Before the latest update, you had to establish special mobile login credentials; basically one login for the desktop and one for the mobile app. With the latest update, you use the same credentials as the desktop website and if using TrustcoBank for the first time, you'll get a two-factor authentication (2FA) code sent to your phone. It would be preferable to allow use of an authentication app outside of a phone as the phone could be lost or the number hijacked. Never the less, both the website and app are a step up.
