This mobile app is terrible. There’s no way to track your food, no way to look at the details of your current or previous orders, and no way to contact customer service. I ordered through here a few months ago and after waiting 40 minutes with the order still in “pending” status then finally emailing BAM (bc no way to contact through Blackand ) they informed me my order was canceled. Was reluctant to use BAM again but this time it took an hour and a half for the food to be delivered, during which time we had to call the restaurant for order updates because there is no way to track the order through Blackand … They do not provide a tracking link like Blackand description says they do. There was an item missing from the delivery and no way to contact the restaurant or customer service through Blackand , so I had to again email them with the order number.I love the idea of supporting black owned businesses through Blackand but Blackand is just terrible. These businesses are missing out on revenue because the BAM app is so bad.

I would really love to rate app higher as I have been promoting it all over my social media. I read the details and checked to make sure the restaurant I ordered from was within their delivery distance (it was!) I ordered though I was bummed that the full menu wasn’t in the selection choices. After waiting the hour for my food I checked I see my order was cancelled with no explanation.. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Blackand works when it wants to. I’ve been very patient but now I’m annoyed. When it works great it’s lovely. But when there’s an issue don’t expect customer service to assist. I placed an order and it took 3 hours to be delivered. After 2 hours I sent a message in Blackand and then a DM requesting to know where my food was. No response. But I immediately got a notification that my food was coming and will arrive in an hour. No apologies from customer service. The food was cold, so I know the restaurant made it in a timely fashion. And a side I requested was replaced with something else I’d never order. I’m willing to update this if things get better but after that I think I will take a break until things improve.

I used Blackand before the upgrade. As of now, Blackand is less useable. I assume improvements are in progress so I’ll check back in a few days. Here are the issues I found and recommendations: 1) can’t see any info about the restaurants when they’re closed for delivery. App should allow you to click on restaurant name, then show restaurant name, address, phone number, hours, menu as well as delivery status. Currently, only name and delivery status (‘unavailable for delivery’) are showing. 2) on the search screen, restaurant categories are listed but when you click on a category, no restaurants appear. ‘Loading’ appears at the top of the screen. Looking forward to using Blackand .

I loveeeee the idea of a black-owned delivery company. I was excited to download Blackand . Now, I’m deleting it. The time is 8:08pm and I cannot order from any of the restaurants in my neighborhood. First, I tried Daaiyah’s Delicious but the delivery date is tomorrow. The other six restaurants are apparently undeliverable in my area. Why give the ability to pick options if it’s not available when I want it? I hope you’ll continue to tweak Blackand . I’ll come back in a few months. Good luck.

I first started ordering from black and mobile there was no problems besides the long wait to receive food. But last 3 times I ordered there was a problem. The first problem was I ordered my food then an hour later after waiting I was told the stored canceled it. The second incident my delivery driver got lost and my food was 2 hours late and cold. Those two times I didn’t say anything. But this last order was completely horrible. Which caused me to delete Blackand and never order threw black and mobile again. I ordered food from Southside Zabihah. I ordered a salmon cheesesteak they later called and said they ran outta salmon. So instead I asked for a fish hoagie I also ordered seafood rice and cheese fries. My order came on time but my food had a long curly HAIR in it and my cheese fries were missing. I emailed black and mobile about my problem and for a possible refund. It’s now been a few days and I still haven’t received an email back smh. I wish them the best tho

My experience with this organization was not great. It took them over a hour to deliver our food and it was the wrong thing. Not even from the restaurant we ordered from. According to the restaurant they didn’t pick up our order. We had to contact them through social media in order to get a response and when we did, they blamed the restaurant, saying they gave them the wrong order. The idea of this organization is awesome. However, they need to work on their communicative skills and maybe a new method of taking orders

First of all, love love love this business model and will definitely be sticking with Blackand as it continues to launch in Atlanta.

