved out of state and needed to transfer money between this app and Interra (a sister branch within the region!) and apparently that cannot be done over the phone (despite having transferred money between these accounts NUMEROUS times over the years). There are no sister branches where I moved. The other option was a wire, but they were unwilling to waive the wire fee. The last remaining option is to use their app (read the reviews on the appstore), which means I have to wait for verification funds to be deposited to Interra. The unwillingness to work towards a mutually agreeable solution is frustrating.

Thinking back to when I've gone in branch, it does take at least 10 minutes usually before you get helped, and it has happened where I've waited over a half hour before.

Update: the micro transaction occurred but this app’s app throws an error when I try to validate the account! I messaged the live chat agent through Everwise , and they said they’re aware of the issue and working to fix it ASAP. So I’m still unable to transfer my funds that I needed transferred yesterday.

Thankfully there are other banking options, many with better features and interest rates! Goodbye this app.

Constantly crashes

If you do a lot of digital banking, this app isn’t for you. I can’t count on access to my accounts digitally. It constantly locks up and locks you out. Icing on the cake is when an entire grocery cart of groceries couldn’t be paid for because my card kept declining. I call the bank and it’s because there was a suspicious DEPOSIT in my account so they locked it until I verified it was not fraud. Even though the same deposit had been made many times before. Makes zero sense other than to drive customers away.

this app has been down fife 2 consecutive business days.
So far, I haven’t received any acknowledgments of fixes for the error. I even deleted Everwise and tried reinstalling it. Nothing worked.

I don’t know how many more times they’re going to switch mobile banking apps. Complete clown show. This new bogus app does not even show me my accounts lol. 3rd time theyve switched apps this year might just switch banks

Best customer service!!!!

I use the branch in Greencastle, Indiana. Every employee in there are genuinely nice, helpful, and just great people!! I do wish you would add another drive-through though to that branch!!

This is terrible compared to the prior version, screen doesn’t rotate if you’re using an iPad, transferring between accounts is hit or miss, it won’t let you select a date. Does TCU not care that everyone hate’s it? It sure seems that way, because it’s not being addressed

Everything has pretty much been ironed out finally, EXCEPT…..the screen still doesn’t rotate when using an iPad

Name change

Since the name change this app , it is no longer recognized by Centier bank where I also go. I will transfer funds monthly and am no longer able to. I have waited, I have reported it and still not able. I don’t really care for the name or logo either, I guess that’s just my opinion.

Worst mobile banking ever

I have my car loan through this app, but do not have a checking or savings account with them. Paying my car loan through Everwise or even online is impossible because it does not let me connect my outside bank account to pay my loan no matter what I do. I have raised this concern over the phone with customer service in the past but was basically told “sorry, can’t help you.”
It was much easier though TCU before they became this app.

TCU/Everwise

First off, Everwise sucked with the TCU name. Now, with this pointless name change, Everwise is even worse. As of 7.7.23, Everwise just doesn’t work for me. Tells me there’s no connection when that’s definitely not the case.
