Unnavigable

I’ve used worse apps, sure, but the reason I use an app is for groceries is to ease the hassle of grocery shopping, which InglesMarkets does not do.
It’s clunky to use, please hire someone who can at least make it at least a smidgeon easier to navigate. You’ve got the perfect theme of being a grocery store, which usually solves a lot of UI questions that seems to have not even been asked when making InglesMarkets. And I’m sure there’s an easy way a proper programmer could get your search to function without so much finagling by the customer.

And the biggest thing that drops this down to one star is it doesn’t save your card info properly. It doesn’t save it at all for the next time you wanna use it; no that is not even what I’m talking about. I actually don’t mind that.
I mean, if you go out of the prompt of putting in your card info, it will sometimes either be wrong from what you typed, or just not be put in at all. So you click to send your order in and it tell you it’s the wrong CVV or wrong address or whatever it feels like changing back to default.
If I wanna get groceries with less hassle, I also do not want to have to worry about calling my bank when it thinks it’s fraud, after InglesMarkets spit back my attempt to give them money one too many times, due to developer incompetence.

Loyal customer here - App is TERRIBLE!!!

I’ve been a loyal Ingles customer for 50 years - starting at the original #1 store on H’ville Rd with my Dad. And I’ve continued to be loyal despite everyone I know telling me they had to stop shopping there because they’re just too expensive - more expensive than most other local markets. Which is true. But it’s my “hometown store”, and I get lots of gas discounts so I figured it balances out.

I got my sales flyer via email this morning. Went to my app to try to place a curbside order. NOTE: The front screen says FREE PICK UP. I found the items I was looking for. But the only option was “Add to List”. Confusing. That makes it sound like “Add To Favorites”. It took me awhile to figure out they actually meant “Add to CART”, like every other app. Poor programming. Strike 1.

I began adding items to my cart. I shop there ALL the time so I know the prices of my regular items. I noticed they were all more expensive via InglesMarkets . Strike 2. But Ok. So I’m paying a little extra for someone to shop for me - I guess I can live with that. But won’t use this pick up feature often.

Then I get to checkout. Not happy with the payment options. If you do some research, you’ll find so many places offer PayPal, Affirm and others, which allows people to “Order Now-Pay Later”. None of those are available here. Only credit cards. Strike 3.

After all of this annoyance to try to place an order. I get to the final total. My order totaled $55. But then there was an additional charge added of $4.95 for “Pick Up Fee”. Despite the fact that my order was over $35. Strike 4!! Come on guys!!

All the local markets want customers to choose them over the “big box stores”. If you truly want that, you have to do better.

I deleted my order and I’ll go out today and do my shopping where the prices better fit my budget.

Deleting InglesMarkets . So disappointed

Terrible app

Problem 1: why can’t I save CC info in InglesMarkets so I don’t have to enter it every time? Or at least let me use PayPal? I’m shopping here every week using curbside pickup and it is SO frustrating to have to enter it every time. Problem 2: you cannot search for items in the “Browse” tab because they won’t show up. But they do under the “discover” tab, which is counterintuitive. Problem 3: whenever I search for one item from the “Discover” tab, then I select the search bar to search for another item, it somehow searches under the “browse” tab and inevitably the item won’t come up. It’s the absolute stupidest feature ever. Please just remove whatever “browse” is.

Misleading Lacks Functionality

Thought was getting an app could search for items and in store location of said items. However, renaming “Ingles Pick Up Only” might better serve.

A preference for most hands on, in store shoppers no doubt would appreciate will be adding functionality so we can actually know what’s in stock and where located for those who wish to shop for themselves. QR scanners are helpful and useful. Kroger, Publix, Walmart, Costco, Sam’s, BJ’s, Sprouts etc all offer full service including pick up through their apps so the tech exists.

For now no Ingles app for me. Will sometimes continue to shop there though it is a distant drive for me. Best of luck. Continued success. And please work on that app. Thanks

Mediocre

InglesMarkets works but it is not as tech savvy as some of the other online order portals. It doesn’t save my information (card number, address, etc) for future orders, which is a pain. It also doesn’t have a good search function. You have to search for the exact item to find things and spelling has to be precise. Otherwise InglesMarkets can’t find the item. Other portals have smarter search functions that will find the item and other similar items within a single search. InglesMarkets also doesn’t have up to date item availability so you never know if your item is out of stock until pickup time.

Needs a lot of improvement

I love the service itself, but InglesMarkets is unbearable. It is impossible to narrow down categories beyond the main ones, so I have to scroll through every single offering in pantry or frozen food or household or whatever to hopefully find what I want. The search feature is broken as every single item I search for (coffee, for example) comes up as no results found. Under the Reorder tab, I can access past orders but instead of being able to see the items to choose what to reorder InglesMarkets tries to add every item to my list again and check out.

Little hiccups

InglesMarkets is pretty good, but I have two issues with it.
To pay for a pickup order, I have to manually enter a card every single time. I wish there was a way to save my previous payment. When I do enter the card, for some reason it then changes the expiration date that I entered to 11/25 every time I put my order in so it wouldn’t take my card. Then when I go back to reenter the correct date, it erases every other piece of information so I have to essentially enter my card and address information 3 times every time I make an order.
My other issue is that I have to look up very precise words to find what I’m looking for, for instance if I search “Mac n cheese, it will only bring up premade microwaveable Mac n cheese and kraft brand. If I want velveeta Mac n cheese I have to search velveeta specifically.

