Doesn’t work with SSO

Sadly, Lucidspark doesn’t seem to work with SSO via Okta. I love the web client, but not being able to pull up content on my phone makes it difficult to rely on for critical documentation difficult.

Bait and switch

Changed terms for paying users and can no longer use iOS app. Have to use web browser instead. Junk.

Can’t sign

I’ve tried to sign in

I would keep subscription if few changes

So right now there is no way to take a picture of something and save it using mobile app. Also it needs a better way to add web clippings, news stories, etc. Would also like to be able to save files to a board maybe even connecting to google drive, etc.

Doesn’t hold up to the iPad standards

Any serious iPad user will see that this is an underdeveloped app for iPad. The Apple Pencil support is lacking.
Here are a few pro tips:
- iPad users should not have to select the pen tool. If the Apple Pencil touches the screen, that means the user already wants to draw
- If any stylus is connected, do not let a finger be used as the pen. A finger touch should be used as scrolling

This is just the beginning. There is an implied set of standards that come with Apple Pencil support that users are comforted with across a wide variety of apps, and the user experience for Lucidspark does not conform to those.

Needs Palm Detection

Quite often it jumps around when you use the Apple Pencil. It happens when you place your palm on the screen.

Lack of Offline Support for iPad app, come one…

Low hanging fruit here product team, you can support this via browser but not your own app? I want to assume it’s due to some prioritization based on users feedback and actual usage, but I am the user so get it together. I can’t always pop open my massive MBP on a plane.

Lots of promise, under-delivering

Product has tons of promise, right now the user experience on iPad is not what is expected. The stylus does not allow tap to switch to eraser, the board captures hand movement as drawing when using the pen, and the sync does not seem to work for many documents.

A complete lack of proper pencil support

Without proper scribe hand witting input into post-its and other on page objects this will always be a second class service.

So excited to see this on ipad!

I think Lucidspark has amazing potential! I use lucidChart a lot and lucid spark to me feels more natural with a pen in hand to make it closer to a whiteboard. If they can make Lucidspark function correctly with palm rejection, double-tap pencil functionality, etc., I think this would be amazing for collaboration. My benchmark is the Notability app for iPad. I know the feature set is different but if they could make the pencil as fluid as it is in Notability, i would be in love!

Good start!

Finally on iPad

I’ve been using this app for a while at work and I’m so glad I can finally use it on my iPad.
