Great app

DexcomGlucoseProgramApp is very good I really like the fact that I can access the report very easily and on daily basis.
The only think I which it had is the ability to add more then one person in the phone. I do have three diabetic kids and keeping up will all three would be great only using DexcomGlucoseProgramApp in one phone to monitor.

Badger much?

After using DexcomGlucoseProgramApp for over a year, I think I acknowledged entirely too many times that Dexcom isn’t a fan of the iOS version I am using. Having that message come up ONCE is fair, I believe. Not once every day.

Now, my provider has switched over to the Dexcom Zone tile, which Dexcom points out is untested. EVERY. FREAKING. TIME. I. WANT. TO. CHECK. MY. LEVELS. Do you think your users have the memory of a goldfish? It makes me not want to check as often as I should, to have to clear that same popup. Stop it.

Disappointed

I was offered a CGM by my insurance company and thought it would be the solution to all of my problems. I really welcomed the opportunity to have a continuous read out of my blood sugar and attempt to figure out why I couldn’t get my A1 C down. However, using this program and my first transmitter which would not stay connected to Bluetooth I determined that I had a bad transmitter... or so I thought. I got a new transmitter and only had moderately better results. I frequently have to turn off and back on my iPhone, and this morning after three days of cycling through it and forgetting the Bluetooth device and waiting for it to pair again, it will not connect at all. The CGM concept is awesome, and in the three days that it worked I have learned a lot. However the frustration with having this thing constantly disconnecting and losing the signal even though I have it in my pocket less than a foot away from the CGM is extremely frustrating and I am considering discontinuing its use. The insurance company also got me a Fitbit which connects through Bluetooth and it connects instantly and stays connected so I don’t know why the CGM in this program have such a problem.

Zero stars

To put it simply...I hate the Level 2 Dexcom Glucose App. Unfortunately, I will be calling to opt out of the Level 2 program. There are no alarms to warn me when my glucose has fallen into dangerous levels. That is the primary reason that I use a Dexcom. In addition, there is no place to enter my insulin or carbs. I don’t need multiple apps to manage, as I don’t have that kind of time or energy. In addition, DexcomGlucoseProgramApp only provides 12 hours of data. If I want an insight report I have to request it from my coach. I need to be in control of my diabetes... not a coach. I should have access to my data at all times. I’m truly disappointed. This has the potential of being a wonderful program for diabetics. Please figure out a way to integrate Level 2 with the Dexcom G6 App or improve your version.

Needs some tweaking

I’ve been using DexcomGlucoseProgramApp now for 6 weeks. I love the device and the up-to-date readings, that is until DexcomGlucoseProgramApp loses contact with the transmitter. There need to be a place that you can check on the status of your sensor and transmitter. For example this morning I was curious as to how much time was left on my sensor, but could find anything. Later that afternoon I was given the 2 hour notice that the sensor was expiring. If I had known it was about to expire I would have changed it this morning, at least give a 12 hour notice instead. It would be good for DexcomGlucoseProgramApp to notify when your blood sugar drops below the minimum set.

won’t let me log in

i’m sure this is a great app, and i know it’s new so when everything is fixed in a month or two i’ll be downloading again to try out. it says my username and email does not go to a dexcom account, but i know it does because i have one email. i’ve been using the dexcom since they came out with the g4 and i love their product. very compact and useful, most of the time the blood sugar it reads is 2-4 mg/lg off of what my meter says. can’t wait for this issue to be fixed!

Serious App issues

Was sent the G6 by my insurance company and inadvertently downloaded the regular G6 app without realizing I was on the wrong app until I called Level 2 health. After using the actual G2 app and switching over to the glucose program app I am seriously considering discontinuing using the G6 through this program. It is leaking so many features that the other app has and the worse part is my numbers are off anywhere from 30 to 50 point so I continue to finger stick and sink my numbers.
And not being able to use the glance app on my Fitbit versa to see my numbers is beyond disappointing. Absolutely love the G6 monitor but beyond disappointed with the glucose program app!!

Terrible; cumbersome

My insurance company enrolled me in their Level 2 program that provided the Dexcom g6 device and requires DexcomGlucoseProgramApp instead of the more widely used Dexcom app. DexcomGlucoseProgramApp is terrible. You will need to manually login multiple times per week, and touchid and faceid are not supported. DexcomGlucoseProgramApp integrates with no other app including Apple health. You get your current reading, and a graph of daily or weekly results. There’s no way to export data without going thru a Level 2 “coach”. Save yourself the aggravation and just get a scrip for the g6 so you don’t have to deal with DexcomGlucoseProgramApp. The g6 device itself is great.

iOS 14.3 fix?

I’ve had DexcomGlucoseProgramApp and device for two weeks now and haven’t been able to use it. It does not support IOS 14.3. On top of that I had to remove DexcomGlucoseProgramApp completely from my phone because even after I silenced all notifications it signals loudly that the device isn’t working properly. Thank you captain obvious. They really need a tech team that can fix the problems with DexcomGlucoseProgramApp . I’m sure it can be a great product if I were able to use it. Hope this doesn’t happen every time there is a phone update.

Not as Good as Actual Dexcom G6 App

DexcomGlucoseProgramApp is missing a lot of features that people who use the regular Dexcom G6 app get. I can’t seem to find how to export any of this data to discuss with my doctors. And, old data seems to just roll off and disappear. There’s no online portal that I know of to get my data. It doesn’t integrate with Apple Health. It won’t do anything for Apple Watch users. It’s great for people who have employers/insurance plans who invite them that would not normally qualify for a regular Dexcom G6... but, otherwise, it’s a second class app to the actual Dexcom G6 app.

