RecShot-Cartoon Effect&Sticker Reviews

I’m looking for an app that does something very specific. I want to turn pictures into cartoon pictures. I’m fine with paying for it, rates are very comfortable, however I would love to know what I’m paying for. Unfortunately I was unable to test out RecShotCartoonEffectSticker on certain pictures to see if it does what I want it to do.

Message to the devs, at least make it to where you guys have your watermark all over the samples that are created by the free version. If people are too broke to afford 15-20 bucks a month, it be doubtful that they could afford a proper photo editor to edit out the watermarks. Also would love a version made for the iPad users. I know there’s a free 3 day trail, but I still feel uncomfortable about committing, especially if I don’t know that it’ll do what I was looking for, and I’m sure others are too.

But as of right now, I will have to get by with something else unfortunately.

I saw RecShotCartoonEffectSticker (MARKED AS FREE) and thought I would download it to check out different filters for some pictures I’ve taken. Now it’s annoying enough when the adds for RecShotCartoonEffectSticker show you something that you can do if you pay while marketing that RecShotCartoonEffectSticker itself is free (HAHA😑 the joke is on the buyer for that one) but RecShotCartoonEffectSticker has absolutely 0 and I mean 0 things that you can do in it with out having to pay some weekly, monthly, or yearly fee. They don’t even have a simple filter that people can use unless you pay up which isn’t in the description of RecShotCartoonEffectSticker at all. They say you can unlock more features if you upgrade to the plus version but don’t give you anything to base the quality of the work on even if just 1 filter had been free they would have gotten a review based off that but nope they didn’t. Terrible Terrible Terrible!!!

When I installed RecShotCartoonEffectSticker and opened it for the first time, Immediately I was offered a year’s subscription for about $80, before even using RecShotCartoonEffectSticker , and because I have the newer iPhone, it was automatically bought because RecShotCartoonEffectSticker activated a payment request without my permission, and went through. Not even 60 seconds after owning RecShotCartoonEffectSticker , I had a 365 day subscription that I didn’t even know if I had wanted, and I didn’t get the choice because of how RecShotCartoonEffectSticker startup is set.
After numerous attempts at contacting the developers, I have received zero responses about my requests for a refund. RecShotCartoonEffectSticker is designed to take your money, and that is that. I have used far better photo editing apps, and would never recommend this one to anyone looking to edit photos whatsoever. Save yourself some money and some time & stress.

It showed up as an advertisement on one of the games I’m playing. I chose a limited version for a few days, but did see there were options to pay up to a year, and even a lifetime membership. I never saw that same advertisement again. I sent them a request to see if I could cancel and heard nothing. I requested repayment from Apple, and they did, then this company charged me again. I used once. There’s no way you can use RecShotCartoonEffectSticker month after month. Rip off. Beware

The critical reviews that you’ve receive most frequently reference the subscription. I tried the product and thought it was okay, but when I cancelled through Apple and my money refunded, RecShot simply billed me again.

When someone violates the 3 day trial period, where does it state that they are obligated to pay at the “annual” rate? Why not the weekly or monthly rate so they can catch it?

I canceled my subscription to RecShot some time ago and guess I just have it till Feb 2021. Apple care assures me that the subscription won’t be reactivated.

This really is a scam.... I don’t care about the 75 bucks, but do care about scammers. This will come back to you I guarantee it.

If I could give it less than zero stars I would. I wanted to try it and without warning it charged almost $100. Impossible to refund. Shame on Apple for allowing such a scam. Money gone I decided might as well use it- Junk app, total crap, doesn’t do anything special or worthy of the price even worse I wouldn’t even use it if it were free that’s how it is. I obviously paid for someone’s drug habit cause absolutely not a dime went in to making this or improving it since i first purchased it. And notice how the creator does not defend his work, attempt to deny its a scam. There is no mention of improvements or better versions in the works. The ads for RecShotCartoonEffectSticker show these cool features and filters that just are not in RecShotCartoonEffectSticker . The cartoon filter that is used for marketing, promotional pics and ads for RecShotCartoonEffectSticker all use this very unique style which is what every review here is looking for. As a graphic designer I understand how much work would be required to create a design similar to the ones advertised and was blown away by the idea of being able to make them in seconds with an app. And by blown away I mean not suprised at all to see it’s another scummy app that scams consumers and uses false advertisements and lies to steal money. If only I could show screenshots and compare the difference in the in app filter compared to the ads I could close my case, but I cannot. Please do not download RecShotCartoonEffectSticker

