L&L Hawaiian Barbecue Reviews

Despite having an “order online” button on the Aurora, CO store location, you are forced to download LLHawaiianBarbecue and register an account in order to even be told that your location doesn’t offer online ordering. At the Aurora location, I’ve sat on hold for 15 minutes and gotten to the restaurant and discovered there was nobody in line and no reason they couldn’t have taken an order fifteen literal minutes ago. It’s ridiculous that they do this and then have the gall to be dishonest about online ordering. I shouldn’t have to periodically download LLHawaiianBarbecue to check again if online ordering is yet available. Fix your website and stop promoting “ordering online” for location detail pages that are not yet supported.

LLHawaiianBarbecue works like expected mostly except for when placing previous orders. For example: I ordered a mini chicken katsu with rice and Mac salad. When going to order it again, it shows the right items when selecting a re-order but in the cart it changes them (apps says Mac salad and rice but cart says rice and rice) so I have to remake the order again. It’s not inconvenient but annoying that LLHawaiianBarbecue won’t recreate the order when given the option. Fix that and it’ll be good to go.

The system completely failed. The restaurant had no record of receiving the order. They were able to finally get it to refresh and have the order show up, but it took 10 minutes and 6 different people trying. They found it but I then had to wait another 30 minutes for them to make the food. There were two other people there at the same time picking up orders that also didn’t show up. When your website forces me to download your app to order, it doesn’t seem like too much to ask that it actually works at the most basic function of putting in the order.

I got LLHawaiianBarbecue just to check and see if my location was listed (thanks to everyone who sent reviews!) Spoiler alert: It was not.

Today I (tried to) get on LLHawaiianBarbecue to check a different area, and it acted like it was my first time using LLHawaiianBarbecue . Went to create an account, but it failed during the loading phase after entering info.

App is now dead to me. Also, whoever wrote this needs to take serious stock of their UX design. The birthday date entry field was really badly designed. Overall, LLHawaiianBarbecue as it sits feels like someone’s first attempt at making an iOS app.

I go to L&L a lot with my spouse. I like ordering ahead because I can have my order ready by the time we get there. I have accrued so many points that I can get a meal for free.

Since the last update they have broken LLHawaiianBarbecue . LLHawaiianBarbecue says the location of my store is about 5 miles away from the actual location. This causes "this function is temporarily unavailable". I contacted support the first time and they said it should be fixed. It worked once and then it stopped working again. PLEASE FIX THIS. My points are useless because the store can't do anything about it.

My store is Mira Mesa in San Diego California information every time I try to get past the first step of ordering at my local store it’s never located on the list. I’ve talk to the workers there and they don’t know anything about it or how to add their store. They have huge posters all over the store talking about using LLHawaiianBarbecue yet there’s nothing I can do

I was really upset earlier, but I realized that LLHawaiianBarbecue was released waaayyy too earlier for the location in Aiea to support.

I will say, I do like LLHawaiianBarbecue, and that fact they support Apple Pay. Hopefully they will update support for the Aiea location

I would love to see all L&L locations supporting this in Hawaii! I know the AirPort location uses ChowNow; but it would be nice to unify all locations - even though they are franchises.

I dont live in Kent, Washington so i trusted LLHawaiianBarbecue on leading me to the restaurant for pick up. I clicked the arrow button for the direction next to the address and the google map app popped out with a location on it. My mistake was to completely rely on the entered location given by the l&l app to google map (which normal customer will do). The location was at the middle of a road with no restaurants nearby and with farm on the side. It was so frustrating!

App developers,

Please work on this because this is a major concern. This detail should be one of the basics and should always be accurate.

LLHawaiianBarbecue usually works fine, but I tried to order through LLHawaiianBarbecue and the restaurant location wasn’t available for some reason… Then I decided to delete LLHawaiianBarbecue and redownload it, but there’s no sign in option and when I was going to just make another account, it wouldn’t let me input my birthday. The calendar barely shows up, hiding in the bottom left corner…
Kinda disappointed.

