“THEY DONT GUARANTEE AUTHENTIC ITEMS!” This is such a terrible app to buy things on the biddings don’t keep you up to time by the second only by the minute (makes it’s harder to bid). You can’t even contact the sellers before you decide to bid to ask any questions, instead you have to send this app a message to ask the seller which is really stupid! Buyee needs so much work it’s ridiculous I tried to buy something that said it had 3 minutes left and it didn’t go through, and what I was willing to pay was way past the price someone won it for. Absolutely trash app. Barely any Pokémon cards on here and all types of random products. (Stay away you have been warned fake items may come your way).

For Pokémon cards on yahoo auction. Got some bid on item and was outbid by other buyers. Then I bid on something else. Then I was told I won the item?????
Also cannot easily leave a review for the seller so hard to tell which one is legit. Need to have systems to put reviews so we can warn other buys on certain scammer sellers.
I guess I will use my 400+ dollars to buy a huge lesson. Want to give my kids really awesome Christmas gift and turns out those sellers on yahoo auction pretty much all scammers. See whether can get my money back. But most importantly to have way to review buyers on this app should be essential. So please be AWARE!!!!!

Being that I import cars, I need to import parts and supply parts for customers. Well this app quite literally prohibits any car parts from being shipped. Simple things such as break pads and rotors or suspension components. Like what’s the point of telling me I can buy just about anything from Japan (according to advertisements this would technically be considered false advertising) and then say no to everything I NEED to buy. Now having to outsource and get other companies to ship since this app doesn’t want business or even getting my friends in Japan to go out of their way to ship parts for me. This is absurd and a HUGE inconvenience for my business.

I can’t tell you wether or not the shopping on here is good or not, but Buyee is absolutely useless for new users and here is why. I have never used their website before since I didn’t even know it existed until after finding Buyee . When I opened Buyee it only has a Log In option. There is no Sign Up option. You can not make an account through the Log In option. If you do not already have an account with them, then you can not sign in to Buyee at all. This is basic app stuff. Why wouldn’t you have a Sign in option for people to create an account? It is completely useless for new users. It is very disappointing.

Tried Buyee for the first time last night and bid on some authentic-looking items only to find out that this app won't help you if you receive a fake or get scammed at all.

They also don't disclose how much shipping will actually cost. I've sent things and purchased things internationally before from various countries including Japan, and I've never ever seen shipping as expensive as on this app. I'm guessing they're taking profits from the "shipping fee" in addition to the other fees they already charge you when you buy an item.

When I tried to reach out to cancel the bids I had pending due to their policies, they refused to cancel them and told me I have to accept if I win. I then also learned that you get charged more and more if you don't pay their ridiculous shipping fees in time. It's been a terrible first experience.

I bought a bunch of contact lenses from them,
And when they shipped to the US, the ups holded my package and needed the vendor information from the stores that I purchased, and this app did nothing about it instead they said if the packages return, they not going to refunded anything which is ridiculous, I used Buyee because I don’t know Japanese, they can helped us to communicate with the Japanese supplier and deliver the products that we purchased to us. But when something happened, they just stepped out of the problem and said you should provide those informations (the information Of the Japanese stores. The license etc.) yourself. Seriously, if I can read Japanese, I wouldn’t even need your service.

This is the only site I’m able to get rare goods from, but they are wayyyyyy too expensive. I mean, it’s to be expected, so it’s not a huge deal. The big deal that I hate is their service. If a package is lost, they will take MONTHS to even try to solve the issue and make you do most of the work. So not only is the service extremely slow, but they are also very lazy. I never even got a complete refund, so I basically gave them money for no reason. I wouldn’t recommend this site unless there’s something you absolutely want, but just be prepared for high prices and horrible service if something goes wrong

Listen, I like this app, I want to see them do well, and they do, for the most part, but their mobile app is just embarrassing. The pages load extremely slowly, I get logged out and have to manually type my email and password nearly everytime I close Buyee , and frequently Buyee crashes.

The web browser version has none of these problems (minus complaint 2, but it is much quicker to login on with a full physical keyboard and mouse than a mobile keyboard), and it’s not viable for a good mobile app. I hope they do a complete redesign in the near future, because it feels like a web browser port, than a dedicated mobile app.

When it does work though, it’s really handy to have available, it follows a similar UI to the web browser version so I’m able to easily find what I’m looking for.

Most people are probably better off using their browser on mobile or on a desktop if possible and I’ll explain why. Notifications you get on your phone do not default to your language but appear to be randomly selected; I believe I’ve seen Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Hindi, etc but never English. Probably 80% of the time when you click on a notification it opens and immediately crashes Buyee so you have no idea what the notification was for since it’s not in your language. The language translation options of Yahoo Japan auctions are only shown when you click on the more info description vs pretty much every page when accessing from your browser. Lastly, Buyee is extremely slow to load pages vs just accessing from a browser even on mobile. There is lots of room for improvement.