They don’t tell you the price of RecShotCartoonEffectSticker make you think is free you clock on GET and then later you get a charge of $89 monthly sent to you by an Email from them that now you are responsible to pay it. I emailed back 2 times no answer . Now they blocked the card and they canceled RecShotCartoonEffectSticker but they want me to get a new credit card or credit card number to use ! Because of their own mistake . Their app has no prices I showed them more examples but they still are not doing anything about it . Just know if you don’t see if RecShotCartoonEffectSticker is free do not download you never know the price until they send you invoice . APPLE HAS BECOME terrible in quality and service they don’t back their products and very product is becoming worse than their last.

As with every other cartoon filter app, you can’t see the cartoon filter unless you buy the subscription. I get the Devs need to make money, but it’d be nice if you could see how it works before buying it. There is a 3 day free trial, but I’ve run into way too many apps that abuse that then steal your money. I’d suggest you add some kind of watermark to the photo that way you’d be able to see it and decide whether you want to purchase a subscription or not.

The filters also look really weird (at least the free ones). They made my pics look blurry or grainy, and it ends up looking like a low resolution photo.

This is the frustration with all apps. I accidentally fast fingered accept without realizing the annual fee price and was unable to back out. Now after cancelling the subscription I was looking to call customer service to ask for a refund since it was a mistake, but of course there’s no clear way to communicate other than through this review, so customer service if you are listening and/or reviewing these comments, please return any and all payment made.
There should be a governmental regulation that makes it clear and simple way to reach out to customer service. So disappointed and on top of that, the 30 seconds I browsed through RecShotCartoonEffectSticker , it didn’t seem like anything I would be interested in anyway.

I thought this was a free app. I installed it on my phone and went to use it. Chose a photo and a window popped up asking for my finger print to continue, but I didn’t realize until it was too late that it was charging me for a year subscription. I am definitely not interested in paying for this. No offense. I cancelled my subscription but I see a charge coming through in my bank account. I have uninstalled RecShotCartoonEffectSticker from my phone and would appreciate customer service to assure me that I will not be charged. This is definitely not something I care enough about to pay that much for. Thank you

I’ve never had an app that didn’t let me try some features first. I never would have bought RecShotCartoonEffectSticker but just now I paid $89 for something I could didn’t want to purchase!!!
RecShotCartoonEffectSticker immediately asked me to click after I downloaded. I obviously forgot that I had clicked to download it in the first place and wasn’t expecting it to immediately charge me $89 for a years subscription!! I immediately had buyers remorse and a sinking feeling knowing I have NEVER paid that much for any app, much less something I wasn’t going to use. If I could just get a refund I’ll call it good and remove my 1 Star rating for the weird tactic to buy something before I could try it.

i saw RecShotCartoonEffectSticker advertised on a game i downloaded and it looked pretty cool so i gave it a try. immediate disappointment. if you thought you’d be able to use RecShotCartoonEffectSticker as soon as you download it, you thought wrong. RecShotCartoonEffectSticker automatically loads a screen that says “free for new users” and “monthly.” basically if you wanted to use RecShotCartoonEffectSticker you could for free for 3 days BUT you have to remember to cancel it within those 3 days if you don’t want to be charged $25 a month... SERIOUSLY? who is going to pay for that?? it should be advertised as something you have to pay for to start with. if i could give 0 stars i would. don’t waste your time downloading this unless you are trying to pay for it.

