Checkers Sixty60 Reviews

Search is broken, typing any terms into search box results in nothing. This makes it impossible to use CheckersSixty60 . Tried on multiple devices same result.
The search started working later, I use a modern iPhone device with the latest iOS and checkers app version. The search function was broken at the time I wrote this review.
It seems that CheckersSixty60 and supporting infrastructure is not very stable. If it was maintenance causing the issue just notifying CheckersSixty60 user of said maintenance would at least set user expectation properly to try again later.

I tried this today for the first time! Never again! The good I ordered was not in stock! My app says please contact me to verify what I want it replaced with! They didn’t. Instead checkers seapoint sent me good I don’t even use! I asked the driver he said it’s not their problem I must call head office! You can’t call anyone only email them! You can’t return because there is no system in place for this. So I’m stuck with goods I don’t even use! No notification or call to ask or verify !! This is pathetic. So not use ... always the worst at checkers sA

For 6 months I have been having issues with CheckersSixty60. Every time I log in to order, I get an error. Sometimes it says I don't have an account or it's something else. Almost every time I need to order, to spend hours with customer support to resolve it. I also pay for Xtra plus savings. They say they've resolved it and every week it's the same problem. With the new app I haven't been able to log I. For over 2 weeks. I've spent hours on the phone and when I issue a ticket, I get an auto reply that my issue is resolved when it in fact is not. When I call, they say someone will give me a call or follow up in 30 minutes, and no one ever does. They're doing absolutely nothing to make it right. I will have to stop shopping here altogether

I have heard only good stuff about CheckersSixty60 and the service provided. I finally decided to try it out. And never ended up receiving my order. Probably delivered to the incorrect address. I’ve never had an issue like this before when ordering from Takalot, UberEats and MrD. I stay in an apartment building and there are a lot of them in the area. Checkers Sixty60 support was very helpful and eventually passed a credit note. However the inconvenience caused was too much. The delivery process is flawed as I experienced it first hand. There is no communication between the delivery driver and person awaiting delivery. Delivery process needs to be enhanced.

I LOVE Sixty60 - but sadly the speed of delivery is not nearly as convenient as it used to be. It 100% delivered to its name from the start. But since the launch of the new features and delivery of larger items, I struggle to get my order in under 2 hours. I ordered now at 11:15 and delivery time estimated is 2pm. :( That after it showed a 12-1pm delivery time while I ordered. It was world class delivery speed that has now slowed down and as I’m writing this I’m getting ready to get in the car to get the items I just ordered as needed before delivery. :(

Yesterday we placed an order at 17:30. It was accepted and then changed to 9:30 next day. So we canceled. Placed an order at 12:30 today, it was accepted for delivery between 13:00 and 14:00. Not ideal especially as it was placed at 12:30 and I was expecting a 13:30 delivery. Turns out that it wasn’t even delivered before 14:00. Finally got the delivery at 14:20.
The thing I really like about checkers is that I get my order in 60 minutes - if I cannot rely on this then I will use another service. I really like the 60 minute delivery…….

We have found CheckersSixty60 incredibly helpful, especially during Lockdown.
Very grateful for the people working to provide essentials. Thank you!
Some replacement options/order editing could be improved.

Love the idea of CheckersSixty60! I absolutely hate grocery shopping and CheckersSixty60 just takes out all the ugh of buying groceries. It’s easy to use and saves time. Obviously there is some issues to still be sorted out, but its first of its kind and unforeseen issues are normal. If I could make one suggestion though, it would be to perhaps give an option at the fruit/veg. For instance, if you want ripe bananas rather than green you can have the option to specify that. I usually opt for buying frozen/ ready made food rather than fresh on CheckersSixty60 , just because I am scared of what I am going to get.

Started using CheckersSixty60 since the lockdown, and it is leagues ahead of other grocery delivery options.
It’s a bit slow/buggy in the early morning when it’s probably being overloaded, but works smoothly later in the day.
Really great experience, honestly. I love how you can see how items are being shopped/substituted in real time.

I’m super impressed with CheckersSixty60 , and the delivery is quick and easy. I have been very happy with the ease of CheckersSixty60 and the service received from Checkers.
In terms of CheckersSixty60 it would be amazing if the ingredients of a product could be listed, currently it is just a description and some product info but no ingredients are listed which does make it trick when buying a product you haven’t tried before when food intolerances are in place.

Downloaded CheckersSixty60 today and received an accurate delivery within 35 minutes so I consider myself a convert. One issue though - when choosing Whatsapp Updates I cannot use an international number as the text box doesn’t accept strings longer than 9 digits. Please would you fix this in the next update?

this app is fantastic! Streaks above Woolies Dash and Pick n Pay ASAP! I have used this service quite a few times and have never been disappointed. The shoppers are efficient and follow instructions well. CheckersSixty60 keeps you up to date at all times during the process and the drivers are professional and friendly!

I am super impressed with CheckersSixty60. It has taken a huge chunk of stress out of my life. From start to finish…I cannot fault anything! Easy to use…such a wide variety of everything…great alternatives. I love to see the live shopping, the notifications if there is a problem, and to be able to track the driver. I can do last minute planning and get my shopping within an hour or two. It’s also very easy to report any issues and refunds are done almost immediately, should a product be unsatisfactory or left out inadvertently. I taught my 81 year old Mom how to use CheckersSixty60 and she loves it, uses it all the time now. Very user friendly. Best app ever!

I don’t see why CheckersSixty60 is only averaging 3.1. Sure… it doesn’t have perfectly smooth transitions, but besides this there’s nothing of consequence to fault here.

Payments are smooth and reliable. The alternative item selection is effortless and accurate and the delivery tracking is largely on point.

Looking forward to future improvements and updates.

CheckersSixty60 is fine, but the communication line is so bad. If you didn’t choose the alternative - you still can do that after you have a message “not is a stock” but when you choose it sometimes it doesn’t come and there is no way to ask for take this thing to your bag. them when you need to buy that same thing you have to pay extra money for the delivery

Fantastic app and fantastic service. Delivery within 60 minutes is still kind of mind-blowing.

One feature you could add to CheckersSixty60 : make it possible to flip an alternative with your selected product.

So many times I’ll be choosing an alternative and actually prefer one of the alternatives. To switch them now, you have to go back and search for the alternative while trying to remember the product details.

I have had the fortunate (or unfortunate) opportunity to use a grocery delivery service from quite an established grocery chain, more than one delivery service actually and I can definitely say that Checkers 60 is by far the best (or better) of the lot. They've saved me many a times... Definitely would recommend CheckersSixty60. Maybe one or 2 things I would tweak on CheckersSixty60 but other than that, good app and almost always good service.

IMO this is consistently the best grocery delivery app in SA when it comes to price delivery times and available. There has never been a case where something is marked as delivered but is not actually delivered, which happens pretty often with pick n pay and woolworths and is annoying to sort out.

However there is one bad thing about CheckersSixty60. It asks you to enable WhatsApp notifications very. Single. Time. It’s really annoying I don’t want to do stop asking maybe?

To be honest, I wasn’t sure this was going to work. It just seemed unlikely but I’m so glad to be wrong! Got all my Christmas grocery shopping done and delivered in one go - convenient and a great overall experience. Friendly delivery guy too to boot. CheckersSixty60 itself is a little buggy, make sure to make an account first otherwise the cart clears should you leave CheckersSixty60 but otherwise works well. Also a filter for the categories would be awesome. Thanks Checkers
