Ad misleading, weight loss recommendation laughable

The ad I was served showed someone taking a photo of food and HitMealCalorieFoodTracker displaying calories. Implausible that would work well, but if someone out there is making Hot Dog / Not Hot Dog from Silicon Valley, I wanted to see it. The two things I discovered were: 1. Nothing about HitMealCalorieFoodTracker appears to be photo-based. You just enter foods as in MyFitnessPal or any number of other apps. 2. I entered accurate biometric data, and HitMealCalorieFoodTracker recommended that I could lose 9# per week as a “moderate approach” but that if I wanted to get “intense” I could do 13. And the “moderate” approach had me losing that weight on 1900 calories a day, with me stating my activity level as the lowest setting. These recommendations are neither physiologically plausible nor advisable. I hope this is a bug and not the intended functionality - I even checked my profile in HitMealCalorieFoodTracker to make sure my data had been saved correctly. Maybe some issue on the back end is storing my 215 lb body weight as kg, and that’s screwing with the recommendations (?). In any case, there are far better apps out there for this purpose. I’d recommend MacroFactor.

Best calorie counter app!

I don’t usually write reviews but HitMealCalorieFoodTracker is so great that I really want to share my experience.
I tried many different calorie counters and most of them a very complicated. HitMeal is very well designed and very easy and intuitive to use. Much better then many other apps I tried like MyFitnessPal and others. Yet it has all the features I need. And the best part is that app is free at least at the moment. Would recommend this to everyone who cares about its diet and food.

Not for someone who needs to lose a lot

HitMealCalorieFoodTracker is unfortunately not made for someone like me who needs to lose a lot of weight. When I was entering in my information it only gave me two options to lose almost 100lbs in 8 or 10 weeks saying I needed to lose 10+ lbs per week. That is extremely unhealthy! I know HitMealCalorieFoodTracker is not meaning to suggest something so ridiculous, so I’m 100% sure it’s just meant for people who need to lose like 10-15 lbs. I hope they make some updates to include those who want to lose more weight in the right way but we’ll just have to see.

Too good to be true.

I downloaded HitMealCalorieFoodTracker and started putting in my info. When I got to the point where it claimed I could lose almost 50 pounds in 4-6 weeks, I deleted it. I have lost 5+ pounds a week before…after cancer surgery on my tongue when I couldn’t physically eat, and during radiation when little tasted good. No reputable service will suggest losing more than around 2 lbs a week. I’ll stick to my tried and true apps, even if I can’t take a picture and get the calorie count from foods. Oh, wait…other reviews say that HitMealCalorieFoodTracker can’t do that, either.

Misleading Ad!

The advert showed someone taking a photo of food and the calorie count being calculated. I was curious as to how accurate this might be, so I downloaded HitMealCalorieFoodTracker . I was surprised to find that that feature doesn’t even exist!

I could have forgiven if it wasn’t totally accurate, I mean how can a photo tell the difference between fat-free yoghurt and sour cream? But this ad was completely misleading. For that reason, I am deleting it, and warn the developers that in places like UK they could be forced to remove the ad, and even fined for misleading advertising.

Confusing

You should not charge this much for an app this simple that isn’t yet complete. I don’t know why these reviews say it’s free when it’s not. Plus the Instagram advertises that you can track your progress and make an avatar of sorts and you can’t do wither of those. I paid for a year so I hope they add these things.

Suggestion

I really like HitMealCalorieFoodTracker. It is a bit difficult to to figure out portions though as most are in grams and the ability to put in half portions would be nice too. Otherwise- HitMealCalorieFoodTracker is great for tracking calorie intake.

Do not download!!

HitMealCalorieFoodTracker is a complete fake. The ad is incredibly misleading as it leads you to believe that HitMealCalorieFoodTracker can track calories via pictures you take of food. This left a bad taste in my mouth and is really just annoying more than anything. What a waste of time! I hope this gets banned from HitMealCalorieFoodTracker Store!

So Far So Good But…

I like HitMealCalorieFoodTracker so far! It’s aesthetically pleasing and is easy to use for the most part. I just cannot figure out for the life of me how to update my weight and see my progress. Help!

Not okay

HitMealCalorieFoodTracker is generally good for keeping healthy and fit, but what is absolutely atrocious is that HitMealCalorieFoodTracker advertises fasting. Fasting is very unhealthy for your body and and for mental health. Starving yourself is not a good way to lose weight. It causes lack of necessary nutrients and lowers your metabolism. Absolutely horrible that HitMealCalorieFoodTracker is promoting eating disorders.

Love it!!

Already eating good and seeing weight lost. You should definitely try HitMealCalorieFoodTracker out, very helpful and motivating.

They well take your money

I tried HitMealCalorieFoodTracker and canceled it. It was not for me. Now I’m on the phone with apple support because I can’t download anything because it shows that I owe them 4.99. I have to pay for something I don’t want and then request a refund. They trap you into paying horrible app.

How do I change the Fasting window and daily caloric intake on this app? I paid for the yearly subscription and on day 2 of using this app, I am already an unhappy user......so frustrating.
