There are some very inappropriate “quotes” That I was shocked to see on a catholic bible app. The attitude page has nothing to do with Catholicism or growing in your faith.. I was excited to share TheHolyCatholicBible with my family, but that won’t be happening, I don’t understand why these things are necessary. We have enough worldly, ungodly influence in our culture today, I was hoping a specifically Catholic app would be safe! I think the rest is great if you would remove the vulgarity in the quote sections and use your talents for good and virtue, helping us grow closer to Christ. Looking forward to hopefully seeing that change! God bless!

I don’t know if I trust bible apps that require you to buy them or get apps. I spiritually struggle with the idea that with all this pain in the world, the suffering, the manipulation of Christians by leaders that claim Christ but follow the world, that we can’t get an ad free bible app. I know the company needs money, but more badly than the world needs access to a bible. Can volunteers not sell prayer cards for you? I mean, the devil only needs one distraction electronically now to pull us away from the moment we might conjoin with the Holy Spirit. What if that distraction got the child the would’ve unified the churches again?

Finally a Bible I can read since my vision has been affected by cataracts and it’s to soon for surgery. Even giant bring Bibles were hard to read and heavy to hold.
If they have book marks I haven’t found them yet but will continue to look. If there are none, adding them would be great.

I have tried to read the Bible from cover to cover before but this is so well organized and easy to use I feel confident about this time. Because of several surgeries my eyes tire easily and when that happens I switch to TheHolyCatholicBible reading aloud to me. Very nice.

I like hearing the Bible being read as I read along. The robotic/mechanical voice is very distracting. That, plus it also calls out the number of each verse which isn’t necessary. I grew up watching religious movies with a lot of English actors. That sounds like a nice choice…😁 Otherwise, it’s a good Catholic Bible app.

There was literally a digital slot machine ad that popped up when I opened TheHolyCatholicBible . Less than 5 verses later of reading Luke, I get Levi's jeans popping up in my face, which seems sort of ironic considering the traditional reputation the Duoay Rheims gets and the modernist reputation of jeans. Instead of getting distracted yourself, TheHolyCatholicBible does it for you, so maybe it's of higher value than I'm giving. I think one star is quite generous though.

On day 8 the readings keep automatically exit out of app when you press on Judith chapter 17. Then when you look at your percentage done with Judith, it says you’ve read 100%. It doesn’t make any sense. Big glitch that needs fixed I would say. I would like my money back.

While TheHolyCatholicBible appeared to be a great resource for when I don’t have access to my bible, I am rating it 1-star because while it is listed as “a holy catholic bible” app— it is NOT the Catholic bible. It is missing the books from it.

I would not download this if you are Catholic and want access to all of scripture.

I bought the ad free version and it was a waste. Every time I turn a chapter an ad would pop op and had to wait to clear it about 2-3 seconds. When you are constantly doing this is very bothersome. Email the company several times to no avail so I deleted TheHolyCatholicBible . Wasted $7.99.

So I like TheHolyCatholicBible just to read not audio because it’s like the voice of Siri. But a few books have random numbers in them.

TheHolyCatholicBible description claims this is the New Jerusalem Bible translation, but it is actually the “Catholic Public Domain” translation instead — quite different, and nowhere near the awesome literary and emotional power of the NJB. Too bad, as I would have happily paid the lifetime no-ad price if this actually had the NJB translation.

It would be helpful to have a real voice reading instead of computer voice.

UPDATE: After I pad for the FULL lifetime the Bible stopped working. I’m still waiting for my FULL REFUND

I paid for the lifetime add free and now it doesn’t open at all. I will expect a FULL REFUND otherwise it’s sad to say TheHolyCatholicBible who makes a Catholic Bible just stole my money. What a shame

Occasionally has very inappropriate ads

So I got TheHolyCatholicBible and there’s these wierd numbers all over the PAGES and I don’t know how to get it off its just a copy print I guess. And there is some “missing books”.

When you pay for ad free you will still SEE ads! Also stopped playing audio and there’s no HELP. Some kind of scam?!

Don’t know what happened but TheHolyCatholicBible updated and a lot of the cool features stopped working. Hope it gets fixed.

Instead of having the color fonts, the code is in there in front of the words. It makes it challenging to read

I thought it would be people reading the Bible, it’s automated with no inflections. Disappointed and will delete app.