Feedback:
I live in a gated apartment building and am currently unable to edit my address from the default location which is incorrect, and I would also like to be able to give the delivery driver directions to get through the gate via Blackand to make sure they have a smooth delivery experience. Haven’t tried ordering yet since I can’t input my address but can’t wait to order soon! Keep up the great work y’all!

I really want to support your business, but Blackand is problematic. There are huge lag times as you navigate the site, so much that I gave up. Please apply fixes that will allow a smoother experience for you clients. I’m giving a 4 star because I believe in you guys!!

I like how they support the black businesses and try to cater to the target audience but if a restaurant is not open or available for delivery or pick up it would be good to see that immediately on Blackand . I tried to order from the Better Box twice and my order was cancelled, twice.
Either the restaurant needs to communicate more effectively or Blackand needs to display that the restaurant is not available.

This is good option for local black owned food delivery. I tried this service few months ago and it didn’t work well. Recently it got update so it has order tracking, Apple Pay and easier order process. Looking forward to using this more

I love this but since each restaurant only delivers within 5 miles it gets tedious typing each address into maps to see if it’s near where I’m at. I travel a lot so I don’t know the area where I’m staying 9 times out of 10. Would love if this was added in the future!

The company is growing and getting their system perfected to properly serve the community and the restaurants they partner with so they can have a similar and smooth experience as if they were using the competitors who have millions of dollars behind them. Great concept and will be in every major city that has black owned businesses soon!

This is such an amazing app and such a genius idea. I don’t get to the city often enough to order through Black And Mobile but when I am, this is my go to service. Every experience has been pleasant, professional and my food is always on time and hot. Keep us the good work and thank you for Blackand✊🏾

I bought a few gift cards for friends and Blackand was super easy to use. I had a question and the support texted me back really quickly. My friends enjoyed their food and the experience. And the team reached out again afterwards to make sure everything was good. Really good experience, I can tell they care about everyone from the customers to the restaurants to the workers.

I’m from Philadelphia and so glad these young brothers are making a name and brand not only for themselves, but for all of us in the community. I had problems logging in my account and contacted them and in less than 1 hour they fixed my problem. Great customer service and great delivery service of Black owned businesses here in Philly. They been expanding to other cities now which is awesome. Congratulations!!

I only have good things to say about Blackand and this company in general. The people behind it are genuine and hardworking. Everything I’ve experienced, even at the start when there were minor glitches, they were so professional and personable getting everything fixed in a timely manner. They are responsive, what they do for the community is invaluable, and I truly appreciate this apps creation.

I love this business model and will support as much as I can as they continue to build their staff and scope to meet the demands of the public. There are complaints about availability but just like your fav delivery apps some areas are out of reach or end delivery services at a specific time. Additionally, some of the businesses on Blackand have limited business hours based on their current demand. As this business grows, it will change the offerings of hundreds of black owned businesses. So trust the process. Hopefully when using Blackand you can see the vision.

I don’t order food to the home much simply because why pay for delivery when I can go pick it up. But this being a black business I wanted to support. But $7 for delivery is WILD. I feel that most people aren’t going to want to put up $7 on top of their $10-$15 +tip meal, it’s just not worth it. Other than that, there’s an interface issue, for example if I add something from a store that’s too far from my zip, it’ll assume that everything i add to the cart is now too far so then I have to close and reopen Blackand . Anyway thanks for hearing me out!

When Black and Mobile came to Atlanta, I was excited to support the black businesses in the area. While the delivery cost is a little higher than your other delivery platforms, I feel it’s worth it because I’m supporting my community. Also, Blackand has the BEST notification sound in the world! It always brings a smile to my face!

I applaud these young men for what they’re doing. I ordered food last night and received it quickly and it was still warm. Blackand is very easy to use.

Honestly, this is the best delivery service out there. Other companies could learn a lot from their customer service, time management, quality employees, and most importantly .... it’s fast and affordable

I had the greatest experience with using Black and Mobile. It didn’t take long for my food to be delivered at all and I’m excited that there is a black business to support other black owned businesses.