Lacking A LOT of G6 features from original App

Got this under a program with my insurance. For some reason, they Dexcom made a special version that doesn't let you integrate with Apple health and seems to erase your data after a week. If I’m connecting a device my body, I should be able to retrieve the information that comes out of it (like the non-insurance supported version). I hate to say it, but I might discontinue using this regardless if my insurance company is paying for it. Keeping my own medical information from me is wrong.

Not dependable product

I greatly disappointed in this product and Level2 service. The ramp up of instruction in applying the sensor and transmitter was poorly presented. User Guide and availability of technical support were not helpful in resolving issues. Lost signal connection numerous times. Tried to restart smart phone and reconnection but with minimal success. I reinstalled DexcomGlucoseProgramApp and lost 3 days of data and lost credited for 100% in range. It’s very discouraging in not having confidence in the data or reliability that the device will stay connected.

Good potential, but lots of bugs

Non-Invasive Glucose monitoring that works 24/7 seems like such a good idea; this product has lots of good qualities, but in the end seems more frustrating than beneficial.

Two of three of my last box of sensors failed to release from the installation mechanism. The transmitter disconnects for hours at a time interrupting all aspects of my day with loud annoying warning beeps.

It seems the Dexcom may have mastered the hard part — the continuous glucose monitoring, but seemingly has quality control issues combined with an inability to provide a sound reliable Bluetooth interface.

It’s a shame. What should be a great product isn’t yet ready for prime time — or any time. Hopefully, they can improve their product before they generate so much Ill will that no one cares to deal with them.

Terrible App

I’m signed up in the Level 2 program. I was already using the G6 CGM with the Dexcom software - which is awesome. On 6/29 I was contacted by Level 2 and told I had to use their app or I would not get sensor refills. DexcomGlucoseProgramApp is an utter mess. Had 0 issues with previous app now I have went through 2 sensors in 2 days and neither will read in this new app. I am now out of sensors, as a result, and have to wait for a week until I get new ones. Back to sticking my finger.

Internet connection always required

Apparently you need to login regularly in order to actually see your glucose numbers.
So if you are out hiking or camping or go anywhere without cell/internet service then please take something to use to monitor your numbers.
Interesting that the Dexcom G6 app doesn’t need internet to work. Also in the past I don’t recall the above requirements.

As it has been pointed out there are no alerts related to rise, fall and there no information regarding when your sensor or transmitter was added. So be prepared to write down when you change your sensor and when you changed to a new transmitter.

So yes it works but you must always be with internet/cell service in order for DexcomGlucoseProgramApp to work.

CGM

Used DexcomGlucoseProgramApp with Level2 program and it ran great. Was able to turn my phone landscape and see up to a week of readings on my blood sugar. Level2 support has also been really great and helpful as well

App needs a serious update!

I am sick and tired of DexcomGlucoseProgramApp losing connection every single day. DexcomGlucoseProgramApp is clearly not compatible with the latest iOS version on Apple iPhone devices. It defeats the purpose of the GCM program when DexcomGlucoseProgramApp fails to fully support the program’s technology needs. I don’t think the developers of DexcomGlucoseProgramApp realize that the last update to DexcomGlucoseProgramApp was 4 MONTHS ago!

Would like it to connect with Apple Health

DexcomGlucoseProgramApp is a decent app on itself, though like one of its other apps from Dexcom I wish that they added the linking of the health information to Apple Health. We know that they can do it from the Dexcom 6 app they just need to implement the feature on this one.

😡

I am frustrated with DexcomGlucoseProgramApp. I was so excited about not having to stick my finger 5 times a day and looking forward to monitor my glucose. However, I am constantly getting errors that are need to be in 20 ft of my monitor I’m actually holding my phone to the monitor and it still says error. I’ve contacted technical support but been unable to help. I am opting out and I do not recommend.

Terrible App

I love the Dexcom. It is a game changer in dealing with my diabetes. However I got the Dexcom through the Level2 program with my insurance company and I'm forced to use DexcomGlucoseProgramApp rather than the regular Dexcom app. DexcomGlucoseProgramApp is terrible. It only keeps 12 hours of data. Does not connect to Apple Health. Very few feature. So much potential, so much frustration. All the data, my data, is right there. Why can't I have it?

Does not play well with others

One big difference in this and the regular dexcom app is this does not alert you of highs or lows. And it does not share with other apps like AppleHeath or GlucoseBuddy+

It will share via email, so an app like Sugarmate will be able to read the settings.

How to sign up?

I am trying to set DexcomGlucoseProgramApp up on my phone but there is no way to sign up for the program there is only a way to sign in if you are already a user thisIs ridiculous because what I put my information in with the sign in it tells me user doesn't exist I already know this so how am I supposed to use DexcomGlucoseProgramApp on the iPhone 11 how do I sign up to use this program?

Broken for 5 months

DexcomGlucoseProgramApp used to work but it’s been broken for 5 months when Apple did an update and the transponder wouldn’t connect any more. Now with the latest version of iOS it’s broken for even more people. The developer does not support DexcomGlucoseProgramApp very well. I have been unable to connect transponders to DexcomGlucoseProgramApp for 5 months now.

Almost good

DexcomGlucoseProgramApp is fine except the whole point is to track and trend data, but it only keeps data for 12 HOURS. And the device is disconnected more than it’s connected. Not very useful at all.

Very weak app

I am dismayed at how little DexcomGlucoseProgramApp does! I would expect much more from a app developed by a company to support a glucose monitor. Disappointed would be understated...
Maybe you can recruit a middle school student to write a new app as a home work assignment ...
