I don’t usually write reviews as I don’t get enough time to do so, but have to admit, this app’s customer support staff is absolutely the nicest out there, I had an issue with a scooter that wasn’t working properly, literally after a minute of sending a feedback to them, they called me regarding that issue and immediately offered a refund, this is the way a business should be working like, this app’s might not be the quickest scooters out there, but it definitely has the most friendly and English - speaking staff and that’s what matters the most to us non Turkish residents / tourist.

In order to start using MARTI to ride a scooter you first need to verify your profile. The verification, however, doesn’t seem to work at all if you’re not a Turkish citizen. They have a form where you can upload your passport photo and information but after trying for at least twenty times in the past two weeks, I am still unable to verify my profile. The same error message shows every time.

I notified their support about my issue but got only a one line response in return: “upload passport in app”. They didn’t even try to understand my issue or offer any helpful advice. And now they don’t answer my follow-up emails.

Save yourself the trouble and use other user-friendly scooter services available in Istanbul (hint: the red ones and yellow ones are great and very easy to use).

I don’t do reviews on apps often but this app was great! As an American with extremely limited Turkish when I had an issue setting up and verifying my information I figured I was in trouble but no, their service reps spoke English and helped me immediately! I also had an issue with a malfunctioning scooter where I couldn’t end the ride and called and they sorted it for me right away. I couldn’t be happier with their quality of support and services!

It was definitely a worth of experience, MARTI is so practical and easy to guide you during the process, I recommend everyone in turkey to try it and move around a beautiful city of Istanbul.

So useful, fun, and easy to operate!

My only two difficulties are:

1) it was impossible to verify my account at first; later on, it worked fine and I don’t know why

2) I wish I could see the no-park zones before starting the ride. I went really far only to realize I was in a giant no-park zone and had to backtrack half the distance, losing time and money. I would have planned my trip differently if I’d been able to see the no-park zone beforehand. As it is, I should have looked at the map right after unlocking, but I still would have lost the unlocking fee.

Tried once, great experience with a local credit card and phone number. Couldn’t verify a foreign number (didn’t receive the verification message) and couldn’t use a foreign card (just received an error message), hence 4 stars.

For international people, you should be carefully to use, I click to register but the company did not sent me any confirmation, the agreement is only in Turkish language, I do not know what they are talking about, but I am stuck to receive their confirmation and email them my problem but no response for 24 hours!!! I see people use it, but it is not reliable for me yet without a good customer service and WhatsApp number to follow up,

When I pick up a scooter that doesn’t work, you take your money for two unused minutes and don’t give it back to me, this is stealing.
When I try to park the scooter next to other this app scooter and your application doesn’t accept it for ten minutes, then you did t only steal my time that I was trying to save by using a scooter, you also stole money.
If your service say they can’t help with those issues why do you have them?!???

Easy to ride

In the Sisli district, MARTI has introduced ‘no park zones’ where you are unable to park and end your ride. The problem is, if you are outside of this area, it still won’t let you park. Either MARTI can’t judge your location correctly or they haven’t marked the boundaries correctly. They should get rid of these zones or fix their app

Nobody answer support when you cannot verify profile. I tried 30 times at two weeks ago. If your not Turkish citizen app need to upload your passport or ID card and after upload your passport app doesn’t respond.

BinBin is better !
I m trying since weeks to verify my account but MARTI not working … I even sent them email and I included my ID card and passport but they keep asking to upload via app … I explained many times that I already did that but no one hearing me !

With BinBin I verified my account in 5minutes

This is first time ever I couldn’t use e-scooter. Never had any issues in many countries I visited. It took me a while to register (registration flow should be revised) I added 3 cards non of any worked, I was asked to verify myself twice. Finally got error message that my card can’t be used.

I am not a Turkish citizen and I tried to rent a scooter I couldn’t cause I think they don’t accept non Turkish citizens I tried to verify my profile thousands of time but it isn’t verifying maybe because of my non citizenship don’t know or maybe there is no one accepting the account request.

Unfortunately, there are so many problems for verifying the identity of users whether with passport or Kimlik. In this competitive market it would damage your brand and will limit your customers. Please facilitate verification and expand your market accordingly.

The terms of use are so not friendly, the devices are broken, the ride is expensive and if you use it once you feel you don't want to use it again. A bicycle journey is much more fun and much cheaper.

Saw one scooter in levent downloaded MARTI but the map shows zero and wherever i drop the pin it says none found. All of istanbul.

I downloaded MARTI and send my USA ID and setup my credit card but I was not able to make reservation or add funds to the account. Do not recommend and there is very options in Istanbul.

I cant register to use it when i put my passport photo it tells me make sure your information is matching when its matching i cant verify my account

I didn’t receive the confirmation message on my local number. Waited for more than 30 minutes.

the this app that I got had a problem it keep boosting without my control

I can never end my ride at first try MARTI always gives an error and need to be re-opened...

Sistemde arıza olduğundan kilitlenmediğini söyledikleri martıdan kullanmadığım tutarı da çekmişler ve bunu müşteri temsilcisiyle görüşüp bıraktığım saati teyit etmelerine rağmen yaptılar. Sistemsel sorunlarının hesabını müşterilerine kesen bir firma asla kullanmam

Kaydolmak imkansiz. Ismimde Sh harfi var. klavye ingilizce oldugu icin Sahin yazamiyorum. Yazamadigim icin TCKN’yi esleyemiyor. Baska yerden kopyala yapistira da izin vermiyor. Uygulamaya kaydolup kullanmak imkansiz. Musteri olamadan kaybettiniz beni.

Ancak fiyatı daha uygun olmalı diye düşünüyorum