I have been using Buyee for 2 years. My first 2 purchases were amazing and then my next purchases were a mess. I wanted this item, but it was listed as “prohibited” because it’s was not allowed to ship to the U.S, but in reality it wasn't prohibited (it was a car part). It was purchased and shipped from a friend of mine from japan to me and it passed customs like no other. I also had a purchase that got shipped to their warehouse and then claimed it to be prohibited last minute so I had have them ship it to my friend in japan and then ship it again to me. It also passed custom again. They list things as prohibited when it is not. Be ware for these things to happen. If you have family/friends who live in japan (NOT APA), they can get things for you without paying the expensive fees.

First after I bought the item, once it arrives to the warehouse, they’ll give me 30 days to pay off the customs of the package and if my 30 days are up. They’ll charge me extra. So I had to combined all of my stuff in 1 so all of my stuff will be shipped then the total came to $86 and I was shaking so much after I bought the shipping to deliver to the US & my house. Omg I feel so awful ima not use this app anymore. Not deleting it but oh my god. I can understand why so many people complain about this app is mainly because Of there shipping’s.

I really like that you guys have an app for this website as it makes online shopping/browsing much more accessible now that I can look through it anytime I want with my phone. However, I like to chat and ask questions with the agents quite frequently and the keyboard always glitches in the way of the chat bubble, so I cant see what I’m typing. It makes it especially difficult to send them links to the item when they need it. So please fix the chat glitches

this app is a fantastic proxy service. Fees are cheaper than other trusted services. money conversion to yen is done after purchasing so bidding on yahoo is mostly stress free. Coupons come up here and there that save large sums of money. Great for buying Hatsune Miku and Touhou ぬいぐるみ　✌︎('ω')✌︎. Shipping prices are expensive, but average for Shipping to countries outside Japan, especially since they primarily offer fast options like DHL express, EMS and ECMS. You get your items in less than a week on average. Faster than buying something from Texas.

As far as proxy buying services go, I’m relatively new. This being said this app was very user friendly as far as searching through and finding just what I needed. I found a great deal for a large quantity of rare toys on Japan’s Mercari website and was astounded at how fast the package came to me!

This being said it should be noted that shipping is fairly high. It’ll get to you with little hastle but expect to pay a pretty penny getting it to you. They’ll also charge a little fee for inspection and other services (I believe it was only approx 5$ extra though). I’m planning on reselling quite a few of these items to my friends to recoup some money but honestly for an avid collector needing a proxy, I would recommend this service 100%

I love love love Buyee, you have access to oversea countries and they make it so convenient and helpful to use Buyee . I love mercari japan because I can purchase items not found here in the states for a substantial lower price from individual sellers. They make the process so easy to use and to receive. I have purchased 3 items so far and everything has been smooth and perfect. Only con is the fees can be high and shipping cost, but other than that I plan to continue using.

I’ve been using this app since 2020, on and off until a few months ago, I primarily use Mercari Japan, as someone who already loves using Mercari in the US, and this service is fantastic! It’s easy to use and find what I want. Although not all items are for sale, which is strange.

The only bad thing I have to say is that the performance is a bit slow, I’m not sure if it’s a PC problem as well but it takes a little bit to load into things.

Buyee is amazing. The stores, the shipping services and the customer service. It’s my 3rd time buying and never had a problem.
You do have to be careful with the processing, plan, shipping and consolidation fees. Once you get the hang of those, you’ll know that it’s worth it.
Also, the customer service is amazing, they answer the next day (you have to take in mind they are in japan and have a different time zone, so they aren’t going to respond in THAT second).
And if the item goes out of stock, they give you your refund really quick.

As a collector of Japanese figures and games, this is always my go to for bidding and buying in general for products in Japan. They give you a broad range of delivery options, and they always delivered with care. I’ve messaged the customer service over simple questions or explanations, and they are always kind and fast at responding. My only problem is that they don’t have an auto translate (that I know of), which is fine, with a quick google search you’ll get the words you are looking for, and they give you a way of saving the specific word just in case you don’t find biddings for it and want to search it up later on the line.

Buyee is literally the same as the website, but it is much slower to load obsoletely anything. You are better off using the website. You find that some of the functions do not even work, like a drop-down menu that won’t drop down or a button that won’t let you click on it.

I love the website and Buyee ! I’ve found so many cool items for dirt cheap using Buyee. Stuff like Kaws, BAPE, Pokémon cards and a lot more! They have the fastest and most reasonable priced shipping around!! I’m talking like 2 days from Japan to the East coast! Amazing site with access to shop so many different sites and third party platforms like Mercari japan and the yahoo auctions!! I love you this app!!!