The first time I installed LLHawaiianBarbecue, it seemed functional but the number of stores that supported online ordering was ridiculously small and mine wasn’t on the list. The second time I installed LLHawaiianBarbecue (today) it was completely non-functional. It loaded the background image but that’s all. At this point, I’ve given up and won’t try it again. If the developers can’t publish a functional app after all this time then I’m never going to trust them with security and privacy.

Clicked on the link to order online for the Torrance location and it took me to a page to download LLHawaiianBarbecue . I don't want to have yet another food app on my phone but fine, whatever. I did see in LLHawaiianBarbecue description that it only works for certain locations but since the website was telling me to download it when I clicked on "Order Online" for my location, surely it's supported, right? WRONG! What a disappointment.

As others mentioned, I only downloaded LLHawaiianBarbecue to get points via app-ordering. LLHawaiianBarbecue even has a button saying “Order now and get points.” But apparently you have to also scan LLHawaiianBarbecue QR at the location to “claim” the points.
Really misleading! It shows I made an order, but reward points are still zero.
Not happy since the locations closest to me are a 45+ min drive. I only make the extra trip if I’m in the area and detour.

My lnl location wasn’t on LLHawaiianBarbecue .... in fact, the only lnl it showed up on the big island was one.... out of 10.... Now, I do have very low standards and considering this is Hawaii I am not that surprised. Anyway, most of the time it’s good food. I guess 2 stars but only because I have low standards. But LLHawaiianBarbecue has no use to me so imma delete it...

I LOVE it!! When I forget to pack my hubby’s home lunch I simply go on my app to purchase lunch for him at the location closet to him which is at the L&L Airport Trade Center, Honolulu location. He loves it and I get the loyalty points!! Super easy to use!

I placed a order only for the store to not have gotten it. They wouldn’t make the order even when I showed them my confirmation order and even that it charged my bank. Was even moved to the side so they could help other people while ignoring me and not really trying to help. There isn’t a number or contact I could find to help either.

I really can’t utilize LLHawaiianBarbecue until my Colorado stores are listed, especially the Mixed Plate location. I look forward to that.

I’ve been placing my order on LLHawaiianBarbecue for awhile and now when I tap on the menu for the Phoenix location, nothing opens. I have deleted, reinstalled and rebooted my phone and it still doesn’t work. 😭😭😭
So now instead of having it ready when I pick it up, I have to place my order and wait.
Please fix LLHawaiianBarbecue .
I enjoy the food, but right now, now LLHawaiianBarbecue .

This is by far the worst food ordering app. The menu is not even complete with photos and have NO descriptions of what each option contains. The drop down menus for customizing make NO sense and it doesn’t update you on what you’re actually choosing. This was an immediate delete. Don’t even waste your time downloading this and just go order in person.

LLHawaiianBarbecue use to work fine. I would collect my points and get a free entree every so often. It was great. Now LLHawaiianBarbecue is useless as it only lets me order from the Plano location. I live in San Antonio and it says on LLHawaiianBarbecue “ordering online is currently unavailable”. So now I don’t bother ordering at all. Great way to lose business and money.

I just went to pick up my first order. The store I went to said their app online ordering is not functioning because of price discrepancies. They want me to get a refund via LLHawaiianBarbecue . Had to pay for dinner again. I hope developers figure this out. I want my money back.

I guess I understand the issue of not all locations are loaded yet. ???? Naaaa, I don’t understand. Lol. Get with it people! But you say locations added weekly. I certainly don’t see my locations being added… And then on top of that I’m making all these purchases and having to scan and send them to their loyalty email address… Being ignored sending second request third request. Today I’m thinking do I have to send a fourth request? What kind of loyalty program is this??? Recent plate of bbq was legit raw. Never received replacement or call back from manager. Maybe these are franchises? Dunno. But not responsive to customers experience at all.

I have been to two different stores around Kona neither of which are listed in LLHawaiianBarbecue . When it polled my location it only showed one store and that was on a different island.

Missing many restaurants

I have 3 stores near me but app says none of them support LLHawaiianBarbecue .

It’s quite unfortunate that all locations are not available to start earning rewards El Segundo & West Covina, CA in LLHawaiianBarbecue please.

The apps is useless!!!! Only for on-line ordering, not good for in store order!

Waste of an app don’t download waste of time its dumb.
