App crushes immediately after opening, rendering device basically useless. Is there a plan to fix this, or shall i send the device back?

Air+ android app crashes immediately when opening. Android states an app bug! Worked for a month. Updated Android. Cleared cash and so on. Installed on wifes phone where it works. Really annoying not being able to find the problem. Android is getting slow/heavy to use.

Air+ android app crashes immediately when opening. Have also just performed a samsung internet update. No updates available. Android states an app bug!
Common dislikes about Philips Air+ app
- No way to turn on notifications ONLY when water has run out
- No indication in app if water has run out
- App does not honor notification setting, it keeps resetting it to on
- Even turned off in the app, notification still pull up every time
- Registration in Philips account is not working (in Belarus), air purifier is not connecting
