I have 2 loans thru this app. I was paying way too much interest on credit cards so I got a debt consolidation loan. The money was in my account on the date of my choosing and I paid the cards off immediately. Now my interest is 1/3 of what it used to be, I’m well on my way to being debt free, and my credit score shot up to the low 800s.

One thing I wasn’t aware of is that if you pay your payment before you get your invoice and too early prior to due date, it counts as an “extra payment” and doesn’t count as your regular monthly payment. I called, reached customer service very quickly, and they got that applied towards my regular payment rather than having to make an additional payment. 👍🏻

Looks like all those job recs I saw last year for UX at Truist got filled! Nice little app - it’s quick, has nice UX, and does just what I need it to (what’s my loan balance? let me make an extra payment. etc.)

One small bug I encountered: after I scheduled an extra payment, the account summary page shows that my next payment is a different amount than the amount for the one I scheduled (e.g.: my normal monthly payment is 200 at the end of the month. I scheduled an extra payment of 100 to go out on 11/9. The account summary page shows that my next payment is 200 to go out on 11/9).

Nice job on LightStream overall. Now I don’t have to go to the website anymore.

No Touch/ Face ID integration...? This may be the single biggest reason to have an app. If I have to login manually, the experience of the mobile site is just better anyway. For example, account nicknames don’t register.

I am a this app customer and had previously used the website. I downloaded LightStream when availability and it is such a nice and easy to use app. Makes seeing my current status and making extra payments much easier. Can also update my address pretty easily. Great job!

So far it looks great. In some ways this is even better than the website which is already pretty slick. Only complaint is it doesn’t use the loan nicknames. I would prefer the nicknames I set for the loans instead of “new car purchase”. The ability to hide closed loans would be nice too.

I love that LightStream gives me the break down of every payment on the opening page! I can see what adding principal dies to my payment without finding a different screen once it’s set. I like dwindling debt balances so this makes me happy!

I took out a loan to buy a truck. Everything was fine until I tried to use this piece of garbage app to make a payment. You can’t! I have to go on my home computer, go to their website, login in, THEN I can schedule my payment. They are also ZERO help trying to get assistance with the waste it time app! No need to use unless you just want to see your general account information. Other than that, just wasting space on your phone.

LightStream redirected me to an update your password page which I did. It then redirected me to the login so I entered the info I just updated and now I’m completely locked out. The “updates” talk about new colors and schemes….I don’t give a $&!¥ about what color my accounts display as, I want to see, have access to and be able to interact with my accounts which is all predicated on being able to login through LightStream !

Its going to be very convenient to have mobile access my account without logging in through the web browser. Much appreciation to everyone who made this happen!

I am unable to use LightStream . When I open LightStream I’m presented with an error message that states my iPhone 11 Pro Max on iOS 14.3 is an “Unauthorized Device. For security reasons, we have disabled the usage of this application on this device.”

I searched online for the error but didn’t find any results. I also tried using the “App Support” link in LightStream ’s App Store listing but it just brought me to the website’s home page.

I would like to see face recognition added to make signing in faster, but for a freshly developed app this is great. It makes viewing my loan information quick and easy.

I downloaded LightStream to make keeping track of my loan easier. Unlike every other financial app this one asks for your password every time you login and does not remember it. The Face ID that the iPhone uses never works because you have to enter your password every time which is honestly a pain on a phone. Deleted LightStream and I’ll just use the computer.

New loan. Updated monthly automatic pmts on site. Everything correct. Got app and checked. App showed a one-time pmt for today (did not want) and monthly automatic pmts had not been updated. App needs a fix, ASAP. Also reported to this app via their site. Otherwise like LightStream ’s features and interface.

After being approved for a $10,000 loan over 2 years at 4.5% interest, I tried to amend my loan to $20,000 over 3 years per their recommendation. I was then declined. I have excellent credit, have never missed a payment, and am in the top 75% of income earners in The United States. I don’t take unreasonable declinations lightly, and will no longer be accepting $10,000 loan offer. This is a joke bank.

I tried entering my bank routing # and it kept giving me an error.

I called customer service and they told me since LightStream is new it has bugs and to try the website. The website worked perfect. Why release an app with bugs? What if I missed a payment cause of this error? Glad I caught it in time. Not cool.

This is a review of LightStream , not the service. How is it even possible that they have not implemented FaceID or TouchID for user login yet? It’s just inconceivable at this point.

Otherwise, LightStream works fine. It gets the job done. Add biometrics, and it’s a five star review all day long.

I wish it would allow me to make payments through different accounts whenever I want.

LightStream is truly awful. Pages load slowly, it is difficult to perform simple functions such as modifying a scheduled payment. Information isn’t arranged in a user friendly way. It’s hard to understand why this app rolled this out, it’s so far from being a viable tool let alone best in class.

I love this app. Great company. We have used them for a few years now. LightStream is very good. My only complaint is that I have to login every time. Can you please add Face ID?

Wow! LightStream just blew my mind! Amazing quality and a super slick UI. I LOVE IT and plan on taking out at least 6 loans just to use LightStream even more.
