I wanted to pay my Erie premium and tried to paste my 16-digit account #, but your app is broken and I couldn’t do it. If the inability to paste in your app is by design, that is poor design. Then ErieInsurance defaults to the full keyboard instead of a 10-digit keypad, which has larger keys and you’re less apt to mistype with the big numbers.
I wanted to send you a support ticket instead of blasting my displeasure in a public forum but when I tapped App Support from the store it took me to the Erie home page, not app support. Now I’m doubly irritated, but at least my bill is paid. Hope I didn’t use someone else’s acct via typo 🤷🏻‍♀️.

Being able to make a payment, having ID cards that you can print/text/email, seeing your coverage Dec pages, checking your claim status, your payment history and future payments are all wonderful! Only thing better would be able to submit a claim with photos thru ErieInsurance . Please offer that. Also having a live chat option while in ErieInsurance .

I’m a new customer of Erie, so I went looking for ErieInsurance . Obviously I found it. But now I have to go find a computer because the register a new account link is dead. It’s a good thing I have a laptop.

ErieInsurance is basic and great for fetching information quickly, but it doesn’t adhere to many iOS design standards. Password managers (like LastPass) don’t work. I have a balance but can’t do anything through ErieInsurance . Back buttons should always allow you to tap on their corresponding text, but they don’t. Billing documents only shows “feature not available.”

For this little amount of functionality, I’d rather it just give me the option to add cards to Wallet. Which is something that it really should offer.

Every single time I want to log into ErieInsurance to look at my bill or anything else, it tells me incorrect password.
Then half of them time it says it will send me an email to change my password but it never does.
I have to create an online account every time.
I am not forgetting my pw. It will allow me to use it once to log in and then it makes me complete an account to get back in.

Update since your auto response:
I uninstalled and reinstalled your app and still have the same issue. We appreciate the great auto insurance rate (not so much the homeowners) but it is pretty ridiculous how bad you are with technology. I would rather pay higher insurance premium and be able to log into my insurance app then deal with what you offer.

I read the above review about the white screen. I had the same experience but I waited and waited and waited. It took a long time just in a blank white screen mode (about one minute) before the log in screen comes up. After that it is smooth sailing. Glad to have an app right at your finger tips.

The initial login screen is badly mis-aligned. You can’t see what you’re typing. Also, it is not in landscape mode on the iPad. After several failed tries I managed to log in by typing the login information “blindly.”

Please make the iPad version work in landscape mode. I have an iPad with a keyboard and always use it in landscape mode, somewhat like a laptop computer. Thanks.

I spoke with customer service in January 2022. I was advised that ErieInsurance “has insurance ID cards” as one of its features. I question that saying that I had just read reviews that said otherwise. The rep assured me that the ID cards were available. That is not true. What a strange app not to have such a basic and important component available!

This is a good start but is missing roadside assistance which is the main reason to have an insurance app on your phone. I should be able to hit a button and be connected directly to roadside assistance. With location services enabled, they would have my location and car information.

On my iPhone, facial recognition works sporadically. I recently had a spinning arrow in a circle that I could only eliminate with a cold restart.

On my iPad, I get the “time expired” message with no way to clear it. Touching the Home Screen, as invited, only throws me back to the time message or kicks me out of ErieInsurance .

This is among the most incompetently coded and useless apps that I have ever seen.

I’ve enjoyed years of great service with Erie. Sadly, I can’t say the same for ErieInsurance . Look at it the wrong way and it’ll crash.

Since the latest update 3 days ago ErieInsurance stopped working. Absolute CRAP!!

Update: I deleted and then reinstalled ErieInsurance and it is working now. Thanks for your response

All I get is a white screen after entering log in info. Even reinstalling app won’t fix it

So easy to view my billing and make payments. It’s also nice to have your ID cards whenever you need them 😁

I use apps for all my household accounts and credit cards to check balances and pay bills, so I downloaded ErieInsurance thinking it would be useful.... wrong! The only available policy to view or pay is a homeowner policy and nothing else! C’mon Erie, get with the times and make ErieInsurance work for all policies!

All it needs is apple wallet support for i.d cards and you will have my 5 star rating!

App does not show up on Home Screen on my iPhone 7 Plus have to open through App Store even then only Erie insurance logo comes up never allows access to features of app. My phone is fully updated.

Erie insurance app does not open. Waited over two minutes at the start-up screen, nothing happened.

UPDATE: with the latest update, it now throws an immediate error message: “unable to open, please contact your systems administrator”

Ever since the latest update, app won’t open. Shows the blue Erie logo screen but won’t progress beyond that. Also cannot find way to contact the developer to get fixed. Takes me to the insurance company site.

Does not seem to work on my iPad Pro, which is what I use most of the time, so not very helpful to me. 😕 Works ok on my iPhone X.
