I don’t understand why we are on cohort 11, I have had Altro for over 3 months and I have been waiting for cohort 11 for about 2 months. I know it’s none of my business but whoever credit that bad should just try to fix it through some other platform because, they are making it worse for people. I’m trying to give my credit a little nudge to get even better but, it hasn’t left off cohort 11 for 2 and a half months it’s OKAY to leave that person out; I promise they strangler is really hurting the time some people want to buy a house, car, boat, even get a personal loan and this could help people but people are I downloading Altro because of the wait time. I’m not here to insult or just complain without trying to fix it so here the idea, the people who has the worst credit problem that is causing a hiccup pull them to the side and help them 1 at a later time or 2 push them to a “specialty cohort”. This would be beneficial to everyone I do not want to keep updating and waiting on Altro . I just want to see it move faster! Thank you if you decide to use my opinion to help.

I’ve had Altro for over 6 months now, I haven’t seen any credit reporting on my rental payments at all. I have been trying to make a payment on the credit card that is used to report my subscriptions through Altro for over a week now and it doesn’t work. The only response I received was to switch my subscriptions back to my regular card until they fixed the system. My due date for my payment has passed and I still can’t make a payment. Tried to follow up on the status of the fix and haven’t received a refund. This entire process has not been what was initially described when this was rolled out. Update: Still haven’t been able to make a payment for my subscriptions, rental reporting completely stopped as soon as it started. Every time I contact support they say they are working on the glitch, it’s been months since I first contacted them and it’s still not fixed. Can’t link my bank account anymore. I’m trying to pay my balance but can’t. This is ridiculous.

I have been having problems with perch for weeks with no solutions. First my bank account unlinked, then my account reporting my rent automatically closed on my credit report reducing my credit age and dropping my score haven’t been able to make any payments now here my balance is $60 on my subscriptions card and it’s prompting me to get a whole new card which I can’t to bc I still can’t link my bank account and I still owe a balance that I can’t pay ! Customer support has been no help either not responding for week or when they do respond they are all “having their team look into it” all the while my credit scores are at risk of dropping more and more bc it’s going to look as if I’m missing payments !! THIS IS RIDICULOUS!!! Not to mention all my subscriptions are on this one card that I will have to change now ! This is not good credit is serious and perch is just playing with people credit with no answers or updates

I really enjoy using Perch. Yes, there may be a little wait as Altro is probably blowing up right now and they’re allowing different cohorts in every day. However, once you have access it is so worth it!! I love that Perch offers courses to read through in regards to various financial topics. I love the fact that you can build credit by paying your rent/mortgage and/or other recurring expenses. I think that Perch has a lot to offer and definitely will help so many with financial literacy and getting into better situations. Really glad I joined. Also the support team is super responsive and extremely helpful!! Love the fact that you don’t have to wait dayssss on end for a response if you need help. Way to go Perch!! 😊

Waited for Weeks to be allowed to sign up. Once I did, it asked me for so my info. Started using Altro , but the credit report feature wasn’t working yet. The feature for checking your bank to use subscriptions for credit reporting wasn’t available in my state yet. So I basically waiting for nothing. I can’t use the service or Altro . The text in the UI had some issues with spacing and size. I was starting to get a little concerned of this was legit after putting in personal and financial info. I feel like I’m testing the software/service instead of actually using it, but I can’t even do that yet. I’m might delete my account for now until the service has more time to roll out and develop itself and not have a testing phase and see if it’s worth it.

I am unsure of what has happened with the company. I sincerely love the purpose of Altro , and the customer service reps were amazing! Many issues occurred and just as it seemed to be on the right track to being resolved: total silence. I hope that an explanation will be given or something soon. I’d hate for something so great to disappear completely.

NEW ADDITION:

Altro is absolutely terrible. Don’t waste your time. I’d been having problems with it, and now today, it has just completely deleted my account and I have to now “join a new cohort”. Terrible management and customer service. I’m so disappointed. Again, don’t waste your time with Altro.

OLD COMMENT:
I’ve used Altro and it’s helped me, but once I moved and changed addresses, it “closed” my account and my credit score went down 90 points. Then I reentered my new lease agreement and info to get it back on track, been waiting weeks while it’s in review, then tried to log on today to check the status and the rent reporting option is completely gone and the “subscription card” is the only thing available. Then of course when I try to link my bank account to set up the subscription card, it won’t work. Tried contacting support, no one is available. I’m really disappointed because I really enjoyed Altro, but seems like it’s becoming very buggy and not useful. Would love to continue using it, but if this continues, will have to say goodbye to it.

Especially with what you guys are doing, it’s pretty great. You need credit to get credit but you can’t get credit to have credit. By being able to use what you actually pay each month to build credit that’s how is should be done to build credit. It makes the transition from no credit to needing a loan so much easier since we can build credit through what we already pay. Thank you!

