The projector gets loose all the time. They should leave the “moonlight” alignment bullseye at all times when you are reading the story. It only comes up when you start the story. What’s the use? It gets mis aligned easily and I have to exit the book to realign it. This is a very poor product. Also, if I want to change language, the projector is blocking the selection. It’s almost as if they don’t test their own products.

Received this as a Christmas present for my daughter and finally opened it. I was really disappointed that it’s just a projector. So I have read the stories myself while holding my phone staring at wall or the ceiling. Totally painful for someone with mobility issues. I’d rather just read my daughter a normal book.

Honestly this could be a great app/product but it was put together in a lazy and not thought out manner. Where the sound words are in the story always has spaces missing or added (see screenshot) and the sounds are either way too loud, so soft you can’t hear them, come in late, or are just poorly paired with the word itself. I wanted to love this for my girls.

My toddler loves this app and the new projector is grippier and looks like I’ll spend less time readjusting it.
However, as with the old app, it is hard to line up on my iPhone SE. On the old app, I figured out where to center it on the bullseye to make it work. However, there is no bullseye at all on the new app. I can make it work, but it means telling a very excited toddler to be a little more patient as I’m trying to make it work.

My kids love Moonlite! Except we downloaded 5 Mickey Books and they worked great and then all of a sudden they weren’t downloaded anymore and will not download back. It always says there was an issue downloading them?

My toddler loves when we read this app stories before bedtime. Once in awhile Moonlite would have issues where the light would keep shutting off (app issue, not my phone/camera light). But it’s generally ok. If you upgrade your iPhone, delete the this app app and reinstall it again. It will re-align the projector positioning to your new phone. I had to do the same for my iPhone 12 pro since it wasn’t aligned at first but now it’s fine. There’s some typos that need to be fixed (spaces between letters in words right before the sound effect words) but that’s just a minor compliant. My biggest issue is probably the projector itself as I don’t feel they last long, the foam padding around the lens area of mine is already smushed and distorted and I will need a new one. I feel they could do better for the quality on the projectors at least. But since my toddler enjoys it, I’ll rate this 4/5.

I have similar problems as all the other reviews- it’s difficult to align the projector over the flashlight, the projector moves out of place when I turn the reel, it’s expensive, etc. However, I don’t mind too much because the kids love it! It’s magical reading stories with the lights out and the pictures projected on the ceiling. My only real complaint is that there aren’t more stories to buy! There are only 20 or so story options.

My daughter loves this device! She calls them ceiling stories. I have gotten as gifts for others since it has been such a hit at our house. Just a few issues take away a star. I wish you could choose to turn off the background app music while reading. Also there are weird symbols and spacing issues near the circled parts that you click to make sounds. It makes it difficult to read at times.

My kids won’t go to sleep without me reading them a few stories, I can’t wait for more stories to be released 😊This was the cutest idea ever, it truly makes the stories come to life , I love it so much! ☺️

My family absolutely loves Moonlite, it really helps settle the little ones down with a calming music and looking at the light story on the ceiling. So glad we purchased the packs we did as it is part of our nighttime routine now.

I love the stories! I am also impressed with their customer service! I’ve had to ask for help with access codes, and they respond to my email right away. I can’t wait to share these stories with my grand babies!

Update: I didn’t remember registering an email before and used a different one after I installed the new app. Got back on the right account and was able to download my stories.

Yes, we have to align it, yes, it takes two hands at times, and yes it isn’t perfect.
My kids love it and so do the older kids in our life. It’s a fun way to turn the lights down and cuddle and read a story together. The kids that are reading age love to use it too. It is a good way to encourage reading and we enjoy making hand puppets and pointing to things on the wall/ceiling. We just adjust to make it work with our story time and night time routine.

I’ve been using this product to read stories to my lo for the past 4years. We received it as a gift and I’ve been adding reels to our collection. I like to take this on our travels so we don’t have to lug books around and still get to have nightly read.

My kids, 4 & 8 love Moonlite and stories. It’s great to use before bedtime or when they’re climbing the walls with energy. The gentle background music is nice and calming. Moonlite is steady and consistent. There’s a great variety of stories to choose from and customer service is great. They were able to answer my questions quickly and completely.

We love our this app! We read stories before bed and also use this app. Our kids love the stories and projections. They also love pressing the sound effect buttons as it brings the stories to life. Also, our experience with customer service has been great. We had a just a small snack in downloading Moonlite , but we got fast replies and help from someone that cared. Great addition to our story time.

There were some issues working with iPhone 11 Pro with the 3 lens camera. Now it works as it should and story time with my grandson is possible again. The projector alignment is not perfect on the phone and can easily go awry but if you’re mindful of that while turning the reel it should help quite a bit. Thankfully I had an old iPhone to use untill the problem was fixed!

He always looks forward to reading the books on the ceiling. It takes some getting used to with putting it on my iPhone X with case, but it works well once you get used to it. My only real gripe is the library is on the small side, but we have definitely got a lot of mileage on the stories we do have. All in all this is a great little product that we use almost every night.

Moonlite used to work on the iPhone 11. It hasn’t been updated to work with 12? iPhone 12 has been out a while, this is not keeping up. I have to manually put the projector hole on the flashlight which is kind of painful on the eyes. There’s no bullseye marker onscreen at all.

App works ok but a big part of the experience is ensuring you have a properly aligned projector. Moonlite does not seem to have it for the iPhone 12 Pro Max.
