Originally rated this as two stars mostly for lack of features, a poor app experience, glitches, and overall “cheap” vibe. Now downgrading to one star because for weeks now external transfers have failed, trapping my money in this app.

External transfers simply won’t work - I missed paying my mortgage because of this. Customer service has been polite but nobody can find out what’s wrong. They’ve wasted two weeks trying to fix this without any success. Just a bunch of apologies. They then suggested I use Zelle to get money out. I don’t feel I should need to use Zelle to access my money plus they only allow $500 a day to be moved with Zelle for new accounts. But I tried this anyway because I’m desperate and unfortunately even now my Zelle access is blocked without any explanation. I had to call to even confirm that’s what happened. Horrible experience overall. Thankfully I didn’t deposit more than I did or I would be truly screwed because this garbage bank.

I recently opened an account with Ally and it’s night and day between the two. Ally has been amazing, try them out instead of this trash bank.

On the surface it’s pretty straightforward: simple checking/savings accounts! But the subtle features are what set this apart. Cool looking debit card, transaction details that I can actually understand, seeing activity from other accounts, and categories to track where my money is going. Can definitely see myself using this as my main banking app.

You guys have a good thing but need to lay out your app easier for customers this is really hard to navigate and you don’t give a debit card virtually right away and says nothing when cards going to be shipped. Also it’s really hard looking for customer service it’s taken me a half hour and I still can’t find an email address for u guys. This idea y’all have could go far if you just fix your app and have your customer service more accessible

I opened an account hoping to deposit a large sum by check and take advantage of their great interest rate. However, the ONLY method to deposit the sum was to mail the check. However, I could not risk it getting lost in the mail. After communications by email and phone, it was confirmed that this bank has zero ability to accept large amounts other than by mail. Major fail. I want to do business with you, but you don’t offer a basic method to take my money.

They don't have the old school form of putting your account and routing number to link accounts. They make you use this system which is faulty and some banks aren't compatible. Then when you finally link it, it still doesn't show up. Tried everything deleting Monifi , wifi, cell phone service, yes I'm up to date on software and customer service couldn't do any more for me besides suggestions bc it's self service. Monifi needs a revamp.

I’ve been using this app to create savings goals and have recurring transfers enabled. It’s very simple to set up. The interest rate is also very good compared to brick and mortar bank’s savings accounts. Monifi is a little slow, but it’s very secure which I like.

I love seeing my purchases and transactions here with a cool logo. It makes it so much easier to track and manage my spending when I can see quickly where and what I purchased.

Pleasantly surprised by the professionalism and speed in which you guys do business. You have renewed my faith in the banking system. Thanks for your help and encouragement.

App is okay, however the banking experience isn’t. this app withholds your transfers for long periods of time in an age where Chase offers 1 day ACHs for free. No option to link this to Mint either. Would advise using this as a primary checking account as you will miss payments because of this. Only thing decent is the APY on the savings account.

I provided my correct document, SSN and selfie. But the system denied my application saying it is not verifiable. I called a personal banker and I was told my info is incorrect even though they didn’t check. This is completely unlawful. You denied my application because I am not a US citizen and submitted my passport as my ID proof. This discrimination based on national origin is illegal and I will take it up with the authorities.

I really like how you can ask about your spending habits! I’ve linked in my external accounts and got confirmation that I’m addicted to coffee. 😁

Monifi sets standard when it come to financial planning!!

I get my direct deposit into it, pay my bills, and it sends a paper check for my rent.

Unless I’m missing something very basic,After down loading on my iPhone 12 with updated iOS Monifi won’t even open. It says an error occurred or something like that. Delete it and re-download it, same issue. Doesn’t bode too well for a banking app.

Horrible customer service. I opened a checking account on Monifi . The very next day, it would not allow me to login and said my customer ID was not recognized. I called customer service and was told that my account was being closed. They would not tell me the reason for closure. Waste of time and Chex.

Monifi is pretty average but their business practices are very shady. They approve new applications and within weeks, close the account marking them as fraud absolute for no reason. No exact reason was given other than stating: for business purposes. Stay alert and stay away!

I have already hit some of my savings goals thanks to this app and earn 0.50% whilst I save.

The goals feature is great. Achieving a specific goal helps me save $$$

Bank will close your account without warning or notification and there’s no way to contact them. I had like $5 to $10 left in there, they basically stole my money with no explanation

I deposited a check to my this app account my parents gave me for my birthday and upon clearing it, this app promptly closed my account. No explanation, check was good, and it took them TWO MONTHS beyond that date to return me a check. Don’t use this horrendous app!

The this app app allows to set savings goals and helps me save for larger expenses or things I want in the future. It also helps me be more ultra aware of how much I’m spending and where. Very cool!

I been trying to get access to my account and nothing I tried emailing customer service and no help I called the bank and I get a machine I’m struggling and without access to my account any information I can use pls help

Careful not to do business with Monifi it is a clone of Another bank app . As soon as you make a deposit they log you out and never respond . They don’t appear on the list on linked banks in the secure link your account platform . SCAM! SCAM!

They hold funds after the merchant releases them. Also pay check shows up late a day to 2 days after my payday. Will be getting attorney general’s office involved

I downloaded Monifi now and it keeps telling me my device does not meet the minimum security requirements
