Sadly due to where I live 98% of the restaurants do not deliver to me. I totally get why they have the limitation, they want the food to be nice and hot for you to enjoy. The next issue is my location reads and BT when I live Savannah.
We ordered our food 1.5 hours ago. The driver is nowhere to be found, Bento doesn’t know when food was picked up, doesn’t show where the driver is. If we simply take a taxi it’s only 15 minutes drive. But after many texts to customer service, they finally indicated the driver pick up the food, and it was 45 minutes ago. I wish I knew and never used Bento. It ruined our vacation.
2 strikes against them:
The first was when I ordered for delivery, utilized their chat services to change my order from ‘delivery’ to ‘pickup’. The chat services they provided doesn’t actually correspond with the drivers. As such my food was still collected (despite my changed instructions) and delivered to an empty house.
The 2nd instance, was order food from a vendor the clearly stated that it is OPEN on Bento . My order was made, Bento (this app) charged my card. 20 minutes later I get correspondence from this app advising that the restaurant merchant is closed for services on that day and that I have to now wait 5days for refund. That is NUTS.
If you want your food to be sitting at a restaurant and waiting for a half an hour then be my guest and use this wonderful app. You can even call the restaurant to check on your dinner and they will let you know that your food has been ready and they are waiting for someone to collect; wonderful Benny Bag will update and say that the driver is waiting to collect it.
When Bento launched it was such a wonderful tool, blessing the island with superb service and wonderful delivery manner however, since they have decided to become greedy and oversell, you will be served cold food after waiting for a distasteful amount of time.
Awful when it comes to customer service
They don’t like to take responsibility when things go wrong. Customer service is responsive but not great. Fees are high, but so are everyone’s I guess. They are almost always late. Also, and what makes me the most annoyed, they send you advertisements and there is no option to opt out. Super pathetic. Positives: Bento is easy to use and I like food delivered to my door which they do accomplish, most of the time. Honestly I would give 2.5 stars but that’s not an option. All together an average experience.
Ordered a few times and twice the tracking shows they were stopped for 10 mins in another direction. Still a luxury to have but hopefully better pick up times from driver and transit times will improve.
Bento is decent. At times I think it’s takes too long for the food to arrive which is annoying because it’s cold. I also wish we could get a break down on each step of the way also being shown on the map.

What I’ve noticed is that the drivers don’t activate the notification to let you know they are on their way until they are right at your door. I’ve had many times I’ve ran out because it shows they are still at the restaurant when actually they are on my street. I think you could take a note from the other big apps like UberEats, DoorDash etc. I know exactly where my food is at and I can talk with my driver.
But over all Bento works.
The only problem for me is the delivery time. It takes wayyyyy to long for such small orders. Example: The estimated delivery time 25 to 35 mins and takes almost up to 2 hours to receive my purchase even when Bento says not busy. It would be excellent if this could be improved, otherwise everything else is great service.
In my opinion, it is quite unreasonable that I have to pay a minimum of $13 for my order to be delivered. What I usually order costs less than $10, which I do because of the expensive fees. However, I enjoy how convenient this app is.
Bento is pretty good, except the fact they don’t have monthly subscriptions like DoorDash and delivery fees are very expensive sometimes and then they include tips aswell?
Had trouble figuring out how to cancel an item I’d ordered and then to cancel the order!
Easy to use and I really like the tip options at the end of each delivery as it gives me time to reward good customer service from the driver.
I just used it for the first time and I must say I like the little chimes lol. Also, Bento is much better than the other delivery service apps..I’ll be using this going forward for sure
Very slow! It says 20-30mins but really takes over 1 hour! You might as well get food yourself by walking somewhere
Bento is great, works amazing, orders can be tracked from beginning until delivery. Customer service is great; and drivers are super friendly and polite. And all the best restaurants can be found there!
This is the most reliable app and cost-effective too. Thank you this app!
The title says it all, I have 0 complaints keep it up.
I used to love Bento. But recently the service has been absolutely horrible. The customer service is rude and constantly blaming late and poorly delivered food on the vendor and not themselves. They never update the status of the order because they are driving around delivering too many meals at once.
The food usually arrives cold or Luke warm. Do Better!