RecShotCartoonEffectSticker is deceptive on so many levels and should be removed fromApp Store. No real customers have ranked it above a 3 and most at a 1. No wonder they plaster games with an auto download link, if you came here to actually look it up you’d see what a scam it is. App Store is contributing to the scam.
You can’t enter RecShotCartoonEffectSticker at all without agreeing to a (very faintly printed and not at all accessible message) $89 dollar annual usage fee. Don’t fall for it. It’s not free to use no matter how many times the developers post that bs copy-paste response. And I you think you’re going to get real “cartoon effect” filters, like their ads show? Talk to literally any digital artist and they will tell you that such a filter doesn’t exist.

So I don’t know why you guys downloaded RecShotCartoonEffectSticker but I know I did because of the cartoon filter and I was rather disappointed! I mean you can use a different version then the one in the add and I’m not paying a monthly fee for an app I use for photos. I used a pic of my friend and I was just disappointed at the outcome, it was kind of pixely and all of the good filters are premium! I THINK YOU SHOULD JUST SAY WHAT YOU CAN USE IN RecShotCartoonEffectSticker FOR FREE IN THE ADD.

This might be my first review but was angry enough to finally take the time to write one. Saw an as for this free app and thought my daughter would might try making the photos/cartoon. Well free part let’s you only take the picture but to see it render have to download another and clicked so fast I had already clicked when I realized it said it was signing me up for $70 a year. Needless to say cancelled subscription immediately but already stuck with this year. I didn’t even try RecShotCartoonEffectSticker after that and deleting it. What a terrible business model but guess they are making their money regardless of the product.

So they manage to get me to give permission I downloading a free app but you absolutely positively cannot use without paying for it even though they are advertising as free. This is all pure scam don’t do it. And please don’t respond by saying that most of the features are free and that RecShotCartoonEffectSticker is free to download. 99% of the features are in accessible unless you pay for it. You could just say that it cost money don’t lie to people nobody likes to be scammed. Yes. It’s free to download. But you can’t do a dog gone thing with RecShotCartoonEffectSticker unless you dish out $70 a year or $15 a month. It’s a matter of principle don’t lie to people. Don’t advertise it as free. This won’t ever use anything from this developer.

RecShotCartoonEffectSticker looked cool so I downloaded for FREE and then it asked for access to my photos so I said okay and then it brought up my photo library and I picked photo to see what it would do and immediately it put a window up stating that RecShotCartoonEffectSticker would auto renew next year and they charged me 75 dollars with tax BAM! No asking me if I wanted to upgrade no nothing!!! Just spent a half hour with Apple asking for a refund immediately and found out it could take 30 days to get my money back, if they review and find it was done maliciously (which it was) these developers are thieves! Steer clear and be careful not to upload ONE photo. It butchered my photo too to add to the misery.

I was watching videos and the add for RecShotCartoonEffectSticker came on, and I saw the cartoon effect and I loved how it looked. I figured because it was rated decently it wasn’t fake trash. Well I purchased a subscription, I went straight to the cartoon filter. I used the filter, on a picture of me. And then tried it on other effects, the cartoon filter is trash. They made it look better on the ad! I’m annoyed I spent money for RecShotCartoonEffectSticker. I wouldn’t recommend RecShotCartoonEffectSticker. And the supposed ‘sketch’ filter isn’t to bad, but it looks like I have cracks in my face, and just the colors are grey/gray. This is basically a scam, please do not download without reading some of the reviews, you’ll regret it.

The second you try to run RecShotCartoonEffectSticker it wants you to subscribe to an 89 a year plan.

The whole screen fills up and some people don’t know you can close this and use RecShotCartoonEffectSticker any ways but why because the filter to cartoonize your picture wants you too sign up for the pro plan.

I have always downloaded apps to try to do this and they all charge. I seriousllu thinking of paying someone to make an app that will do this for free or charge a one time fee of a dollar because I know is not free. Or and ad supported with a watermark or something

