Shady Behavior

2022-05-30

They keep changing their referral program terms and conditions. The first time they did it, I understood because people were getting $5 gift cards for free. But the second time they changed it, it purely because their referral program was getting popular. Until a couple of days ago, the minimum purchase to use the 4 $5 referral credits you got from signing up USED to be $10 which was a good referral deal that still required people to pay money for the gift cards. Now they changed the minimum purchase to $20. I’ve never seen a company change their referral program as often as this one. On top of this and their habit of constantly locking people out of their accounts, their Black Friday only deal of $10 off a $50 gift card purchase doesn’t work despite it not being 11:59 PM CST yet like their email, Instagram and Facebook advertised. We have no way of getting immediate support because they only operate until 5 PM CST. This company is a mess and after the recent referral program change and this Black Friday deal ending earlier than advertised, I doubt I will have Raise still on my phone by the end of this month.

👎🏼

Getting a hold of someone is nearly impossible! Whether via email or telephone. I shared Raise with several friends and family. 5 of which used instantly to benefit from the referral kick back. When my mom downloaded and purchased and I helped her
make the purchases from my link, I did not receive my cash back. $20. After a week of calls and email I’m told it wasn't done right, she doubled clicked idk what and they don’t see she used my link. I even offered to show proof of the message thread between her and I. They said they can’t give me the cash back even knowing and could see she made only 4 purchases (for a reason). They could see how many referrals I gave them and can tell I wasn't lying, they refused to honor the $20 back. I wont be sharing Raise anymore and I have let those around me know the situation.

Worst app and customer service ever

2022-08-01

After having my payment pretty much held hostage on eBay from a giftcard I purchased from slide I tried to get slide customer service to help me to no avail. Their customer service are the rudest people I have ever dealt with. I finally was able to use the giftcard after about a week of it being held up so I decided to give slide another chance and what happens? Well they authorize the payment and it gets took off my card but then says payment declined due to suspicious activity. So now another payment is going to be held for who knows how long. Ok yea no, the only activity that’s suspicious is me going round and round with their rude customer service people who will not I repeat will not help u if anything goes wrong. Stay clear from Raise. I promise it will save u such a massive future headache. Worst app I’ve ever dealt with.

Going Downhill

2022-09-02

Raise used to be good, when it worked. Every time you load funds it locks your account and you have to call to unlock, but here’s the catch, nobody is there on the weekends or evenings to help. Then other times you’re able to add funds but when buying a gift card you get another lock! Why have this horrible system in place to prevent people from using your app?! Your money is literally held hostage until support reopens after their long weekend. If you’re going to hold on to peoples money you need to have weekend and evening support, completely unacceptable. This has happened multiple times to me and I’m finally just withdrawing all my money and cashing out. Let me know when these issues are fixed and I’ll be back as the concept was great, just poor execution.

Unreliable as heck, support is terrible

2022-10-04

Raise is great, when it works. The problem is that it is completely unreliable. There are times when you can’t load funds, other times it won’t allow you to make a purchase. Whichever it is, you can bet it won’t be resolved in less than 24 hours. So if you think you can use this tool to quickly make a purchase and use your intended gift card, well the best answer is Maybe. Raise would be great if it only worked. And customer service, that’s a joke. If you can ever get through, then quickly run out and buy a lottery ticket because your luck is peaking. So, I can’t recommend Raise because it is a major disappointment and we have enough frustration in life without inviting yet another opportunity.

Scam Stay Away!

2022-11-04

I used apple pay to make my purchase using Slide. The purchase went through and I got a message saying they couldn’t verify my identity and my payment didn’t go through. It also says I got charged and they will reimburse me 3 days later!!! What is this???? Why make an app you use to pay and when you pay they deny you and take your money???? Says to call customer service to verify my identity, but customer service is only available mon-fri and it is sunday. Don’t use Raise if you don’t want them to take your money. Now I have a charge on my account I have to wait for because they are the only online place where you purchase something and they deny you and take your money because of “identity” literally makes no sense.

You need to do a lot of work with voiceover

2022-12-06

How do you expect a blind person to use Raise if your app is haphazardly put together. Quite simple, your graphics and buttons are very unlabeled, and they need to be labeled. You better be glad I’m not part of Apple‘s accessibility team, because I would reject your app out right due to the fact. I wish Apple would take a harder stance on developers like this. Why not labeling your apps buttons and graphics, that is very unacceptable. I think Apple needs to take a harder stance on policies like this, if your app does not have labeled buttons, and your graphics are not clearly labeled for voiceover users, when they clearly Canby, then you should just flat out get rejected for this.