I was hoping Perch Credit Card for subscriptions would make life a little more easier but it’s been the complete opposite. Altro is horrible, I got charged twice one time for making a payment and now I’ve been trying to pay my balance for almost 2 months now. Can’t connect my bank and every time I contact customer support, they say they’ll look into or let me know when the bug is fixed. So now I just use my net spend card, since I can’t even pay off the balance I owe Perch so that my subscriptions can be renewed another month! I guess whenever Altro is improved, I can finally pay them back the freaking $60 I owe them and DELETE it!

I LOVE Altro! I promise it is WELL WORTH the wait. The customer service is absolutely amazing. Great team, very very kind and for me, they went above and beyond to help me and even get to know me! I’ve been trying very hard to build my credit and Altro helps so much. Convenient, fast, and the customer service is great with getting back to you in a timely manner. I can’t say enough good about Altro! If your looking to build your credit, this is Altro to do it!

I had no clue that I could report my subscriptions AND rent to help build my credit. They also have a financial literacy section where I can learn more about all things finance, which is something that has been super helpful to me as a college student. Huge shoutout to this amazing team for building a platform that can help so many people with their credit! Can’t wait to see what else they have in store for us.

If you don’t come from money, it’s almost impossible to get a loan, a credit card, a home etc etc. Without those you won’t have a good credit score but without a good credit score, banks won’t give you a loan or even a credit card. Perch comes up with brilliant ways to work up your credit score and helps level the field. Great mission, great team, great work!

Altro is completely broken. Keeps asking me to accept the terms of the credit line although I've already accepted multiple times, and had the option to add subscriptions, but now I can no longer add subscriptions. No longer responds when accepting the terms. You can't actually scroll the window showing the PDF of the terms. Altro settings shows there is an option for FaceID but the setting doesn't actually exist. I realize the service was likely just acquired by a larger company or investors, but the service is non-functional.

I appreciate that I can build my credit score from the ground up using Altro. This really helps me (a college student) establish a decent credit score without needing too much money or having to accumulate large amounts of credit. There is a bit of a wait time to get going on Altro , but I’m excited to get started when I do.

I saw an ad like 2 years ago for perch that it would help you fix your credit by you paying your bills and subscriptions. Well they give you a subscription card with $75 on to pay for your subscriptions and try out new subscriptions but the card doesn’t work. I’m unable to pay or try any new subscriptions because the company’s doesn’t allow pre-paid cards. So what’s Altro and card really good for? And you email customer service and it takes all day to go back and forth with no direct answers to your questions.

UPDATE #3 The Twitter account for Perch hasn’t had any activity since August, 3 months ago. No one responded to the emails and messages I have sent for most of the year.

I honestly have been waiting for over nine months I think in cohort 11 and now from reading some of these reviews I see that they have moved past cohort 11, yet I’m still stuck at 11? I was fine waiting but now I don’t think it’s gonna be worth it. I’ll keep itJust to see what’s going on and if I ever get moved up but I doubt I will ever actually use it.

Cant wait for Altro to fully launch since Ive been looking for something to manage my credit. Love the idea of it and could really see myself using it when it comes out. So far Altro design is really clean and easy to use and I look forward to new features they add.

I downloaded Altro at the suggestion of a friend and it’s been a complete game changer. I have always run into obstacles applying for a line of credit, but with Perch I’ve been able to finance my dream car! 10/10 would recommend to anyone who doesn’t have an established credit score!

I’ve waited going on 5 months now for cohort 12 to go live. Reading through some of the reviews, looks like it has, however I have still been unable to access it and it keeps telling me it is still on cohort 11 and my patience is appreciated. Literally saw Altro change on a weekly basis from cohort 4 until 11 and now it’s at a stand still. Would love to give Altro an actual rating, but seeing as I can’t use it I am unable. Once my cohort does go live, if it ever does, I will change my review to reflect that.

As someone who is just starting to build credit, this is an amazing tool. So happy I found it. It’s super simple to use and amazing support team who help with all questions. The best thing about perch is I’m building credit while I pay for the things I already use. :)

Honestly been looking for a way to build my credit that doesn’t involve me going into more debt & it helps that this is completely free. I’m pumped and can’t wait for it to be time for my cohort to be let on!

Altro is not only easy to use, but very informative! As someone hesitant to deal with credit, Altro quelled a lot of my fears and stands out when compared to other credit information apps.

Customer service was immediately helping me when I was having a trouble getting into my account. Great tool for those needing to build their credit!

I had no idea how easy it was to build credit! Perch makes it super easy to do. The user interface isn’t complicated at all, and it’s an app the EVERY college student needs right now!