I downloaded this thinking it would be cool to see. But nope, can’t even use it unless you wanna remember to cancel it within three days or get charged 25 dollars a month. Such trickery and stupidity. I miss the apps that had a one time fee, now they just trick you and make you pay for everything monthly. I think it’s bullish!t all these various apps wanna charge a monthly subscription now, sorry I don’t need RecShotCartoonEffectSticker that bad and will never pay a monthly fee for any app for that matter. I will live without it. I don’t need another bill, besides most of these subscriptions are high, most of my bills monthly are lower than these stupid apps. Thanks but no thanks. I won’t not recommend RecShotCartoonEffectSticker it is boring almost everything cost money exsept for the color filter but everything else just waste your money just to do a stupid filter please don’t buy RecShotCartoonEffectSticker an less you want to pay $2.30 just to use the filter once only one time and then you get like a check and it’s like a scam even if you delete RecShotCartoonEffectSticker you still pay the money no matter what it forces you because you did a contact this is the worst app ever and I do not recommend RecShotCartoonEffectSticker for anyone this is a scammed app that waste your money on one time photo!!!

There are thousands of apps much better than this for free or 99 cents , this is a big scam , stay away . They will charge your account $7.99 per week . I accidentally had my finger on fingerprint reader and end up paying $7.99 for this garbage

Update: they got back to me after a few weeks to let me know that there is indeed a free version but be very careful, they automatically charge you after three days unless you cancel . I will give it two stars

This game is so cool! You can literally do anything that you would like to do! I just made a cover of a comic book of my baby cousin! It is the sweetest thing I have ever seen! If you would ever get this and make a comic book than it will give you all the pictures that you have ever taken!! I hope that one day you will buy this awesome game!!

Well when I downloaded this I thought that I was going to see what I looked like if I were a cartoon but no! I have to pay for that I had been downloading apps like this and spending a lot of my time I also wanted to see what animal I would be if I were an animal and i know you guys have to make a living but maybe you’d let us see our selves as anime and make to see our selves chibi vip please! How can one be charged $94 yearly subscription when it was never used. I will report to Better Business Bureau. Falsely advertised. I was charged and didn’t get to open RecShotCartoonEffectSticker . Now I have to argue with people about my money.
After speaking with APPLE support, even when you contact them immediately, it will take 30 days for you to get the funds back that it took them minutes to take. Jeffrey and Pam did what they could but RecShotCartoonEffectSticker and the company promoting it are full of BS.

ok yes, there are free filters and yes it says in app purchases but not for what they advertise. they advertise that filter you see on instagram a lot, the one that makes a pic of u look like an angel in a cartoon w/ overly long, beautiful hair. i was making one for my best friend and then it says u have to pay for it?! or at least become a member which in car i didn’t know, costs $$$. and probably a one time use or at least 3 times a yr. i just wish they would advertise things that r actually free, like PicArt.

This is a false advertisement. This is my least favorite app by far, you need to pay for every filter. The free filters are the ones I’ve seen numerous times. The fact you need to pay 90 dollars a year just to unlock a filter is ridiculous. If you want to have a successful app that everyone will like, at least make some free so people could try it out. I’ll never recommend RecShotCartoonEffectSticker to anyone I know. It needs a lot of improvement.

Even though RecShotCartoonEffectSticker allows you to download it for free, it’s not really “free” since you forced to pay for RecShotCartoonEffectSticker as soon as you open it. Unless you able to find the invisible x button on the first screen, the free-user options are extremely limited, you are better off not downloading RecShotCartoonEffectSticker rather than giving these people your hard earned money on a subscription plan that overly prices each option.

When I was on games, I saw RecShotCartoonEffectSticker all of the time. I loved RecShotCartoonEffectSticker . But one day I went to RecShotCartoonEffectSticker Store an I saw some reviews. They were not good reviews. Some said that you had to pay and RecShotCartoonEffectSticker is trash. So I down loaded RecShotCartoonEffectSticker to see if the reviews were true. And they were, it said you had to pay for it. So I’m saying that maybe the owners should update this and not make people pay. So if your reading this then dont get RecShotCartoonEffectSticker !

I downloaded RecShotCartoonEffectSticker specifically for the cartoon filter and tried on multiple photos of different light and setting and it was just over all poor outcomes coming from a photoshop user.

Other filters are good and can be used but again this would be fore your basic photo editing user.

I do t like the fact that they charge to use good apps. How about offering a free version and let us users decide if we want to pay or not? I don’t like monthly subscriptions because I do t use apps that often. So please do not charge my account for anything. Thank you!
