I’m a brand new customer with a brand new motorized shade setup…after successfully logging into TaHoma once, now on every single device (iPhone, iPad, etc) TaHoma will not even load passed the logo screen. I’ve done a hard reset of my device, I’ve deleted and redownloaded TaHoma , and I’ve cleared app cache. Nothing gets TaHoma functioning again. Customer service offers no phone number to contact a human being.
Very disappointing.

I’ve been with Somfy for years as a dealer and a user.
I upgraded all my rts motors on my 2” tilt blinds to the new zigbee motors 6 months ago and they assured me as per their press releases that everything works great ! Well sure they work with TaHoma but you can not control them
With Alexa , HomeKit or google home or Siri.. They literally never tested voice control and even just for scenes from the Alexa app it doesn’t work.
I’ve emailed and spoken to them for months and they have no answers and or if they are going to fix this.
Totally defeats the concept of having their new zigbee motors and we as a company who supports Somfy can’t get any response from

I think it works with the assistant app. So it should be that hard. But it literally doesn’t even accurately tell you if the shade is open or closed on the google
Home app. Fix it. There literally is a huge WiFi block in my living room just to make this enabled remotely and I can’t even tell if it’s up or down? Or use it appropriately in the Google home app. Which literally gives me a status of all my devices. I’d give TaHoma 4/5 stars otherwise. It’s nice to have ability to drive past my house (not on WiFi) and put the shade up if I think some wind is going to come by.

Downgraded from my last review two stars . TaHoma is primitive , seems out of the last century in regards to usability and the lack of customizations .
Don’t get me wrong, you will be able to control your blinds and shutters and screens - yes two different groups . I have 3rd party products linked ( heat pump ) and wanted to remove one of 3 related “sensors” - did the “delete “ in advanced setting for that specific sensor , next thing my whole heat pump -zones , hot water etc is gone ! Some one said “we need an app”, so this product was made. Unfortunately, they took down the web interface.
To truly maximize the power of this product one needs a full screen with intuitive menus. Our co-op has SE, S and W exposures. Programming the shades to control UV and heat gain using TaHoma is painful.

Not intuitive, often scenes can’t be accessed. Quite unpleasant to use

The fact you can add app control to your Somfy system is great!
But… the UX is designed by a group of UX designers with no experience of real users. In my house with 6 blinds:
- close means let the blind go out.
- open means pull back, eg close.
I’m sure this is due to a compromise that there are so many different Somfy models. But at least you should be able to edit.
In my house some blinds were set up as terrace by my installer. But I see it as 6 blinds I want to control, why cannot all be in my Home Screen? Even a tiny phone can fit this.

Fixing minimum threshold for my led lamps is not working for me, and I cant get help in English as I have theFrench app. Also the timer on my lights do not work, unless I turn them on via TaHoma . Installing new equipment such as heating has been impossible for me to figure out. Creating shortcuts and connecting apple home has not worked for me and the help section is not helping me. Also my sound system continuously changes to error messages. Basically it is not user friendly in my opinion.

Scheduling only works intermittently

I transferred my connexoon hub device from connexoon to this app app everything is perfect except that the open and close blinds buttons is reversed and assistant commands act the same. (Wish it will be fixed)

We just added 15 Motorized shades in our home. I was able to easily set upper and lower limits, group them by room, and program them for automated functions. TaHoma is very intuitive. We have the newer zigbee motors which connected easily to the this app Switch. Great product!

I’ve only used TaHoma for a couple of weeks, but really like the scheduling feature. It would be great if the scheduling capability allowed for the user to set still point in increments (ie 20%,30%… or 25%, 50%).
