I am disgusted. The first thing I saw when I opened Face2CartoonCaricatureMaker was the disclaimer that all my black friends were getting too. That they do not have a dark skin avatar so they cannot “handle” a dark skin selfie. Beyond it being incredibly inelegant it is also clearly racist. Did Face2CartoonCaricatureMaker originate in Asia? Is that why it appears the not understand the complexities of political correctness and inclusion? If you don’t have a dark skinned Avatar do not release Face2CartoonCaricatureMaker at all. At least not in places where there are dark skinned people who would like to use it. You are limiting your user base just by doing that. It’s downright silly. And I don’t even think I need to say it is offensive and hurtful. You make dark skinned people feel alienated and outcast, perpetuating the hardships they already have to face living as some one with dark skin. Racism and colorism are not things you can just wish away with a disclaimer. You need to act upon it and do something about it. It is not something that we will just be ok with understanding.

I never write reviews but Face2CartoonCaricatureMaker is god awful.. I tried putting in pictures of me and every. single. time. the character was white (I’m black) and extremely deformed. I tried using different photos too and they all were terribly deformed and looked nothing like me. I decided to try them on my boyfriends photos and they were still extremely deformed. The only thing right on my boyfriends was his skin color and his hair (he’s white). Face2CartoonCaricatureMaker seems really cool besides that and has potential- they just need to fix some things.

i read the reviews & it stated that they white wash black people which is obviously a terrible thing by its self. but when i test Face2CartoonCaricatureMaker with one of my favorite singers, something came up that is just so...ignorant. I didn’t get a white washed version of my fave singer, i got an obviously white skinned anime character with brown colored on her face. it did not form the photo, they just slap a poorly colored in anime girl in blackface. is this actually your solution for complaints of white washing???

I saw others complaining about this, Face2CartoonCaricatureMaker will work for a few pictures, 2 in my case, then says there is a "network error" and cannot generate the face. I tried and tried and it didn't work. I thought this was a way to try and get people to buy the subscription so I got the free trial but it still didn't work. A bit disappointed but at least I got 2 pics.

Honestly it’s a cartoon face app there is no reason that being dark skinned should hinder adding cartoonish features to your face. Also they want you to be patient with their server that’s gonna crash and be unresponsive instead of fixing the problem. If I could give it no stars I would the cartoon graphics aren’t even good to begin with.

This is a really cool app and I was exited but when ever I put a picture in the character looked nothing like me.. at all. (P.S I am black) Even though I am black the picture would either come out white or a mix of many different faces which makes the character deformed. Extremely deformed. If I could post the picture to show you, you would see how bad it was. All I think is that once this is fixed it will be amazing and the idea of Face2CartoonCaricatureMaker is fun.

don’t download Face2CartoonCaricatureMaker thinking it’ll give you even a decent quality photo, because it won’t. however, it is hilarious to see what monstrosity the program creates. also if you have a dark skin tone, you might as well not even download Face2CartoonCaricatureMaker as it will not register your face properly. however, should it, you will be heavily whitewashed.

I kept thinking that I maybe had used photos with bad angles. I burned through at least 30-50 photos, and all of them came out with me being either distorted or white-skinned. Definitely a racist app, and it’s sad because I’ve been trying for so long to look for a generator that would turn my selfie into an anime character. Oh well, the search continues.

I’m astonished right away!!!! As a manga lover I always wanted to have a cartoon avatar of my own now I know where to go!! I can’t stop playing on Face2CartoonCaricatureMaker with my selfies! My friends love it, too!! I can’t possibly stop!!!

I have been patiently trying to create a picture but it has not been able to create even one. I even signed up for the free trial and still am unable to create a photo. It continues to say there is a network error or too many people are using it.

I tried using different pictures of myself and none of them worked. It said my connection was bad but I’m on WiFi (which is working perfectly fine) This is a great concept it just needs to be executed a little better.

Face2CartoonCaricatureMaker is honestly horrible. The "cartoon" image it produces after a picture is so far off from the original that it's hard to even tell what it is. Dont waste your time on Face2CartoonCaricatureMaker when there's better apps for making yourself into an avatar!

Every time I try to do it it keeps saying network problem, I’ve tried deleting and redone loading Face2CartoonCaricatureMaker multiple times but it just doesn’t work which is kinda disappointing 😔 and to frankly it’s getting on my nerves a bit

i tried making a picture of myself a cartoon but all it keeps saying is it can’t do it. i’ve done everything it has told me to do so there is no reason why it can’t be done. it’s not even like i have an old phone or something like that where it can take longer or doesn’t work. my phone is relatively new so there’s no reason it can’t make my face a cartoon. i’ve been trying for the past two weeks on Face2CartoonCaricatureMaker to see if one day something might work and it never goes. Face2CartoonCaricatureMaker needs to be fixed immediately.

Every time I—a black male— took pictures, the character would end up white and deformed. I don’t know if Face2CartoonCaricatureMaker uses actual anime characters stitched together or they create a character based on your picture, but what I know is that the pictures I took received horrible results.

now, the idea of Face2CartoonCaricatureMaker is pretty cool, but the photos.. oh my- i’ve tried many photos to see what works better, but even the most beautiful pictures turned into some deformed monster. Maybe try another way to make Face2CartoonCaricatureMaker how you want it.

I was connected to WiFi but it refused to make my face into a cartoon the same message would not stop popping up “try to check your internet” really annoying not a good first experience

I uploaded a clear photo but it won’t cartoon it. It says I need better connection. My internet and everything seems fine to me though.

Every time I try to use it, while loading it takes a long time and then says I have no internet when I do have internet and every other app works?

First off it took forever to process and then I tried a bunch of pictures and none of them worked and it kept saying error

I pick a photo and it’s says processing but then says my internet doesn’t work when i know for sure it does?

Face2CartoonCaricatureMaker is awful I put in clear pictures but it still came out looking like crap and it completely whitewashed my picture, I’m a black girl with brown eyes not an white girl with green eyes 🤦🏽‍♀️

I just realized that it didn’t ask for access to my photos, so this is very sus app- Plus it doesn’t work at all. Don’t download if you want to sleep at night

i wanted to see myself as an anime character and i am black. my character looked nothing like me and was white! can you please be inclusive to other races?
