Now that William Hill is not the only online sports book in Iowa, we can shop around. WH definitely has a great variety of games and good lines. However it’s hard to read your bet in the bet history - beside date, game abbreviation and perhaps odds, there is little to identify your bet unless you write it down or take a photo of your betting slip. WilliamHillIowaSportsBook still has problems taking your bet the first time. I often need to restart a few times before my bet is taken. Not sure what takes it so long to accept a bet. I do like the quick bet feature. But again that doesn’t help unless your bet is accepted without restarting WilliamHillIowaSportsBook 2-3 times. Shop around. There are more Iowa sports books coming online with much better options that don’t require restarts.

I thought the point of a betting app is to allow you to place bets efficiently. It’s ridiculous that WilliamHillIowaSportsBook will hang every single time unless you place a bet within about 20 seconds of logging in. So, basically, to use WilliamHillIowaSportsBook , you have to know which bets you’re going to make, login, and place them all in about 20 seconds. If you want to make a bet 30 seconds later and WilliamHillIowaSportsBook is still in the background and you can still move around between categories, MAKE SURE TO LOGOUT AND LOG BACK IN BEFORE YOU BET. Just because it seems like it’s working doesn’t mean it will when you place a bet. It will hang, the bet will never go through and you’ll have to reboot your phone every time it happens in order to get it to reset. Junk.

Understandably a lot of traffic on Sunday but was so glitchy it wouldn’t even open to place in-game bets around the 4:00 and 7:30 time frames.

Not sure if it’s a safety feature or it’s timing out, but would like the option of opening WilliamHillIowaSportsBook , doing research and placing bets as I go. Instead, if there’s more than a minute or two of inactivity, you’ll go to place a bet and it’ll just spin. Very frustrating to have to force close and reopen. Need to manually write all the bets down like it’s 1987 and then input them into WilliamHillIowaSportsBook .

They “upgraded” the interface or something today because now I’m getting more errors than ever. Trying to click on my account to see pending bets and it says not found. Faaaaantastic.

HATE how it emails me every time I log in. Again, pry a safety feature, but I pry log in 30+ times a day between the timing out and just checking lines. I’m not going to notice the 31st time when some hacker logs in because I’ve glossed over all the emails.

Some positives, it does update your wins/settles pretty quickly after a game so it’s got that going for it. Also, I like the quick bet feature.

I tried to give it zero stars but it wouldn’t let me WilliamHillIowaSportsBook has a lot of issues it glitches it freezes it doesn’t except bats and can’t find you it’s slow my most recent issue is I tried to place a $200 bet on a football game and instead it placed two separate beds for $100 each their customer service is bull crap all they can tell you is they can pull CGI Reports well those CGI reports aren’t going to tell you that their system glitched but now I have two of the exact same bats for $100 each which makes no sense at all I am very disappointed WilliamHillIowaSportsBook is been around for a couple months now and has not improved you would think with all the money they make off of people they could have a decent app

Does Draftkings have an app yet for sports betting in Iowa? App freezes all the time. I have to shut my app down all the time when it freezes while placing a bet. Numbers change constantly so by the time you hit the right buttons, the bet is no longer valid. Seems “scammy” to me. Also there is minimal information about bets placed. I bet a receiver in the CFB championship game to have over 5 receptions. Game started, couldn’t remember who the WR was. Logged into app and went to my bets and couldn’t find the name of the WR, just the bare minimum info about the bet. App stinks.

Would expect so much more from a betting app. Will repeat many of the same review comments. Have consistently had issues requiring me to restart WilliamHillIowaSportsBook multiple times to place bets. Trying to understand your betting history is a joke. No teams listed for parlays, prop bets listed without much detail, etc. Would also expect more betting options which is obvious compared to other apps I’ve used in other states. Maybe competition will speed up some improvements but definitely look at other options.

Sure WilliamHillIowaSportsBook gets the job done, but it takes some extra research by the user to find specifics about a game, like a start time.
On the in-game live bets there is no current score of a game or match posted, just the current odds.
There is also no way to see exactly what your bet is after you make it, specifically on parlays. WilliamHillIowaSportsBook just tells you that you’ve submitted a parlay and doesn’t give an option to review the bets you’ve put on the parlay.
Overall there is a lot to be desired from WilliamHillIowaSportsBook.

William Hill is a terrible sports book, I can’t wait until FanDuel gets there app going. I often have to force close WilliamHillIowaSportsBook and reopen it to place a bet. There lines have 5 to 20 cents more juice than any of the other books. Complete garbage, I have no idea how this book got as big as they did but they didn’t do it by good bookmaking. Why bet here for -110 when I can get even money at FanDuel. Once other apps go live in the state I will be getting rid of this

You can’t log in half the time. When you are finally able to log in, you can’t bet half of the time without WilliamHillIowaSportsBook crashing or timing out and leaving you to start over again. Don’t even think about trying to place a bet during peak hours of games. At first I figured updates would be made accordingly, but months later nothing has changed and it continues to get worse.

WilliamHillIowaSportsBook was never good starting out, as in very hard to place a bet/ get the bet to go through. Restarted phone and uninstalled and re installed WilliamHillIowaSportsBook multiple times for the ability of 30% chance of placing a bet. And today for Thursday night football WilliamHillIowaSportsBook spins on locating for ever and then by the time it realizes that I am in Iowa the odds have changed and bet will not go through and stays spinning. What a joke, please let’s get an update.

Literally the worst app on my phone. Hate it. I cannot wait until more sports books come to Iowa. William Hill, you had a chance to come into our state and secure a strong relationship with your new client base and you failed to capitalize. It might not be obvious to you at the moment, but when people finally have their choice of sports books, you’re going to be remembered as the place that had WilliamHillIowaSportsBook. Good luck with that.

Multiple times I try to place a bet and it just sits there trying to load. Only way to fix is to close out of app and get back in. Also once you place bet there is no way to see what the odds are or who you bet on. Just that it came out of your account. If you live anywhere near the other casinos I would use the other interfaces and stay away from William hill.

Never lets you bet on time keep throwing bunch of errors and when you finally bet you end up betting to a different line then initially you tried bet. Horrible!!!

Decent app. Doesn’t have as many of the individual player prop bets per game which isn’t a huge deal, just kind of fun to bet those from time to time. The biggest issue I have is not being able to see what is in my parlay bets after I place them. You can go see that you have a 3 team parlay, but you can’t look at what makes up the parlay. A few tweets makes this a much better app.

The open bet history (ability to see who you've bet on, what is outstanding, what lines you previously bet on) is extremely lacking. The Nevada version isn't like that (from memory), so why does the Iowa version lack that information?
