Poor App, Poor Service

If you want your food to be sitting at a restaurant and waiting for a half an hour then be my guest and use this wonderful app. You can even call the restaurant to check on your dinner and they will let you know that your food has been ready and they are waiting for someone to collect; wonderful Benny Bag will update and say that the driver is waiting to collect it.
When this app launched it was such a wonderful tool, blessing the island with superb service and wonderful delivery manner however, since they have decided to become greedy and oversell, you will be served cold food after waiting for a distasteful amount of time.

2 strikes against them:

The first was when I ordered for delivery, utilized their chat services to change my order from ‘delivery’ to ‘pickup’. The chat services they provided doesn’t actually correspond with the drivers. As such my food was still collected (despite my changed instructions) and delivered to an empty house.

The 2nd instance, was order food from a vendor the clearly stated that it is OPEN on the app. My order was made, the app (BENTO) charged my card. 20 minutes later I get correspondence from bento advising that the restaurant merchant is closed for services on that day and that I have to now wait 5days for refund. That is NUTS.

We ordered our food 1.5 hours ago. The driver is nowhere to be found, the app doesn’t know when food was picked up, doesn’t show where the driver is. If we simply take a taxi it’s only 15 minutes drive. But after many texts to customer service, they finally indicated the driver pick up the food, and it was 45 minutes ago. I wish I knew and never used this app. It ruined our vacation.