Customer services cannot solve my problem

2023-01-06

Try to make a purchase, shows my account is temporarily locked and have to call customer services, which I totally understand. Call the customer service several times, each time at least 30min waiting, and speak to customer services representatives, they told me my account now has been verified and should be good to go, I tried, still not working, then they ask me to wait an hour and give another try, which still didn’t work. It’s painful to wait and try again and again. I recommend people who consider using this switch to another site.

Needs work, but has potential

2023-02-07

Raise is a great concept and has the potential to be very useful. Raise itself has many technical issues; I have had Raise fully freeze on me more times than I can count. Sometimes the buttons to apply cashback lock up during checkout and I have to restart Raise . One of my credit cards is not accepted at all as payment for Raise. My discover card is accepted, but it refuses to accept my mastercard even though every other online retailer I know of will accept it. If this app fixes the many bugs Raise is riddled with and fixes their payment proccessing this could be a great service!

Best way to save on daily purchases

2023-03-11

I use slide almost everyday for my coffee purchases and i love the fact that I am getting 4% cash back on it. You don’t realize how much cash back you’ve earned until you look at your account at the end of the month. Slide has some of the retailers that we as consumers use almost everyday so why not get some cash back on it ? 👍🏻

Re from bad review I gave***

2023-04-09

Yo they actually opened my account. I saved $45 on a $205 gift card. I’m dead serious as well they actually legit and I knew I could trust them cause they part of retail me not. 🤟🤟 good company just trying to make sure nobody gets into your ish and making sure nobody gets into theirs. Excellent app and insane they do this for free. Will recommend to friends mates!!

Fantastic App - Easy, quick, cashback

2023-05-11

I was a bit concerned the load times for purchasing gift cards would be slow because sometimes I’d use the this app app to do the same thing as Raise. I’ve been impressed at the speed and the easy cash back is a no brainer. App is well done, efficient, and always gets a curious question when I use it to pay!

Best gift card app available

2023-06-11

I’m conflicted about telling everyone about Raise because when secrets get out, they tend to be less valuable. I also want to make sure they stay in business so I think that it’s more important that I let everyone know how amazing Slide really is. It’s so fast and so easy and highly dependable. I open Raise while waiting in line and by the time I’m to the front of the line, I have the exact amount ready. 2 seconds later I’ve typed in the exact amount and have a discounted gift card!

Quick response after paying

2023-07-13

Just went to Blaze, got cashier final amount, typed the total and paid, within 3 seconds it shows gift card # and pin.

The barcode scanner could not scan the barcode but need to type the numbers. Not sure if it is my screen is bright enough or not to detect barcode.

Overall, satisfactory experience

No brainer - saves $$$ and easy to use

2023-08-13

Great deal - 4% cash back on all purchases (or 5% if you load cash in advance) from companies I use all the time (Southwest Airlines, uber, and uber eats / DoorDash which I’ve been ordering from a lot lately). Literally free money, also I was impressed with how easy it was to use.

Also cool that you still earn credit card rewards on top of the 4% cash back from slide which really adds up.

A Raise app

2023-09-14

Gave it 5 stars so it can be posted at the top. I received a referral link for Raise and was told I’ll have the chance to get up to $20 in gift cards by just referring. Well I got my $5 sign up bonus but as I go to redeem it on my account. They lock my account and say that the payment can’t be verified. How ? If I’m using the money YALL GAVE ME ! Now I’m on hold for 30 mins to verify my payment and get my account unlocked. These people so weird. I hate it

easy to use, quick rewards 🤑

2023-10-16

My favorite part of Raise is that I can stack earning credit card points with earning cash back on Raise .

I most often use it for food delivery (Grubhub, DoorDash, and Uber Eats) but also love that they have companies like Airbnb, Sephora, and Crate & Barrel which are all big spend areas for me.

I’ve personally never experienced anything buggy with Raise and would highly recommend for those looking to earn easy cashback!

Best Cashback app that you’ll ever use

2023-11-16

This whole platform makes it so simple to earn extra cash back on everyday purchases. I just purchased Uber eats and used my credit card to fund my slide balance. That’s 1% from Slide and 2% from my credit card. I then buy my Uber eats gift card on Slide for 4% cashback. I usually use another cashback app like Dosh and earn 5.5% on top there. 12.5% back total plus all the other Uber eats deals like $12 back on $30+ makes it so simple to save!

