I’m a tourist from USA and I installed al hosn app upon arrival at Abu Dhabi airport. I have submitted my 2-dose vaccine certification (pfeizer from USA) and got a negative PCR test result at the airport. ALHOSNUAE shows both my vaccine and PCR test result but it reminded grey the entire time of my stay at Abu Dhabi for 28 days. I called the 800 number multiple times but didn’t get any real-person answer ( it’s a machine answer) . I went to the al hosn website, I asked the guards at the mall who refused to let me in due to my grey status. Nobody can explain why I remained grey even though I have my vaccine and negative PCR test result every week ( 4 tests since my arrival). It’s not user friendly . I didn’t receive any help with ALHOSNUAE during my stay at Abu Dhabi and cannot go inside the malls or restaurants. Very frustrating situation.

After taking two doses of the vaccine, ALHOSNUAE only reflects one shot. I’ve called on multiple occasions however they put blame on other health authorities however the other health authorities have issued correct vaccination certificates. I’ve spent my hard earned money on PCR tests to enable myself to go to Abu Dhabi however cancel because the Al Hosn app won’t turn green. Why implement a system for all of Abu Dhabi if the system is incorrect. Get the bugs fixed before hastily implementing ALHOSNUAE. Extremely frustrating. The UAE economy is missing out from people not being able to attend events when proper precautions are taken by the users however ALHOSNUAE doesn’t reflect reality. ALHOSNUAE will show I’ve had a recent PCR but guess what…still gray.

Been trying for 3 days to get ALHOSNUAE to accept my phone number. I’ve inputted the Unified ID I got at the airport and my cell number. Says input the one time password. Never showed up regardless if I had WiFi on or off, cell data on or off, and cell roaming on an off. I know my phone is working because I’m getting texts from the USA but I haven’t been able to get past the verification step.

Email support hasn’t responded either. Only here for 2 more days so I don’t think I’ll ever get it to work unfortunately.

If you are traveling from anywhere outside of UAE they no longer provide one time passcodes for international numbers so be prepared to be locked out of ALHOSNUAE without a +971 number. This wasn’t the case 2-3 months ago but now has been implemented. Horrible technology offering frankly. One time password technology has been around for years and cost pennies to distribute to international numbers. Major major flaw that has made me miss appointments and frankly good business for Abu Dhabi economy. Sad to see such poor tech offering for something mandated. Awful.

ALHOSNUAE has been a disaster for me - a tourist that arrived in Dubai and that came to abu dhabi. My international number on roaming was registered and I could not use it. I was asked to use a local number. Thus got a local number and was unable to change the number in the system even with ICA help. Please sort out the fact that only local numbers work since you even give the option of selecting an international number. We cannot recommend Abu Dhabi to any tourist due to the bugs in Al Hosn as we are totally restricted.

Currently up to this date, ALHOSNUAE is working great and user friendly. It would be perfect if they can link ALHOSNUAE with IPhone wallet. Would be easy and quick to view the test status in ALHOSNUAE .

Takes a long time to complete. Biggest problem is no way to save progress - I inadvertently left app several times (still don't know why) and had to start over completely each time. Will NOT accept a US mobile number - mobile number is required to save info - and there is no customer service number outside the UAE. Horrible experience. Absolutely terrible. If I did not have to go to Abu Dhabi I would avoid the UAE solely because of ALHOSNUAE requirement.

Im a new resident in the UAE from the USA and i was suppose to be given a 60 day grace period to be able to get vaccinated but it isnt turning green and whenever i call customer service they have no knowledge and arent helpful at all. This is unacceptable. If you introduce a daily use app that affects our day to day life the least thing you can do is make it user and friendly and have a competent customer service. Ive been calling for 10 days every day to get my issue solved but until now nothing. Disgrace!

Let me just say that ALHOSNUAE is horrendously made and for the government to have such horrible software developers working for them is terrible. They cannot display an entire family at once and I can’t even add myself back after adding another family member because it is saying “You are trying to add yourself” 😂. A joke is what ALHOSNUAE is I can’t see anyone but the last person I added. I can barely log back in. Garbage.

I completed my 2-dose vaccination in April 2021. Now its end of September 2021 and my second dose is not appearing, registering complains, raising issues with Al Hosn technical team, Weqaya, DHA Dubai and everyone gives reference number but no action. I am frustrated at this point since we can’t go anywhere in Abu Dhabi without al Hosn green status and can’t get green because of this crappy app Development, integration and support services. I hope this comment is read by someone who try to resolve my issue.

After numerous calls and feedback, they’re still unable to amend the incorrect passport details. It took about three weeks to get my vaccination details updated months ago after a lot of hassle but no such luck with my passport info. My Complaint Ticket with ICA was closed with the old passport number still referenced. There should be an in-app complaint option without the need to login to the ICA site or call anyone (who’ll refer the caller to the site).

Like many of the other reviews, as a visitor from another country ALHOSNUAE does not work and the customer service is horrible. I got approval for my vaccine record and it’s showed as approved in ALHOSNUAE as well as the PCR test I took upon arrival. However, ALHOSNUAE was still grey. I contacted them and they told me to contact ICA only for ICA to tell me that the problem is with Al Hosn. I cannot recommend international visitors coming here until this issue is resolved.

My family arrived from USA to help me at hospital for my surgery. The submitted all the documents, vaccination info. and took PCR test. The information is not in the system. No one at the 800 number will help. They cannot go anywhere including the hospitals. This is not effective for people who need access quickly. I have spoken to many people at the call center and no one cares that this is a emergency situation.

App doesn’t work, doesn’t display anything, no doses, no pcrs for a very long time, along the line of many months. If they don’t know what to do they keep transferring you to others like ask SEHA or ask ICA. When I confronted them they made a ‘case file’ but then proceeded to cancelling it. Called and went there again, and they still have no idea what to do. Rubbish app.

If I could give negative stars I would. ALHOSNUAE sent me an OTP the very first time using app and then randomly logged me out a couple of weeks later, now it won’t send an OTP to my phone no matter how many times I try. I find it insane that a country uses an app that doesn’t work

Absolutely garbage and useless app that is very reflective of the people that run this country. Nothing works, you can’t update any information, there is no in person place you can go to to work around the issues of ALHOSNUAE. Shameful but accurate display of the people of uae.

The certificate only shows the first doses, not the most recent. The certificate makes it look like I’ve not had my booster.

The certificate should show the most recent three jabs, not the first three.

In the last update they mentioned ability to add vaccination card to apple wallet but how?

It’s not working for me at all. My status is still grey even tho I uploaded all necessary documents. I flew from San Francisco to visit Abu Dhabi but without green pass I won’t be able to go there … very disappointed

When I was in Dubai this past week. I asked immigration officer and hotel staffs. It seems very hard to activate this as tourist.

The only way it will work is to get COVID test locally and get the local phone#.

However, we used CDC vaccine card and paper COVID test report to get around without problem in Abu Dhabi.

So no need for tourist at least right now (Dec. 2021)

I’ve tried several times, but just doesn’t work.
