App doesn’t work - not sure why OTP is mandatory

Though this is mandated by Indian Govt for travelers, they haven’t thought about citizens who are in US with no roaming facility (which will be majority) or foreign nationals who go to India with their non US number (even with roaming facilty).
This app could have been designed purely based on Bluetooth capability as sim has nothing to do with this. It could have been a good solution if enabled for multiple devices person would have (laptop, tablet, phone, other Bluetooth devices etc). Defeats the whole purpose.
No support for non Indian numbers

You are supposed to have this app when you’re traveling to India but it doesn’t allow non Indian phone numbers to register so it’s useless. What’s the point of making it mandatory for people traveling to India to download this app when it doesn’t even work if you don’t have an Indian phone number? Not everyone traveling to India has a prior Indian phone number

I downloaded this app inspite of the privacy issues not because I wanted too but because I am forced too.
That being said I have multiple times to get an OTP after inputting my mobile no. Just got it once.
Even that after I activated the app after week or so of inactivity I started giving me an eerie message. I retried multiple times but have not been able to get my OTP.