Works Perfectly! By the Raise App Makers

2023-12-18

Raise should be way more popular than it is.
1st: you get 1% by preloading your account with funds. Super easy.
2nd: you get 4% cash back from any store they list for any amount over $10.
3rd: the cash back can be applied to discount your next purchase. No minimum threshold limitations!
4th: the gift cards are sent to you instantly.
5th: all retailers listed have preappoved Raise so the gift cards are guaranteed to work.
6th: You can buy exact amounts - meaning no extra balance to lose or forget about. No gift card risk!

What else could you want? Some people are complaining that they want more business to buy cards from, but thats just stupid. Without Raise, you wouldn’t have any of them. They already have eBay, AirBnB, Southwest Airlines, Taco Bell, Starbucks, etc... thats a lot of savings!

Try it out. Its worth the effort.

All I Can Say Is Wow 🤩

2024-01-18

Not a review writer normally, but I have to share this. Raise gives you 4% cash back on all purchases made through Raise . And as if that’s not amazing enough, you get another 1-2% for pre-loading a deposit, but that’s totally optional. I used it all day today and I’m blown away. Completely mind-blown. Better rewards than most credit cards, in my experience. I’m an instant fan. Get. This. App. Now!

Absolute Trash

2024-11-17

It doesn’t work. Period. And they’re support team’s promised “24 hour” response is more like a week, but I suppose that really doesn’t matter anyhow since their support people are nothing short of incompetent.

I’ve been trying to load $25 to my account for 4 weeks now and everyone they say it’s fixed, I go try again, but wouldn’t ya know, I get the message account has been locked. Again. So you can expect to wait a VERY long time before getting help that doesn’t actually help you.

Now that I think about it, “Trash” was too nice of a description.

App is annoying

2024-11-17

People who design apps should be forced to use them as punishment. I think the programmers had just covered slidy overlays the day they programmed this.
You lose half the screen because of the sliding crap at the top of the screen.
I’ve only got 5 inches of screen space and you cover half of it with useless crap instead of showing me more options where I can buy stuff. Poor UX.

Changing phone number

2024-11-17

How do I access my account again when I now have a new phone number? How can I update my phone number when signed out?

Better savings than any credit card I have

2024-11-17

I was really surprised by the amount of stores available for 4% back. Most of them are stores I shop at regularly. The best option is to add funds and get 5% back.

Amazingly easy

2024-11-17

I just did my first transaction: I preloaded some money and then headed to Burger King for breakfast. The only bottleneck was me trying to do things at the counter for the first time, but everything was flawless and rapid, and once you get used to it things will get infinitely better!

Used to be good

2024-11-17

Raise like many others was great in the beginning.

A lot of options to receive cash back and then they started lowering the cash back percentages from $2 on select retailers to like 0.5% on some of them.

Highly disappointing and no longer my go to app.

This App Is Fantastic!

2024-11-17

There are so many brand options, and the checkout and payment process is super simple, i honestly find it faster to use this than paying with a credit card. Y’all got me hooked on these savings 💰Hopefully will be adding even more brands soon?

So simple. So genius.

2024-11-17

I am always trying to find ways to save and make my money work harder. In comes slide which acts like a credit card that offers 4% cash back on my favorite brands! No other app or credit card offers those much cash back-it's seriously genius! Can't wait to see what they come up with in future releases.

5/5 - App deserves more love

2024-11-17

Not sure why Raise hasn’t picked up steam. This is the only way to earn 4% cash back on ebay + iTunes gift cards. There are other apps out there and ways to get discounts on both, but I haven’t found anything better. Raise is made by the creators of this app so you’d assume it’d garner a bit more attention. And it deserves it from what I’ve seen. All the other reviews that aren’t 5/5 don’t seem to understand how GPT programs work when they’re saying they need to support more companies etc. That’s something I’m sure they’re working on but it’s not a simple task. I plan to use this any time I plan to fund my eBay account or buy some more apps on my phone. 4% is 4%.

Saving money from Slide

2024-11-17

Raise is really easy to use with 4% cash back on most stores. I tend to buy a lot of bass pro and don’t need another credit card. This will make my wallet happier and also I can save more while I eat out for lunch.