Needs some work.

I like that you can search for items and see what aisle they are on in the store. What I don’t like is the security features of InglesMarkets. There needs to be ways to change your account information within InglesMarkets . To change your email, password, and payment methods. It would be more secure if you could add 2 factor authentication to your app. I want my information kept safe and private, especially my financial information and I think it would be more secure if these features were added.

Grocery List?

It works. But compared to the Publix app, this one leaves much to be desired. The Ingles app presumes you want to submit your “list” to be purchased and for you to pickup your groceries. I’d much rather have the option to check off my items as I shop in the actual store. Also, the store ailes are not in order so I have to constantly scroll up and back to find things. Many items are not really in the store. My first use had the first three items nowhere to be found. Please upgrade your app!

Needs improvements

Overall InglesMarkets is great but there are 3 issues that I run into consistently. First, if you accidentally type something by one letter, nothing comes up on the search. Every other shopping app I use will allow you to select the most likely option from the drop down menu (similar to a Google search for example) while this one does not. Second, you can search for certain things by brand name. Chef boy r dee for example. It took me forever to find it because I have to search canned pasta. Third, there is no option to save a card on InglesMarkets so you have to manually enter one every time. And again, if you mistype one letter or number, you have to start completely over instead of just fixing the error.

Could be perfect

My local Ingles is the best store in town. Free fruit table for kids, excellent produce, the nicest staff, and much more make it my favorite place to shop. I would never order from any other store if y’all would fix two things on InglesMarkets. One, when typing in words you have to spell thing exactly as they are spelled or InglesMarkets won’t find them. So typos and not knowing the exact name of an item is very annoying. Two, allow customers to save their credit card info. I only order from other stores when I don’t have access to my card, like when I’m at work.

I LOVE THIS NEW SERVICE!!

I’ve been hoping for over a year that my Ingles store would offer curbside and FINALLY!!! It’s the easiest way to buy groceries and my store #457 Griffin GA has the greatest employees running this service. I’ve had so much help from them and even the manager went out of his way to help me find a product that I couldn’t find on InglesMarkets . If you haven’t tried curbside, you don’t know what you’re missing. Try it and I promise, your never go back in the store again!! Thanks Ingles…

Works Perfectly

Love InglesMarkets and the deals that Ingles does with the pick up option. I’ve been able to get extra points online as well as on Fridays for cheap gas. The prices are the same in store and with free pick up, this has been a no brainer to save money. If I had only one wish, it would be for an in store payment option that would ring up as online grocery for my credit card, but other than that I’ve loved using InglesMarkets.

Wow

I’m typically not one to take the time to write a review, however, I feel as though I owe it to a Ingles and their expertise in being able to set up a concise quick and efficient method of online grocery order and pick up. Instead of paying a delivery fee stock fee, and other hidden fees through DoorDash or Uber, or even Instacart, Ingles has set up their own system that offers the ease and accessibility, I, as a working, professional, and mom crave.

Not very user friendly

InglesMarkets takes some getting use to. It isn’t very user friendly if you are trying to get a complete grocery order done. I’m sure it’s ok if you only want to get a couple of items.

For instance if you type in Apple’s you would think you would only get the fruit but instead you get everything that is apple flavored/ scented and the fruit. So you then have to scroll through everything to get to the fruit you are looking for. It’s just something I think could be better.

I don’t use curbside…

I shop at store 414, and they don’t offer curbside. That’s ok with me though, because I prefer to do my own grocery shopping. I consider it a form of exercise for me! What would be a good enhancement to InglesMarkets would be an in store grocery shopping list that tells you what isle the item is in! Other grocery stores have that feature and I absolutely love it. I like Ingle’s stores better though because of the quality of the produce, veggie & meats! Please add this feature and make my store available to shop at even though they don’t offer curbside. Thanks!

So convenient and timesaver

I love this service. I'm so grateful they have it. I'm not a big fan of going into grocery stores. This makes it convenient and a timesaver and I am very grateful to all the nice shoppers that take time to text or call with any questions to be sure they get the right item and to everyone at Ingles. I love shopping at Ingles. The prices are great selections. Great my only complaint is the search engine some items take five times if you don't spell it 100% accurate or word it exactly as it is on the item like baggies sandwich, bags, etc. so that takes time other than the search engine I love it thank you

Great team at my store

I can’t say enough good about Bill & Kris at the Skyland store- they do my curbside shopping for me & have been for over 2 years now. They care about the choices they make & are always very accommodating about substitutions for items not available. This service has been so helpful to me as I take care of my 95 year old mother & try to be careful about exposure to illnesses so I’m not taking anything to her that could make her ill.

Great Customer Service

I have been using curbside for a few months now and can say that it is SO MUCH BETTER than Walmart!! They listen to your request and check produce for spoiling, just like I would in the store. They text or call if they run into an issue so they can get what you want.
They are fabulous. Yes, Ingles may be a little higher, but their quality and customer service make it worth it!

Difficult to enter pmt info

Hard to enter payment info, if number is wrong you need to re-do your entire name etc. for some reason it did not like my number so I had to input all my personal info 4 x. Also, no place to put your ingles card number on InglesMarkets . I previously did curbside so no idea if this info was saved or what. Search did not work well if you used a brand name, search needs some help as looking through a lot of soups in no fun when you know they only have 3 of the brand you like. But I amimpressed with the fact you have inventory on there. Hard to tell if tuna in water or oil without. Opening which is tedious
